  1. Lore of the world(Plus a basic survival guide):
  2. Time: There are four different times in a day
  3. Morning: The time of day where you get to plot on the map, build defenses, etc.
  4. Afternoon: The time of day where you can explore outside
  5. Evening: Another chance to build defenses.
  6. Night: Sleep. And a chance to be horribly attacked.
  7. How time passes: Time will pass automatically, there is no need to interact with anything after setting up what you wish to do.
  8.
  9. Building defenses: After selecting which defenses to build, everyone will automatically build them over a number of days. Each defense will have a predetemined number of days to build and a series of differnt effects.
  10.
  11. The train: A heavily modified passenger train. Nobody knows where it came from, apart from maybe the Conductor, but he refuses to comment on it, and falls silently when questioned. The train is heavily armored and sealed to prevent the fog from getting in. It serves as a base of operations and has three different carriages:
  12. Storage: Where all the stuff you loot is kept. This carriage serves no real function beyond this.
  13. Sleeping/Living area: Where you sleep. Building defenses and reinforcing this area is a good idea, although this will take up time.
  14. Engine: The conductor lives and sleeps here. He might leave to get fuel for the train, but if the train is attacked in the night, he will bolt up the door to protect his beloved train, sealing the survivors in the living area to fight off the monsters.
  15.
  16. The map: Everyone gets to chose which place to go on the map out of a number of predetermined locations. The train will take a number of days to reach its location. Each location will have intel to help survivors make decisions
  17. Nightmares: Surviours will sometimes suffer from nightmares, which gives hints at which monsters are going to attack the train next.
  18.
  19. Locations: Each building is split into a number of rooms, each with its own fog level. Moving to a building will take one turn, and moving from room to room will take one turn, and searching a room will take one turn.
  20. Loot: Your chance to find good loot is based off your intelligence stat and other factors.
  21. Fog thickness: The thicker the fog, the harder it is to find good things. At full thickness, the fog will do one point of health damage per turn. Moving through a room with thick fog will do no damage because you can hold your breath.
  22.
  23. Combat and guarding: There is a chance you will be attacked while looting. There are three different groups that can attack you:
  24. Fog Cultists: Not all the people that wander into the fog die or vanish. Some of them went totally mad. These ponies are immune to the effects of the fog. They are mediocre in strength and don't normally have armor, but attack in large groups AND THE FOG WILL EEP INCREASING IN STRENGTH WHILE IN COMBAT
  25. Monsters: Summoned up out of the fog. While in combat with them, the fog does not increase in strength... Not much is known out about that...
  26. The army: Heavily armored and armed, the army will kill survivors on sight. Nobody is sure why. They wear gas masks that make them immune to choking from the fog, and pose a massive threat. Avoid if possible.
  27.
  28. Equipment: Equipment comes in different weights and will have different effects. Armor will increase your maximum health, etc.
  29. Light: Each bit of light kit will take up half an inventory slot, meaning that if you are wearing one bit of light equipment, it will weigh nothing.
  30. Medium: Medium kit takes up one inventory slot
  31. Heavy: Heavy kit will offer the biggest benefits, but takes up one inventory slot and LOWERS AGILITY by 1 point. It will not drop below 1 however.
  32.
  33. Fears: Even the bravest pony has them. Each pony will be assigned one of 8 different fears. If attacked by a monster matching your fear, you will have all your stats halved for the purposes of combat, including endurance which will reduce your maximum health.
  34. If you so wish, you can take a turn to "SNAP OUT OF IT". You will have a 50% of snapping out of you fear, although it will use up a turn.
  35. Even after snapping out of it, there is a small chance that you will panic, wasting a turn.
  36.
  37. If you are attacked by a monster and drop below 75% health, there is a small chance you will gain a fear of that monster type. This increases when your HP reaches 50%, 25%, and with a large chance if you reach deaths door.
  38. There are ways to get rid of fears, killing monsters related to your fear has a very small chance of doing so, and killing BOSS monsters has a large chance of purging your fear.
  39.
  40. Deaths Door:
  41. Once per mission, if your HP reaches zero, instead of being claimed by the fog, you will be put onto DEATH'S DOOR. In this state, you are unable to do anything. You will need to be taken back to the train, where you will then be out of action for a week, at which point you will return to normal, but lose two stat points in two randomly decided stats. IF YOU GO DOWN IN A ROOM WITH FULL FOG THICKNESS, IT IS GAME OVER.
  42. There are two ways to get you back to the train:
  43. High Intelligence characters can attempt to revive you. This will take up all their blocks of time and skip their turn. The fog will thicken each time this happens! The chance to revive you is based off their intelligence, and if it is successful, you will be brought back with two hit points and all your stats set to 1 to carry yourself back to the train. If the fog reaches maximum thickness while you are being revived, you will be claimed by it. Game over.
  44. High strength characters can CARRY you.
  45. Ponies are very heavy, meaning they take up 4 inventory slots. Remember however, that anything they are carrying, including equipment, and any equipment you are wearing, will still have weight, meaning you will most likely have to drop everything and strip them down!
  46.
  47. Anything else will be explained in game, but if you have any questions, send them to Hatter.
