  1. >Star Wars: Jedi Academy
  2.
  3. >fuck knows how long ongoing, maybe 75 issues
  4.
  5. >takes place 10 years after JM
  6.
  7. >I'm using Legacy characters from this point on except for the main three (Cade and his buddies)
  8.
  9. >Kyle took two apprentices, Jad Korr, a Kel Dor male who is extremely proficient in lightsaber combat, particularly Jar'Kai, and Kaizen Brood, a Zabrak male who is the progeny of two Force sensitives, and therefore very strong with the Force, although not as proficient in lightsaber combat
  10.
  11. >The two students complement each other and grew up as brothers
  12.
  13. >Story starts out in a ship out of control in space, Kyle had taken a bunch of students for a fun fight against pirates, but everything spiraled out of control
  14.
  15. >Among the students are Alora Tandulla, a female Twi'lek, Rosh Penin, a male human, Shado Vao, a male Twi'lek, Freeda, a female Rodian, and Kyra Kraken, a female human (I'm actually not sure what the point of this last character is since she doesn't seem to appear in the rest of my notes but whatever, she may die in the crash or something)
  16.
  17. >The ship crash-lands in an unknown planet, Kyle soon recognizes it as Dromund Kaas
  18.
  19. >The group splits up trying to find a way to contact the Republic or Luke's Academy so they can come pick them up
  20.
  21. >Kaizen comes across a Devaronian girl called Malincha who is strong in the Dark Side of the Force, they fight and Kaizen decides to spare her and capture her instead
  22.
  23. >Kaizen shows the girl to the rest and Kyle asks her who taught her to use the Force, she says it was the new Dark Lady of the Sith, Krayt
  24.
  25. >Kyle is shocked to learn this since Luke was supposed to have ended the threat of the Sith
  26.
  27. >Kaizen and Malincha start to bond when she's left in his care
  28.
  29. >The group also comes across an old Magna Guard wielding a saberstaff from one of the old Jedi Temple guards and wearing some ragtag Jedi robes, he claims to be an old Jedi Master called Echuu Shen-Jon trapped in the body of the droid
  30.
  31. >Obviously no one believes him but he tags along anyway
  32.
  33. >Krayt isn't happy to find this out and orders her village, where her adoptive parents live, to be razed to the ground
  34.
  35. >Malincha and the rest are too late to help, but Kyle manages to use the Force to help bring her parents back from the brink of death just enough for them to say goodbye to their daughter, this is Malincha's first experience with the Light Side
  36.
  37. >Eventually they come across Krayt, who is revealed to be Tavion, now a cyborg after Kyle crushed her windpipe, and the rest of her wannabe Sith: Carnage, an albino male Wookiee, and Torment, a male Iktotchi
  38.
  39. >Jad and Kaizen fight Krayt but end up being schooled, Jad gets picked up by the Force and thrown around the room while Kaizen suffers several non-fatal wounds when he tries to fight Krayt
  40.
  41. >Kyle rescues his students and brings the whole place down on Krayt, managing to escape
  42.
  43. >Kyle and the Padawans find a ship and use it to escape, Malincha decides to go with them and bids farewell to her adoptive parents at their graves
  44.
  45. >ONE YEAR LATER
  46.
  47. >Jad and Kaizen are now Jedi Knights and Malincha is an student at the Academy, she studies under K’Kruhk, an ancient Jedi Master who survived Order 66
  48.
  49. >Rosh and Alora are good friends of them and they've become known as the Padawan Pack
  50.
  51. >In this version of the story, Rosh is actually competent, to a ridiculous degree actually, he's hot shit and he knows it. He's also a total bro
  52.
  53. >Alora secretly has a crush on Rosh and has a friendly rivalry with Jad since she's also good at Jar'Kai
  54.
  55. >"Echuu" hangs around the Academy, imparting wisdom on whoever will listen to him and acting as a training dummy (which he finds very disrespectful)
  56.
  57. >Shado and Freeda are mostly there
  58.
  59. >Kyle has spent years looking into Krayt's wannabe Sith cult, but has come empty handed, until he finds a lead on Tatooine
  60.
  61. >The Padawan Pack goes in a mission to Tatooine to investigate a similar lead, and they come across a neutral Force user called A'sharadda Hett, a human girl raised by Tusken Raiders. She doesn't believe in the Jedi doctrines nor does she believe in the Dark Side's excesses, but she decides to tag along with the Padawan Pack because she's bored and interested on what life for the Jedi is truly like
  62.
  63. >The Pack finds a bunch of Dark Side cultists and interrogate them once they defeat them, but they kill themselves with poison instead
  64.
