  5. [22:54] <Masaru> concerning Hoxjn testing out the alleged ability to mitigate on not-monk as a possiblity for him being there. mostly because I can't think of any other reason for being there and 'I just happened to be there' seems like a cop-out

  7. [22:54] <Masaru> it would go well with the part that every post-Hojxn nobody was pseudo-engineered, so to speak
  8. [22:55] <Atomsk> I think, this comes at a point in his life when he is quite old, Mitzi has possibly left/cheating on him, and he has insane resentment towards everyone and everything. And for some unexplainable reason he sticks to life.
  9. [23:00] <Masaru> technically no reason to actually seek him out though. I'm thinking that Hojxn would have come across him by accident. Or maybe he was pulling shenanigans in a local area and Monk decided to take shots

  17. [23:03] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "And what do you plan to do about it?" As the poor guy hacks it up. He idly stands unamused.

  20. [23:04] <Masaru> * Hojxn doesn't have it in him to laugh. I wonder why.
  21. [23:04] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "..Cute." He starts walking around him, "I don't have time for this."
  22. [23:05] <Atomsk> <Monk> seems to barely move as Hojxn gets tripped by a cane, which is then swung around for a crack to his back.
  23. [23:05] <Atomsk> <Monk> skips away somewhat sprightly. "Don't underestimate old-timers, son."
  24. [23:06] <Masaru> * Hojxn humors himself and takes it. It is just an old man. He sits up, looking bored. "Lame."

  26. [23:06] <Atomsk> <Monk> "You're where I want you."
  27. [23:07] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "Really?"
  28. [23:07] <Atomsk> <Monk> pulls out a roll of duct tape, and begins pulling strips off of it. "Yep."
  29. [23:09] <Atomsk> <Monk> "This here tape will see to it."
  30. [23:09] <Masaru> * Hojxn looks at his watch. he's ahead of schedule anyway.
  31. [23:10] <Atomsk> <DM> The tape between his fingers turns into knives.
  32. [23:10] <Atomsk> <DM> ...Interesting
  33. [23:11] <Atomsk> <Monk> "I'll show you what an old man can do." He flings the knives...past Hojxn.
  34. [23:12] <Atomsk> <DM> How utterly patheti-

  36. [23:12] <Atomsk> <DM> ...your cheek is cut.
  37. [23:12] <Atomsk> <DM> ...How did he do that?
  38. [23:13] <Masaru> * Hojxn tilts his head. "What do intend to do, old man, tie me up and bore me to de-" The knife goes back. He tilts his head the other way.
  39. [23:13] <Atomsk> <Monk> smirks. "Get it yet? You understand?" He chuckles, which turns into a cough. "You're..." *cough-cough* "...not the only one with powers."
  40. [23:14] <Atomsk> <Monk> "Let's level the field a bit..." He pulls out a small syringe, which he sticks into his neck. He slowly injects it into himself. "...Mmm." He tosses the syringe aside. "Morphine. Now I can move properly...and fight to the last of my will!" He dashes at Hojxn.
  41. [23:15] <Atomsk> <DM> Damn fast for an old man. But you are easily faster.
  42. [23:17] <Masaru> * Hojxn lets him get up in there...he feigns shock and surprise up until he gets up in there until Monk actually gets there and Hoxjn just lurches to his feet and sends Monk a snapkick.
  43. [23:17] <Masaru> (damn with the repeating myself lately)
  44. [23:21] <Atomsk> <DM> Your kick is fast, hard an- !
  45. [23:21] <Atomsk> <DM> He somehow blocks at the last minute with his cane.
  46. [23:21] <Atomsk> <Monk> "Don't think I'm stupid!"
  47. [23:21] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "That is most unfortunate."
  48. [23:22] <Atomsk> <DM> The knives make a return flight and a couple stick into your shoulders.
  49. [23:23] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "Even moreso now."
  50. [23:23] <Atomsk> <Monk> "Really?"
  51. [23:24] <Masaru> * Hojxn nods. He reaches back and rips the knives out of his back and holds them in his hand.
  52. [23:24] <Atomsk> <Monk> quickly backs off of him. "Those are worthless without my guidance."
  53. [23:25] <Masaru> * Hojxn unfolds the tape. Naturally, it's just tape for him, so it unfolds easily. "This reminds me..of a show I saw once when I was a child.."
  54. [23:27] <Atomsk> <Monk> --- "And you remind me of a shitty knockoff of a popular videogame"
  55. [23:28] <Masaru> * Hojxn refolds the tape up into a singular piece. It looks like a shitty super super short blade, like some two year old was dicking with the tape.
  56. [23:29] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "Is this how you do it?" Now he's just being a mocking little fuck.
  57. [23:30] <Atomsk> <Monk> "Cute."
  58. [23:30] <Atomsk> <Monk> "I see I'm gonna have to stop being a pussy about this."
  59. [23:30] <Masaru> * Hojxn crumples up the tape in his hand.
  60. [23:30] <Atomsk> <Monk> drops his cane...and pulls out his sword.
  61. [23:31] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "Oh, look."
  62. [23:33] <Atomsk> <Monk> "Get ready to dance, fucker." He lunges at him, making skilled swipes and feints. It's almost as if he knows the weapon is not meant for attacking, but he's using it with such skill it's uncanny.
  63. [23:35] <Masaru> * Hojxn does what the old man tells him to do-dance! He uses his inhuman reflexes to more or less dance around any less than par blow coming at him; anything on average results on damage to his clothes. However, one of the blows comes close right for hi-

