  1.
  2. [19:39] This was the second Sabbath that she had ever led, and as such, any lingering nervousness had evaporated. She proudly and confidently walked up the steps, stood before the crowd, and took out the offering cup, beginning the same chant as last time. After all, why change what works?
  3.
  4. "I invoke thee, Lord of Helheim."
  5.
  6. "Hear me, and make all spirits subject unto me, so that every spirit of the firmament and of the ether, upon the earth and under the earth, on dry land and in the water: of whirling air, and of rushing fire, and every spell and scourge of God may be obedient unto me!"
  7.
  8. "I invoke thee, the terrible and invisible god, who dwells in the void place of the spirit!"
  9.
  10. Lemuria sliced her hand, dripped some blood into her cup, and a glowing black pentagram formed under her.
  11.
  12. "We are those who utter thine voice in service of thine desires! To shower the world in fear, and make the rivers run red with blood!"
  13.
  14. With every word she spoke, the pentagram under her grew, and the light it shone grew ever-darker, ever more vile. A mist filled the pentagram, but didn't leave it, localizing entirely within the ritual zone.
  15.
  16. "And thus, we offer ourselves unto you."
  17.
  18. And with that, Lemuria took several steps down the stairs, the mist stained blood red. A portal to Helheim tore itself open, growing ever-stronger with time, and ever-larger with every offering. Dark spirits, both visible and invisible, flew from the portal, encircling everyone present. There was no harm inflicted upon anyone here from them, but those who were not used to the presence of dark spirits would likely find them unsettling at first, but the moment it became clear just who was in control here, that unsettling feeling would likely fade away; Lemuria would not let them hurt anyone.
  19.
  20. Especially the young ones.
  21.
  22. She began passing the cup around, allowing every witch present to offer their blood. And any non-witch present could, too, should they desire.
  23. (Lemuria Augustus)
  24. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  25.
  26. [19:43] This was her first Sabbath unmasked, having only came to two of these before. Without asking, or hesitating, they come to stand behind Lemuria.. Waiting as the ritual was invoked.
  27.
  28. When the vessel reached her a shadow slashed across her palm, her blood dribbling into the cup. "It feels oddly different without the mask."
  29.
  30. Passing the cup along, the faint visage of Kirai Kurokaiyo lurking over her shoulder were anyone to pay attention and differentiate it from the other Spirits present.
  31. (Alyssa Kurokaiyo)
  32. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  33.
  34. [19:43] The young witch wasn't eager to do the Sabbath, not becaue of the fact that she was angry, or irritated. No, she was... saddened at the past happenings. Withdrawing that old knife, sharp enough to draw blood and nothing else, she closed her eyes.
  35.
  36. A dull throb in her mind, she thought back on everything that happened to her.
  37.
  38. "Dark Lord, is this what betrayal is like?" She asked, calmly,"I lost someone important, to another person I trusted... Is this what it's like to be hated?" She lifted the knife towards her palm.
  39.
  40. "I hate it, but I guess hate is as good of an emotion to power my magic as any... Dark Lord? Thank you for being with us, even if only in vague spirit. I appreciate... what you've done, all you've done. I appreciate- that you've given me this chance."
  41.
  42. Opening her eyes, she pressed the knife to her skin- letting the blood bubble to the surface. Spilling some drops into thecup, she then passed it on. and tucked the knife away.
  43.
  44. "I only hope this chance... will be enough to bring me happiness."
  45.
  46. Though she spoke aloud? She spoke quietly, as though expecting the Dark Lord to have heard her despite it being nothing but rambling.
  47. (Momo)
  48. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  49.
  50. [19:44] Tonashi as always would consider the words of what Lemuria said to him. Though he still needed more training. He would slice his arm with his claw and then allow the blood to pour into the cup. "Thank you Dark Lord for the blessing you stow upon me." He say as he would then easily wrap up the area. Tonashi would then close his eyes as he would then feel the spirits all gathered.
  51.
  52. Lemuria was going to get better and better from this point on. He could see it.
  53. (Tonashi Botcher)
  54. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  55.
  56. [19:46] Another Sabbath, another occasion to harvest some essence! Lavinia was certainly excited at the prospect of this Witchcraft Christmas, so eagerly listening to her teacher utter the ceremonial callings to the dark lord and the malevolent spirits that joined them.
  57.
  58. The dragon grinned at the advent of such creatures walking among the participants of the sabbath. They came to mingle, but nothing would get past the rust-covered tail of the dark reptile.
