History (Summary)
The End Game.

Ikkaku Ukitake is the Regent of Ardent while it is under siege from Gaiar Aetherius. An occultist since he was young, Ikkaku has faced down Archons many times and fought in many battles to protect the people of Ardent. The Regent has time and time again fought against chaos mages, demons, and necromancers, yet the forces of Gaiar and Crafthold grow even stronger.

With the loss of several members of Ardent, the end of the city grows more and more near. Ikkaku begins to evacuate the city and orders the fortification of Ardent to prepare one last battle against Aetherius before it possibly falls.


A city ablaze, or a city survives, the Regent of Ardent approaches the endgame of Gaiar’s invasion of Ardent.


Ability Development

Won. Capped foe. Cap 1.
A raid of Craftholm upon Ardent occurs, and Ikkaku faces off against Shiro Mayer, a defector of Ardent. The two are rather quiet through the fight, but Ikkaku fights to protect the innocent, and captures her, not yet decided about her fate.

In the fields south of Ardent, Ikkaku begins to build a tower in front of the Black Leviathan base. While doing this,  they are encountered by Saturno and Amoxtli. Turning to face the sinner, two more faces would soon arrive; that of Kayn and Tragedy. (Don’t actually remember when Kayn entered, he just sort of hung around the tower a bit silently.) Upon seeing Tragedy, Ikkaku readies his weapon, fighting by Kayn’s side against the duo. They are bested by the Archon and the sin, Ikkaku losing their leg as a result before fleeing, saying they would defeat the Archon one day.

Tragedy enters the city of Ardent unafraid, and Ikkaku, as one of the only people around at the time, finds the Archon. Separating her from the innocent people, Ikkaku leads north to the mountain ranges, but is followed. The Regent speaks with Tragedy, being declared the same, but does not engage, not wanting to bring innocents into the way of the Archon’s attack.

Public execution of Shiro, Calie, and Eleena (2/22-23)

Jail breaks happen several times, yet the Regent is around to catch one of them. The Accursed Eleena is fought when she attempts to break out of jail before hearing of another jailbreak. Knowing that things will continue to happen this way without a stern example, Ikkaku takes all three to the front of the Fortress. Ikkaku has sides plead their cases and has Shiro and Calie speak their last words before having them executed, despite some push for surviving. Elenna is soon also executed after she denies having an attempted cleansing, placing all accursed upon kill on sight.

Pasis, a criminal arrested for the destruction of Kogarashi, has their trial held. The two speak, but since Pasis did not technically commit treason, nor did his actions likely kill anyone, they are instead conscripted to the army for twenty years under the understanding that they will fight for the Fourfold in every conflict. In addition, his hands are severely branded.

Lost. Rolled 5 and 6.
Ikkaku encounters Tragedy while discovering what happened at the Black Leviathan tower. Everyone gives chase, but the only one who manages to catch up to the Archon is Ikkaku. Despite the war being soon, the Regent attempts to fight Tragedy one to one, getting utterly decimated, yet continues to swear they will one day defeat her. Despite low chances of winning, Ikkaku still tries to defeat Tragedy and end bloodshed the way they can.

Won. Somnus rolled cap, slain. Dulohan and Fool cap 0 both permed.
The first battle of the war occurs in the plans where the Fourfold meet Aetherius. The two sides wage and blood runs down, striking towards the forces that they meet. Ikkaku engages Somnus Illaron, an accursed (a race he has sworn he can not spare). The Regent succeeds, and prepares to send the accursed into the next life, but is interrupted by a child and a kaor. The group rages but once again Ikkaku manges to come out successful, wound both the interveners with rotting legs before resuming the end of Somnus.

Pretty casual heavy log but also has some serious moments
Ikkaku, after an unsuccessful raid, receives a letter from Lucan, making several demands in exchange for the life of a prisoner. A hard choice is made, deciding to make a permanent end to Somnus’ chances of returning, in exchange for the life of a soldier. Ikkaku would never barter or deal with those who are demons or worship them, no matter the high cost this carried.

 I would like to be able to use this ability for the battle on Friday. I want to be able to fight Zaruma if possible, and likely make some sort of valiant last stand. If Ikkaku earns the use of this ability after the fight would be up to admin’s decision and if denied, will reapp later.
