- • Patiently run in and out to fake out approaches, at about roll distance
- • Standard Bait and Punish: As opponent approaches, dash further backwards to outspace their attack and punish them
- • Jumping Bait and Punish: Use grounded movement and jump as your opponent uses a grounded option to attack and hit them with an aerial from above
- • Reverse Bait and Punish: Playing defensive, then moving forward to attack as your opponent approaches (Use against opponents who are rushing you down)
- • Use more jump 'bait and punish' against characters with good grounded tools e.g. vs Luigi's grab at low %, Bowser, Snake
- • Use more standard 'bait and punish' against characters with good juggling/anti-air e.g. vs Luigi's up smash at high %, Lucina, Zero Suit Samus