  59.
  60. Said tail would rise as it was Lavinia's turn to make an offering. The mangled stump of the original tail would undergo stress after the fresh surgery it underwent, causing blood to flow through the metal appendage right to the jagged tip^. From there, the offering was made, one very intimate.
  61.
  62. "For you, 'n' only you."
  63.
  64. She whispered, before passing on the chalice. Clinks and clangs still so very loud coming from her recently upgraded tail.
  65. (Lavinia Walters)
  66. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  67.
  68. [19:46] As Lemuria began, Alita already had her tiny ornate dagger readied. It was quick to draw across her palm as she grinned.
  69.
  70. "I invoke thee, Lord of Helheim." she began, accompanying Lemuria in her chant.
  71.
  72. "Hear me and make all spirits subject unto me, so that every spirit of the firmament and of the ether, upon the earth and under the earth, on dry land and in the water: of whirling air, and of rushing fire, and every spell and scourge of God may be obedient unto me.
  73.
  74. I invoke thee, the terrible, and invisible god, who dwells in the void place of the spirit!"
  75.
  76. Blood began to trickle down into the chalice that Lemuria held before letting it move onto the next offerer.
  77.
  78. "We offer ourselves unto you."
  79.
  80. Alita for once, was actually trying to be a bit more helpful, and less silent than she'd been in the past, perhaps that's due to the rise in her wife's status.
  81.
  82. After her offering had been made, the occultic aura roared around Alita with potent ferocity, yet a calm demeaner fixed upon her face. She was always at home around Lemuria, around Alyssa, and around the spirits, two within the crowd drew Alita's eyes though, her children, she was curious to see their part in the sabbath.
  83. (Alita Tym)
  84. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  85.
  86. [19:46] This would be the second time Grendel is present at the Sabbath. By now, even the dark spirits that are being brought in from the portal don't seem to make him feel at unease. He's gotten used to the whole process.
  87.
  88. Once the cup reaches Grendel, he'll once more take his axe, and give himself a small, shallow cut by the palm with his weapon's blade. Putting the bleeding hand over the cap, he'll then squeeze tight, bloodletting his blood into it.
  89. (Grendel Beo)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [19:48] The thin veil between their reality and the dark and gnashing place known as the underworld was torn asunder. A miasma of horrific ichor oozed from the wound in time and space, slithering and moving about through the air like a thing alive. She followed intensely with her golden eyes; she felt her heart beating hard, its palpitations rapid and unpredictable.
  93.
  94. She turned her head to the left and the right, and then looked forward and realized she was in the midst of witches. Her ignorance of what their purpose was faded. They were servants of the dark; they worked according to the purpose of all things evil. They were demon's in their own rite.
  95.
  96. The silhouettes of people scattered about them, running to and fro. In a strange twist of fate her mind drifted to her family, she saw her parents there. Their outlines appeared before her, ghostly apparitions of their former selves, and her mouth fell agape. She wanted to scream and cry it, but she clenched her fist. She lowered her head and focused on her feet. They were all to real, but she hoped that she could will them away. This was not real--perhaps she was being tested?
  97.
  98. A warm tear danced down her face, and she realized she was crying. As the cup came to her, she hastily offered her own blood--what good was it? This was the blood that belonged to a weak, untested and unproven student. Could her blood even be considered a resource at this stage? She hoped that, in some form, this would help her with her journey.
  99.
  100. With her eyes on the ground, she tried to ignore the spirits as much as possible; she wanted to run away, but with a singular look at those around her she could tell that it would be an insult to do so. This was important to them; their way of life was on display this night, and the entire continent was the stage.
  101. (Seren)
  102. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  103.
  104. [19:50] Heidi stood there with a warm smile, her eyes burning with heightened vigour! She loved the Sabbaths; this was her second official sabbath and the first had been a very exciting, enticing experience!
  105.
  106. Her ears twitched as the chant reached them, that singular hue and the spectral flame that resided within her left socket staring up at the Supreme with interest in her eyes. The woman cut open her hand and dripped her ichor into the cup once more.
  107.
  108. Blood. . how she wanted to spill it. It had been a while. Perhaps she should find Ouranos and beat some out of him again. He was always up for a little masochistic indulgence.
  109.
  110. The pulsing onyx pentagram once again formed beneath her feet, stretching out, further and further as her words rolled through the air. A specific summoning chant on a specific day in a specific place. All of this seemed to be timed to a point for maximum effect. How. . unpleasantly orderly, but she supposed it offered the best results and allowed them to continue seeking chaos.
