  2.
  3. Xomac Tepin says, "Hadwin."
  4.
  5.
  6. Hadwin asks, "Yes?"
  7.
  8. Xomac Tepin asks, "Wanna spar Chima?"
  9.
  10. Hadwin says, "Hm. I've been slacking on training for a bit, but I guess it's always interesting to see how far she's gone."
  11.
  12. Hadwin says, "Sure."
  13. You are now following Xomac Tepin
  14.
  15.
  16. Xomac Tepin says, "Chima. You and Hadwin go to the arena. I need to talk a bit of a walk."
  17.
  18. Chimalma says, "..Alright."
  19. You have stopped following Xomac Tepin.
  20.
  21.
  22. Chimalma asks, "..What do I do..with..it?"
  23.
  24. Xomac Tepin says, "-gives Chima a quick hug- Just.. sustain it. Use it."
  25.
  26. Chimalma asks, "Use it he says. As a what..thing to throw?"
  27.
  28. Xomac Tepin says, "-chuckles- I'll be back later Chima."
  29.
  30. Xomac Tepin says, "Hadwin. Hope you've been training lots! -waves and departs-"
  31.
  32. Chimalma clears any possible confusions Hadwin may have had from the preluding conversation, for her hand reaches into her hair, and almost as if it was waiting for it, an aethereal creature not larger than a fist hops onto the hand, using the arm for a circuit to run along it..and to dissapear back in her hair.
  33.
  34. Its movements fluid, yet unnatural, fairly hectic. Even if it was hard to catch a glimpse of details of it, the long bushy tail and size pointed toward it most likely being a squirrel.
  35.
  36. Chimalma merely shook her head and rolled her eyes.
  37.
  38. "..Whatever. Just stay there." she says, unclear whether toward Hadwin or the spirit, withdrawing her staff and twirling it between her fingers to find the center of balance, firmly gripping it upon finding such, her form lit ablaze with the golden flames.
  39. (Chimalma)
  40.
  41. Hadwin prepares himself. With Hadwin wielding his staff, his usual avian companion would stand chest out at the top of his staff, watching intently at the direction of Chimalma, yet its darkened eyes seems to stare directly at the ethereal rodent. As for the ezmaran, a familiar smug grin is up on his face, yet the keenest eyes would notice a much paler complexion than usual. “Haha!” He says before being cut off by a short cough. “Cute.” He comments.
  42.
  43. Planting his feet deeper into the dirt below, he would prepare to once again attempt a deeper connection with the elemental that rested within his familiar. Perhaps a much more controlled environment like a spar would be much safer than last time. “Alright then, just like last time.” His sickly complexion was not the only thing different as the air around him seems much more tense and stuffy. Twirling his staff, he exudes a weak puff of air that causes sand to fly off of his sleeves. “Shall we?”
  44. (Hadwin)
  45.
  46. Chimalma says, "Let's."
  47.
  48. The only thing shining brigher than Chimalmas flames, was her intense overconfidence.
  49.
  50. After they've exchanged first few blows, her expression twisted to an arrogant smirk, her movements slowing down, and even if her staff was still agressively flailed about to shower the field in her golden flames, the womans efforts certainly weren't at their fullest. In comparison to the horrors they encountered during the recent expedition, she simply couldn't stress herself as much as she used to in every spar, especialy if she ascertained her dominance right off the bat.
  51.
  52. Most if not all damage dealt to her almost immidietly rejuvenated, she finaly chose to knock him off of his feet by a compressed blast of wind!
  53.
  54.
  55. When she'd stand down to allow him to compose himself, the blueish aethereal squirrel peeked out from its makeshift home in her bush of a hairdo, it curiously peeked at him with its transparent, black pearls of eyes..seeming to have..slightly grown. That was one fat squirrel. And gone it was anew, hiding in her hair.
  56. (Chimalma)
  57.
  58. Commanding the same elements, he would show off a new understanding of his magic. Pulling out earthen prowess to attack it was still all too much for him. Yet despite the soon-to-be outcome, it seems like in his little own way, he has improved. Not enough to beat the fiery warrior, yet it seems like he was growing stronger. That is until he is quickly purged back by a much superior bust of wind.
  59.