  65. [23:36] <Masaru> * Hojxn lunges up his hand with the crumpled tape, which has reformed into the super short blade, but it no longer looks like epic shite. nor is it whimsical and flimsy, what the fuc..
  66. [23:36] <Masaru> * Hojxn makes for the block. "Or do you?"
  67. [23:37] <Atomsk> <Monk> goes pale. "My...MY TAPE..." Then he turns beet fucking red. "YOU BASTARD, I'LL KILL YO-"

  69. [23:38] <Atomsk> <Monk> looks confused at first. He opens his mouth to speak...and only blood pours out. His neck has been slit.
  70. [23:38] <Atomsk> <Monk> "...ah..." He falls over, grabbing at his sword, trying to reach it.
  71. [23:39] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "I told you it was unfortunate."
  72. [23:39] <Atomsk> <Monk> "Ah..." *cough-splat* "Urk..."

  74. [23:40] <Masaru> <GM> It's right there...yeah..your fingertips are just on it, it's in your re--
  75. [23:40] <Masaru> * Hojxn picks up the sword and examines it.
  76. [23:40] <Atomsk> <DM> It seems to be made of some sort of large mammal bone. Its edge is covered in duct tape, which strangely gives it a sharp feel to it.
  77. [23:41] <Atomsk> <Monk> "Gurk...ffff..." He swallows. "ffffffuuuuk...u."
  78. [23:42] <Atomsk> <DM> He seems to also have some sort of...shotgun on his back. It may be worth looking at.
  79. [23:42] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "Do you mind? I'm busy." He pushes the old man over with his foot.
  80. [23:44] <Atomsk> <DM> ...From looks, it seems like a piece of junk, but...you can feel some of the old man's energy tied into it. There's something special about it.
  81. [23:44] <Masaru> * Hojxn tilts his head.
  82. [23:45] <Masaru> * Hojxn flips Monk back over and takes the tape blade..he rips a piece off of it and puts it over his neck, "Enough with the gargles. It annoys me."
  83. [23:46] <Atomsk> <Monk> coughs and stares at him. Pure hatred is in his eyes. Nothing more or less.
  84. [23:47] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "I've seen this look before. Huh. You should be dead by now. What ailes you, old man?"
  85. [23:47] <Atomsk> <Monk> beckons him closer.
  86. [23:48] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "You don't intend to play the spit cliche, do you?"

  88. [23:49] <Atomsk> <Monk> shakes his head and points to his chest.
  89. [23:50] <Masaru> * Hojxn kneels down and inspects him.

  92. [23:50] <Atomsk> <Monk> "...s-moke."
  93. [23:51] <Masaru> * Hojxn reaches into his pocket.

  97. [23:52] <Atomsk> <Monk> swallows.
  98. [23:54] <Atomsk> <Monk> reaches into another pocket shakily and pulls out a small paper tube. He snaps it in half and sniffs it under his nose. His shaking stops...he's still bleeding, though. He's going to be dead in a minute...
  99. [23:56] <Masaru> * Hojxn humors him and puts one of the smokes in his mouth.
  100. [23:56] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "You are not long..yet you are one of means few and far between on this lowly world.."

  102. [23:57] <Masaru> * John snaps his fingers and produces a few sparks. He uses them to produce a weak flame for light-up.
  103. [23:57] <Atomsk> <Monk> inhales...some smoke comes out of his neck wound. He doesn't seem to mind much.
  104. [23:58] <Atomsk> <Monk> "...Wish...I had...more time." His eyes glaze over, and the cigarette falls from his mouth.
  105. [00:00] <Masaru> * Hojxn puts his hand on his chest. "This body is too worn, weakened by your pathetic life to operate further...Might as well practice the fruit of my studies." Super awesome hand glowy trick!

  107. [00:01] <Atomsk> <DM> The area that he takes up decreases...he gets smaller...smaller...when you are finished...he is much like a child, no more than 10 years old.

  109. [00:02] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "...That. Was unexpected."
  110. [00:03] <Atomsk> <DM> And he wakes up.

  112. [00:03] <Masaru> * Hojxn sighs. He did not sign up for this.

  122. [00:14] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "You. Young one. Come along. Perhaps we can work something out."

  125. [00:17] <Masaru> <Hojxn> "Mhmm. But first~...I have work to do. Let us find out if you can learn the ropes..."