  111.
  112. The thick mist sprung up from the gateway to Helheim, obscuring the area with a malefic essence. Perfect, it was as if this smog was the rot of Helheim itself bringing itself unto the Materium and weakening the barriers further. Maybe that was why it happened. .
  113.
  114. Or it could just be Lemurias penchant for the theatrics.
  115.
  116. The mist warped and shifted colour, becoming as crimson as the last hue that remained in her socket. The portal ripped itself open, howls and brimstone lifting upwards from the hole as dark spirits poured out of it! A gift from the Dark Lord himself, blessed upon His faithful!
  117.
  118. As Lemuria brought the chalice up to her, a stream of blood flew from the clowns finger and began to fill it to an adequate level. There was certainly enough space for the others to grant their offerings, but it may take them a while unless they too could control the ambrosia of life.
  119.
  120. She allowed the essence of those spirits to permeate her very being, adding to her stock of usable magicks. These. . these would be useful. The CHAOS she could inflict upon people with this strength was unreal!
  121. (Heidi Augustus)
  122. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  123.
  124. [19:54] "Woah", she muttered quietly to herself, watching the ceremony with widened eyes filled with wonder. She didn't have anyone immediately nearby to cling to as dark spirits made themselves visible, and as such, the girl was left to fend off for herself in that regard-
  125.
  126. Maybe it was for the best. Her eyes trailed over the place, rather unused to feeling unsettled. The uneasiness made her feet softly brush over the grass as her fists clenched, but she remained steady- moreso, she kept staring at any one of the spirits she was actually able to see. Intently staring at them and not letting them out of her sights. Perhaps it helped her a little with the tinge of fear of the unknown, but the wonders this would do to her mind . .
  127.
  128. She was far too lost in her little world as the chalice was offered, which made her confused for the first second until she realized what she could do. Optional-
  129.
  130. Her eyes drifted over to the dark spirits as her hand reached for her tool belt, getting a medical scalpel from within. There was an uneasy expression as she approached the blade to the palm of her hand, and yet, when it touched-
  131.
  132. She smiled.
  133.
  134. A large satisfied smile spreading across her face as she slid the sharp part over her palm, letting the blood flown down into the chalice. Her eyes no longer looked at the spirits, but at her own blood flowing down; clenching her fist, she moved her hand to further pour a few last drops, and as she lowered her hand, a soft, barely audible cackle inadvertently escaped from her.
  135. (Lyanna Augustus)
  136. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  137.
  138. [20:06] Lemuria opened up both of her arms, turning away from the crowd, allowing the dark spirits to dance around her, and to enter and leave her body at a whim. She began speaking again, although this time it was hard to tell whether it was a chant or a monologue. There was a slight melodic tone to her voice as well; not enough to be considered singing, but definitely not normal.
  139.
  140. "O' beautiful spirits of Helheim, we shall dance your dance of carnage and bloodshed. Let us unite together in glorious harmony, and spread fear and terror the world over."
  141.
  142. "Their anguished cries shall fill the land, as music to your ears."
  143.
  144. The dark spirits around her ceased to dance, and the mist around her began to fade just enough for everyone here to clearly see her, allowing her to make her announcement in plain sight.
  145.
  146. "Anabelle has renounced her position as Supreme, unable to fulfill her role, as she is constantly beset by visions of Elaide's past, unable to remain awake. She will share her knowledge with us in due time, certainly, but we do not require it to move forward. And as such..."
  147.
  148. "I, Lemuria Augustus..."
  149.
  150. She once more turned towards the crowd, if for no other reason than dramatic effect.
  151.
  152. "...am now your Supreme."
  153.
  154. Her voice echoed, her presence unnaturally commanding, as the dark spirits took her penchant for theatrics every bit as seriously as she did.
  155. (Lemuria Augustus)
  156. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  157.
  158. [20:07] Alita nods her head, remaining silent now, a wide grin forming.
  159. (Alita Tym)
  160. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  161.
  162. [20:09] Heidi watched on with a soft smile as Lemuria lost herself to her theatrical routine. Again. Her mother definitely had a penchant for the dramatic. A real stage performer at heart! It was enjoyable to watch the older woman have fun, because usually around that age things just started to get flat out miserable.
  163.
  164. Cutting loose was always a good idea!
  165.
  166. At the announcement the Witch made, Heidi began to clap softly, smiling up at her! There was a surprising lack of, well, surprise on her face for some reason, though happiness was spread across it!
