- Make sure you know the password for the domain user 'setup', set on the server.
- 0. Start CC3 Server
- 1. Install XP Pro in a VM
- 2. Log in as Administrator [at login, ctrl+alt+del twice and then log in as Administrator] on the XP VM, set its password to 'rm', make sure the C drive has no label, and make sure that it can access the CC3 server VM over the network
- 3. On CC3 server, drag D:\rmnetwork\Server\Utilities\RM Commissioning Utilities\v1.75.0.0\RM Commissioning Utilies.msi out of VM, then back into XP Pro
- 4. Install that package, then take a snapshot of the VM
- 5. run C:\RM\Install\SmartClient.bat [if this goes wrong, restore the snapshot]
- 6. When it reboots, fill in the information:
- Domain NetBIOS: CC3
- Domain UPX: CC3.local
- Setup username: setup
- Setup password: whatever you set it to in the Management Console on the server
- Location: CC3/Main Site
- 7. Wait until the XP Pro VM gets to 'Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to log on'.
- 8. Log into the domain as setup
- 9. Go to My Network Places > Entire Network > CC3 > CC3-DC01 > rmpackages and open Search [Ctrl+E] and search for *
- 10. Run all the exes and MSIs, running RM Logon Provider.msi last as that reboots the machine
- 11. Try logging into the VM as setup - it should work, try Tutor 3 on the server as well