  65. >if you can't tell already this is where the story starts to fall apart because I was mostly working off bullet points and this is all largely unfinished
  66.
  67. >basically here there were supposed to be a bunch of adventures and investigations as the Pack (plus A'Sharadda and Echuu) bond, where they discover the cult is siphoning strong Force energies for unknown reasons, they go to Saga important places like Naboo, Coruscant, Dagobah, etc.
  68.
  69. >there was also a (human) bounty hunter and her adoptive Trandoshan sister but the cast was becoming way too bloated at this point so I dropped them
  70.
  71. >anyway, they end up in Hoth
  72.
  73. >Kaizen and Malincha are separated from the rest and end up almost freezing to death in a cave, where they share their first kiss
  74.
  75. >Meanwhile the rest face Krayt's posse and manage to fight them off
  76.
  77. >They find Kaizen and Malincha and rescue them
  78.
  79. >eventually they go to the ruins of Darth Vader's castle in Mustafar
  80.
  81. >this is the end of act 2, so naturally things go south
  82.
  83. >Rosh gets his arm cut off by Carnage and then is beaten to death with it, Mortal Kombat style. Alora was wounded so she can only watch in horror
  84.
  85. >Kaizen sacrifices himself for the rest to escape and apparently dies
  86.
  87. >Everyone, especially Kyle, Alora and Malincha, are left seriously emotionally scarred by the experience
  88.
  89. >turns out Kaizen didn't die but was captured by Krayt and now they're going to try to mindbreak him and turn him to the Dark Side
  90.
  91. >SEVERAL MONTHS LATER
  92.
  93. >Alora has become a rogue Jedi, going around dispensing justice outside of the Order's jurisdiction
  94.
  95. >Jad has become a master of all forms of lightsaber combat, and Malincha is well on her way to becoming a Jedi Knight despite her heartache
  96.
  97. >Echuu and A'Sharadda keeps having riveting debates about the nature of the Force
  98.
  99. >eventually Jad and Malincha come across a fully turned Kaizen, who now looks like a spoopy skeleton version of Darth Maul thanks to his new tattoos (Kaizen is really pale)
  100.
  101. >Malincha manages to break Kaizen's conditioning and they take him back to the academy
  102.
  103. >yadda yadda yadda, a bunch of other largely underdeveloped stuff happens, Alora strays further from the Light, eventually we end up at the end game, at Moraband, or as it is referred to in Dark Side cultist intel, its old name of Korriban
  104.
  105. >turns out the Sith LARPers plan to bring back the Sith by resurrecting an old Sith lord known as Darth Magnos, aka Marka Ragnos the Unchained
  106.
  107. >his tomb rests in the Valley of the Sith
  108.
  109. >There's three major fight scenes here: Kaizen and Malincha versus Carnage, Kyle versus Krayt, and Jad versus Alora, who has gone fully Dark Side
  110.
  111. >also a bunch of Jedi fighting a bunch of Dark Side cultists
  112.
  113. >Kaizen and Malincha manage to take down Carnage (there's a cool scene here where Carnage is strangling Malincha while he zaps Kaizen with lightning but Kaizen manages to tap into the Light Side and fight through the lightning, force pushing away Carnage and sending him flying into a ruin covered in his own lightning)
  114.
  115. >Kyle kills Krayt by cutting her head off, not much to say here other than Echuu sacrifices himself to blow up a McGuffin
  116.
  117. >Jad and Alora have my favorite fight scene, where they fight in a flooding Valley of the Sith after Alora calls upon Magnos' spirit and then crushes it so she can use his power against Jad, there's a bunch of highlights like her throwing a bunch of rubble towards Jad and him using force speed to jump on top of them or cut them to pieces, kind of like the Yoda/Sidious fight scene with the Senate seats
  118.
  119. >Alora eventually makes Jad tap into the Dark Side at a time all of friends were losing and he accidentally cuts her arms off
  120.
  121. >Jad apologizes and asks Alora to come back with him but the whole place floods before she can answer
  122.
  123. >The Jedi eventually find Jad and nurse him back to health, Alora's body is nowhere to be found and neither is Carnage's
  124.
  125. >Alora escaped on her own and used the Force to steal a ship
  126.
  127. >She gets some new cybernetic arms while Jad rests in a bacta tank
  128.
  129. >Alora demands to be called Talon from now on as she swears she'll destroy the Order that failed her
  130.
  131. >Jad eventually recovers and joins his two friends
  132.
  133. >A'Sharadda decides to leave the Academy and keep exploring the other ways of the Force, teasing that she may even join the Dark Side at some point "just for science's sake"
  134.
  135. >Final scene is Kyle and his two former students, with him saying that come what may, he's never been prouder of them
  136.
  137. >THE END