  167.
  168. "Congratulations!"
  169.
  170. Was this a reference?
  171. (Heidi Augustus)
  172. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  173.
  174. [20:09] A small but wicked smile crosses elegant features, hands raised to offer Lemuria some small applause. "Congratulations Lemuria.. It seems your doings have finally paid off." That as well as attrition. The Witch waiting for what would come next, looking amongst the rest of her 'kin'.
  175.
  176. How far she had come from the young noble who merely wanted to master the martial arts, what a completely different position she stood in now.
  177. (Alyssa Kurokaiyo)
  178. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  179.
  180. [20:09] Tonashi grew silent. So little Ana had pass on the role. The ookami eyes flickered but showed no such difference than usual. The ritual had gone very well. Lemuria had been doing a outstanding job so far. Battle wise and also getting to know the people. He himself saw no problem with the exchange of seating. He would simply acknowledge the change.
  181.
  182. Though he wondered what should would do with roles of the council.
  183.
  184. Either way he would be always one to support Moonfall actions or decisions.
  185. (Tonashi Botcher)
  186. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  187.
  188. [20:10] She hadn't known Anabelle very well, so this change, did nothing to her. She just stared rather dully at Lemuria for a few seconds, before smiling softly, clapping her hands together despite the cut.
  189.
  190. "Congratulations, Lady Lemuria."
  191. (Momo)
  192. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  193.
  194. [20:10] With the clearing of the spirits and the ritual over, it was time for some news. Or rather, news for the others, for Lavinia knew already, as well as Heidi. As such, like the brutish turd she was, Lavinia would impulsively jump up and wail before the reveal was fully finished. A little before she'd make her 'reveal' in all her theatrics, Laviniaz shouted.
  195.
  196. "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! YEAH!"
  197.
  198. And then the actually revelation of the new supreme. Even more of those woo's came to be with a very excited dragon celebrating pretty darn hard. That was her teacher, after all, and she was happy to see the scholar transcend to new heights.
  199.
  200. "Best teacher turns best Supreme, oh my~ Well, hopefully that'll be the case. I'm sure it will. Aye Heidi?"
  201. (Lavinia Walters)
  202. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  203.
  204. [20:10] Shock.
  205.
  206. She lifted her head and looked upon the witch that guided her people, realizing that she was looking upon the leader for all witches. The woman that was so kind, so inclusive, held a position that commanded such respect. It surprised her that someone with this status could be so helpful.
  207.
  208. Truly, the girl was frightened, as the woman's voice boomed preternaturally through the wilderness, reverberating within her ears all the way to her very soul. She was no witch; she didn't belong here, not truly. She felt a sense of insecurity take hold of her, but she remained silent.
  209.
  210. Her ignorance of what implications this had or what it truly meant demanded that she remained silent. She simply felt a mixture of pride for her teacher, as well as confusion for lack of understanding what was happening around her.
  211.
  212. "Congratulations, Lady Lemuria."
  213.
  214. She recanted what the others said, for that was the safest bet.
  215. (Seren)
  216. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  217.
  218. [20:13] She had a relatively less expressive reaction than most, her eyes still kept on the bloodied hand for the first few seconds as she had heard her mother speaking. Slowly raising, she looked directly into Lemuria's eyes through the end of the announcement, a smile shaping over her expression, beaming at her.
  219.
  220. A little differently than usual, though. Less innocent, maybe, though it's hard to call her innocent- less childish. There was a certain interest that was steadily growing into obsession within her the further she was exposed to things of this nature.
  221.
  222. "Nice", she muttered quietly.
  223. (Lyanna Augustus)
  224. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  225.
  226. [20:19] The dark spirits dispersed, and with it, the mist. Her presence was still unnaturally commanding, however, even in the absence of the dark spirits.
  227.
  228. "My first order of business is to appoint new councilors. Their role will be to assist in representing us, leading us, and perhaps one day, become the Supreme should I die or can no longer hold the position."
  229.
  230. Hopefully not any time soon, though; Lemuria was in this for the long haul.
  231.
  232. "I would like to request any who hold an interest in this position to step forward. I already have a few in mind, but want to know if they are truly interested before I make any declarations."
  233. (Lemuria Augustus)
  234. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  235.
  236. [20:20] Heidi stays standing. She wasn't nearly aware enough about the world and witchcraft in general to be appointed a councillor.
  237. (Heidi Augustus)
  238. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  239.
