  1. Pokemon Chesslocke
  2.
  3. When a PokΓ©mon faints, it is dead and you cannot use it. You must either release it or store it permanently in a "dead" box.
  4. Nickname every pokemon
  5. Shiny Clause
  6. Duplication Clause-You are allowed 3 more tries after the first to obtain a new pokemon, otherwise you are banned from catching on that route
  7. Gift Clause-all gifts allowed including eggs
  8. Starter pokemon based on last number of trainer ID:
  9. 1-3=Grass
  10. 4-6=Fire
  11. 7-9=Water
  12. 0=My Choice
  13. Setting battle style to "set"
  14. Do not start nuzlocke until you get pokeballs
  15. Level limit-only allowed 3 levels above the next gym's highest level (EX=First gym's highest level is 15, therefore only allowed to have pokemon up to 18)
  16. You are allowed to catch every encounter you get (not including legendaries), however you can only have 16 pokemon be assigned roles.
  17. For example, you catch 8 pokemon, but you do not want to use two pokemon. You can put those aside until you run into 2 others you want to use. It allows for more variety and more options later on.
  18. However, you have to pick these 16 by your 21st encounter in terms of routes (5 freebees basically).
  19. Once these 16 are dead, or your king dies, your nuzlocke is OVER.
  20. Throughout the entire run, you may only have one King, one Queen, two Bishops, two Knights, two Rooks, and eight Pawns.
  21. Each Pokemon is given a role before being able to battle, not the instant they are caught. If you catch a Pokemon and want to make it a pawn, but it has more than one attacking move, then you must wait until you get to the area with the move deleter (Lilycove City in RSE).
  22.
  23. King -Your starter must be the King. The King must always be in your party.
  24. If the King dies, it's game over.
  25. To pick the king, as an option instead of just choosing the best, you can pick based off of your trainer ID. 1-3=Grass, 4-6=fire, 7-9=water, and 0 is your choice.
  26.
  27. Queen -Only female Pokemon may be the Queen.
  28. The Queen must be in the same egg group as the King.
  29. The Queen must be the same level as the king before fighting the next gym. For example, if you have
  30.
  31. Bishop -May only have two damaging moves at any time and only one move can inflict stat effects or lower base stats of the enemy Pokemon.
  32.
  33. Knight -May not use moves which have a base power greater than 70 (Before STAB).
  34.
  35. Rook -May not use damaging moves that also inflict stats effects on the enemy.
  36. They may not also use moves that lower stats of the enemy Pokemon (raising own stats is perfectly fine)
  37. They may use non-damaging moves, however. (For example: A Rook can have Tackle because the effect doesn't penalize the enemy, and it can have Spore, because it doesn't do damage, but not Ember, because it does damage and has a negative effect on the enemy.)
  38.
  39. Pawn -May only be a Pokemon that has stats of maximum 450 altogether, must be first form and cannot be evolved. It may only have one attacking move, and that must be lower than 80 base power (Before STAB).
  40. If a pawn wins a major battle alone (rival, gym leader, villainous team admin), it may upgrade to a rook, knight, bishop or queen.
  41. The pawn being upgraded can be counted as an additional "rook, knight, or bishop" but not a queen unless the queen is dead