  60. For the Nth time, the Ezmaran would be swept off his feet. What with the gap in experience that the two had, it was truly a mystery why he still goes up against a fight he knew he wouldn’t win. Propping himself to his feet, a pained smile would come up to his lips. Slight coughing would come out of his mouth as words would soon follow. “Yup. Still strong.” He commends. “I may not be one of the top dogs, but I still have fight in me. I’ve been wanting to try this again for a long time now. Let’s hope this works.”
  61.
  62. Quickly he begins to twirl his staff as he slams it right in-front of him. A resounding earth shake would come from the point of the staff to the ground as the bird on his staff would seem to move in an unnerving manner. With its brown wings spread out, it screeches a mighty caw as its eyes beams out a white light akin to a flashlight. A swirl of sand begins to rise up from the base of the staff is it would engulf majority of it. If one weren’t distracted enough by the sandy tornado, one would notice Hadwin’s surprised expression. As the tornado dies down, a small shadow flings upward from it. Brown wings spread out as it begins to flap, circling the arena as it lands and perches on the Ezmaran’s shoulder. It seems like the bird has finally left its roost. “Woah.” Hadwin was at a loss of words.
  63.
  64. Turning to Chimalma, his expression quickly changes from surprise, to confused, then back to surprised, and then a giddy smile. No other words leaves his lips yet he assumes battle position as the bird on his shoulder caws.
  65. (Hadwin)
  66.
  67. He was suprised, but so was Chimalma, the display proving rather unexpected for her from the fellow she had fought quite a few times already..and even if his staff and the avian upon it were far from her attention most of the time, it finaly caught it.
  68.
  69. Who also noticed the bird, was her spiritual companion, for with each caw, Chimalmas hair unsettingly shifted, no doubt instilling fear in the long deceased creature.
  70.
  71.
  72. But, displays aside, Chimalma didn't dissapoint, with her magic brutally destructive even in restrained combat, the woman agressive fresh out from the temple where presence of Izel still remained strong, infectious wrath somewhat chipping at her mind.
  73.
  74.
  75. As she stood triumphant, even if her overconfidence didn't fail to show, Chimalma commended the other,
  76.
  77. "You're really growing. I can feel the difference."
  78. (Chimalma)
  79.
  80. With the bird by his side, it would seem the quakes and earth shook with each of his step. His conjured earthquakes and waves of mud would seem much bigger than usual. With each attack, the Ezmaran would extend his hand as a resounding caw would trigger the spell.
  81.
  82. Despite finally having a glimpse of his familiar’s blessing, the battle was still one-sided. Still falling for her flames, the Ezmaran would clump down to the ground as the bird propels itself to the confined sky, flapping its wings as it circles around the two. Bits of sand would seem to sprinkle with each flap as an occasional caw would be puffed out from its beak.
  83.
  84. With his defeat, Hadwin would slowly push himself up, using his staff to stand up. It was weird seeing it without the bird. “Well, I hope I do it faster.” He would say as he coughs. His hands would start to hover over slight burns as his fingertips begin to shake. Almost as if time was reversing, the few small to medium burn marks would begin to seep away, almost as if it were being sucked off of his skin. “I still can’t come close to beating you. But mark my words, I will do it. One day.” His tone seems pressed on the last part of his statement.
  85.
  86. The bird that was currently flying above them would nose dive towards Hadwin as he stood up. A few feet away from the Ezmaran, the bird would take the form of a dust of smoke as it envelops the tip of his staff. Seconds later, the bird would return to its roost. It shook its head, almost as if it were disappointed as it confirms it with a caw.
  87. (Hadwin)
  88.
  89. Chimalma says, "I look forward to the day."
  90.
  91.
  92. Hadwin says, "So do it."
  93.
  94. Hadwin says, "But that familair of your's."
  95.
  96. Hadwin says, "It's interesting."
  97.
  98. Chimalma says, "..How so? It's..hiding."
  99.
  100. Chimalma says, "..I think."
  101.
  102. Hadwin says, "I've started looking into all things spirit as of late."
  103.
  104. Hadwin says, "It's just... It looks ethereal."
  105.
  106. Hadwin asks, "Has this always been with you?"
  107.
  108. Chimalma says, "It is a spirit I've...uh. Yanked out from the spirit world. Not long ago, actualy."
  109.