  240. [20:21] Lavinia does the same as Heidi, more so because she doesn't quite know what the job entails. Great economist though!
  241. (Lavinia Walters)
  242. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  243.
  244. [20:22] Tonashi would yawn as he would stretch his bones and gaze at the situation. He was a man of chance. A person who gambled is life more than his coins. Did he ever see himself worthy for council? He wasn't sure as he wasn't sure if others saw him as worthy. Still he would look to Lemuria. "My look at you a Supreme. How things have evolved over the times."
  245.
  246. Though he wasn't sure on how to go on to be a council. He rather the people be the choosers.
  247. (Tonashi Botcher)
  248. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  249.
  250. [20:23] The woman seemed to ponder what was said for a time, though they wouldn't speak aloud, their words instead crawling into the mind of Lemuria.
  251.
  252. There were things to be said.
  253. (Alyssa Kurokaiyo)
  254. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  255.
  256. [20:23] Alita didn't really need to step forward, she was already relatively close to Lemuria. As such? A hand extended and fell on Lemuria's shoulder.
  257.
  258. Of course one of Lemuria's first students would hold an interest. She may be the silent type, but Alita is one who has survived longer than many others, one who had formed strange alliances within Osrona itself, affording her a little safety if she had to go there.
  259.
  260. Alita had, in truth, friends all around, from Theria, to Osrona, to Moonfall, even to the demonic tower. Nothing grandiose, but just enough to afford her knowledge on things she wanted to learn.
  261.
  262. "You already know where I stand Lem."
  263. (Alita Tym)
  264. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  265.
  266. [20:26] Grendel rests a hand over his chin, considering what he should do next. First of, what are his current goals?
  267.
  268. Namely, they are two: The destruction of Osrona, but even more important? The restoration of the druidic circle. One who seems to get much less attention than that of the occult, however.
  269.
  270. And... Without the title of the archdruid being officially passed on to another in the circle? Perhaps, stepping forward to try and become a councilman, may be the right path forward.
  271.
  272. Thus? Grendel, would also take a step forward.
  273. "The amount of druids in this village is still quite small compared to the occult, but they should still have someone to step up and speak for their stead. Taking this step forward might help this, should you approve of such."
  274. (Grendel Beo)
  275. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  276.
  277. [20:27] Lyanna, oddly enough, silently takes a single step forward without averting her gaze from Lemuria and still holding that strange-looking smile over her face. It's quite unlikely she's gonna be chosen, that's true; it's equally unlikely that she holds any dellusions of actually taking the position, yet she does it anyway.
  278.
  279. Standing there, she keeps her eyes set upon Lemuria. Not a word was uttered to explain why she was doing it, nor anything to speak her mind on the subject either. The young girl just stood there silently staring.
  280. (Lyanna Augustus)
  281. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  282.
  283. [20:29] Heidi decided, 'fuck it. clown rights.' and stepped forward, though she didn't believe she'd get chosen; she'd not been here for all too long. But hey, nothing ventured nothing gained!
  284. (Heidi Augustus)
  285. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  286.
  287. [20:29] Alita wasn't too surprised that both of her children stepped forward.
  288. (Alita Tym)
  289. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  290.
  291. [20:39] Well. Good.
  292.
  293. The people she most wanted to appoint to this position stepped forward, and one contacted her to elaborate on their own position regarding the matter.
  294.
  295. "Alita Tym."
  296.
  297. A display of nepotism, possibly, but also a display of trust. The woman did have connections that ran rather deep, and giving her further authority to utilize that power could do nothing but benefit the village- hopefully.
  298.
  299. "Grendel Beo."
  300.
  301. It was the closest thing to Archdruid that she could bestow upon someone, and she believed that he was more than suitable for the position.
  302.
  303. "Both of you are the two I will choose for the position. The rest of you that stepped forward lack the experience, to be honest, but I can plainly see that you will one day have what it takes."
  304.
  305. She smirked, taking another chance to brag both on her behalf and that of her students'.
  306.
  307. "All of my students eventually do, after all. And I know anyone who is descended from me will be capable of amazing things."
  308.
  309. The quip about her students included the one she fought in the raid, although that one still had a long way to go before he could beat her.
  310. (Lemuria Augustus)
  311. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  312.
  313. [20:40] Heidi grinned and hopped back into line. Just as she'd expected, though it never hurt to try!
  314. (Heidi Augustus)
  315. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  316.