  110. Chimalma says, "I don't hecking know, truth be told."
  111.
  112. Chimalma says, "Xomac did not share much on the theory, just the practice."
  113.
  114. Hadwin says, "Huh. Did you do it with Xomac? I've seen him with one like this."
  115.
  116. Chimalma says, "Yeah."
  117.
  118. Hadwin says, "Hm. I may have to talk to him then."
  119.
  120. Chimalma says, "Might be wise. "
  121.
  122. Chimalma says, "But no hoarding him before bedtime. I need him not tired."
  123.
  124. Chimalma says, "--For treatment of his eye."
  125.
  126. Hadwin says, "Sure thing."
  127. Hadwin fingerguns.
  128. (Hadwin)
  129.
  130.
  131. Hadwin says, "But nevertheless, good spar. Lot's of fun."
  132.
  133. Chimalma says, "..Yeah."
  134.
  135. Hadwin says, "If you see Xomac before me, tell him I need to speak with him."
  136.
  137. Chimalma says, "I'll be sure to."
  138.
  139. Hadwin says, "Thank you kindly. Let's do this again sometime."
  140.
  141. Hadwin says, "When I'm better."
  142.
  143. Chimalma says, "Anytime."
  144.
  145. Chimalma says, "I'm no longer..hm."
  146.
  147. Chimalma says, "Responsible for pretty much anything."
  148.
  149. Hadwin asks, "Huh?"
  150.
  151. Chimalma says, "Zahhual made it clear that me tending to affairs she was too busy to deal with will not pass anymore."
  152.
  153. Hadwin says, "I mean she is Warchief. Don't you have a title? I assume you do."
  154.
  155. Chimalma says, "I am not even a warrior."
  156.
  157. Hadwin says, "That's... weird."
  158.
  159. Chimalma says, "..Tell me about it."
  160.
  161. Hadwin asks, "And what did Xomac have to say about it?"
  162.
  163. Chimalma says, "I didn't really bring it to his attention."
  164.
  165. Chimalma says, "I don't care, really. If my mind is not desired, the tribe'll just have my body."
  166. You have 1 hour, 9 minutes left until your next check. You currently do not qualify for an RPP reward in the upcoming check.
  167.
  168.
  169. Hadwin says, "A mind shouldn't be left like that."
  170.
  171. Chimalma says, "My mind'll be occupying itself with my own growth, rather than growth of Cruxati."
  172.
  173. Hadwin says, "Why not just bring it up once? If he still believes nothing of it, then..."
  174.
  175. Chimalma says, "I would not trouble him. I already steal half of his bed, and require training of him."
  176.
  177. Hadwin says, "Well if you're sure..."
  178.
  179. Chimalma says, "It's not going to be necesary as much, too. Karma has departed."
  180.
  181. Chimalma says, "Most issues I helped mend stemmed from his greed. "
  182. Hadwin coughs as the statement has him a bit downed.
  183. (Hadwin)
  184.
  185. Chimalma lightly recoiled, then defensively waved hand infront of herself.
  186.
  187. "..No. No. I must stop saying things like these. He is not around to contest my claims..and those that remain either haven't a clue, or are just..well. Valmasians. Or Jiangs. Sorry."
  188. (Chimalma)
  189.
  190. Hadwin remains silent for a few second before shooting a forced bubbly smile. "No no, it's fine. It's fine."
  191. (Hadwin)
  192.
  193.
  194. Hadwin says, "Yes, well I do hope you get the respect you deserve. I'd presonally be disappointed if you don't."
  195.
  196. Hadwin says, "One person doesn't run the tribe, they only lead the tribe's collective ideals."
  197.
  198. Chimalma says, "Time will show if my council and actions were valued."
  199.
  200. Chimalma says, "Their absence will either make them miss it, or..show that they really weren't needed."
  201.
  202. Hadwin says, "Very well."
  203.
  204. Chimalma says, "I'll be on my way now."
  205.
  206. Hadwin says, "Ditto."
  207.
  208. Hadwin says, "May the spirits guide."
  209.
  210. Chimalma says, "..Mmm."
  211.
  212. Chimalma says, "..May the spirits stop hiding in my hair."