  317. [20:41] Lyanna took a single step back upon that, keeping that odd smile upon her face and now giving a single nod towards Lemuria. Only then her eyes trailed away, bobbing her head to the side and looking at Heidi, offering a small friendly wave!
  318. (Lyanna Augustus)
  319. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  320.
  321. [20:44] Alita didn't even have a thought of Lemuria not picking her, it made sense to Alita, she'd remained fairly invisible to others for the last thirteen years, but had always been working towards the betterment of Moonfall and the disruption of Osrona. Even back when Alita was beaten down she'd never given up in her goal of watching the knights fall prey to the witches and warriors of her home.
  322.
  323. The blue glow within Alita's eyes flickered more brightly as she once again nodded her head.
  324.
  325. "Together we will continue to bring the dark lord, and all of moonfall to even greater heights."
  326. (Alita Tym)
  327. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  328.
  329. [20:44] Lemuria was right. Currently, the title of a councilman is the next best thing he can attain, without the past archdruid being around to give the title to him.
  330.
  331. Of course, now it is up to him to make the best of it, bowing before the supreme.
  332. "I thank you for this opportunity , supreme. I'll do my best to help the village, witch and druid alike."
  333.
  334. Simple words, though easier said than done. There is still a great threat in the form of a city made of stone and brass, looming over them from the north east. And no doubt, the relations with the demons must be kept benign between them and Moonfall- Not an easy feat to many.
  335. (Grendel Beo)
  336. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  337.
  338. [20:45] Tonashi would be glad for the two. Grendel work hard and seem to been pushing himself to higher grounds. As for Alita she was smart and cunning. He saw good leadership in them both. Why he didn't step forward though. The ookami would not show. Clearly he was one to just do things from his shops and handle things when task were given. Though he had workers who do what he need to get done on the side.
  339.
  340. "Congrats you both. I shall assist you anyway i can from here on out." Removing his mask and showing the half mithril and half human face. He hated to remove it but he was showing that bright smile he always had.
  341.
  342. He pet his sister head as she be the one taking his place soon or later. For now he would work hard to make sure what needed to be done craft wise was handled.
  343. (Tonashi Botcher)
  344. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  345.
  346. [20:50] Big things were happening here. It seems that she was witnessing history. Among those that were within this ritual there were future leaders of this township that she called; these were the people that she would look to for guidance and for help if she chose to continue living here. It was extremely interesting, and it was very entertaining. The ritual was simply the appetizer for the main course, which was shaping the very identity of Moonfall.
  347.
  348. She nodded toward those that had been selected to help operate her home, but she didn't speak just yet. She wanted to ask many questions, but she kept them tucked away in the deep recesses of her mind. She simply happy that she was able to be party to something as important as this.
  349.
  350. Still, she wondered why there were no demons present. Perhaps it was a matter of respect, or demons didn't support the witches and their activities. She pushed that curious thought out of her mind and simply focused on what was happening now.
  351. (Seren)
  352. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  353.
  354. [20:54] Lemuria offered a clap for the two of them, half serious, half audacious, but she quickly dropped it, her tone and facial expression all changing. She didn't usually drop the theatrics, making it rather obvious rather quickly how important this was to her.
  355.
  356. "Now then, there is one last thing I wish to discuss. One thing I wish to obtain."
  357.
  358. Her gaze trailed over the crowd, as she pre-emptively scanned for the people she didn't want to be directly involved with this.
  359.
  360. "All who do not desire to risk their own lives to help me with something should probably leave now. For I desire to journey to Helheim itself in the near future; there is something I want there."
  361.
  362. It was a discussion she once had with Lavinia, although given her tone, it involved something much more dire.
  363.
  364. "A certain weapon that some of you may or may not have heard of; one that allows its user to call upon all the occultists of the land, and turns its user into a beacon of darkness itself."
  365.
  366. It would be the ultimate prize for Lemuria, and perhaps the most fitting, given how many occultists she was single-handedly responsible for. Obtaining it was a long-shot, certainly; she hardly knew where to look! But perhaps, if she was truly deserving, the Dark Lord himself would guide the way.
  367.
  368. "Durendal."
  369. (Lemuria Augustus)
  370. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  371.
  372. [20:55] Alita Tym says, "I'll aid in any way I can."
  373. [20:59] Durendal?
  374.
  375. Now that was not something she'd ever heard of before. Perhaps vague rumours and whispers, but none of them had stuck in the clownettes mind.
  376.
  377. A weapon that can draw upon all of the occultic energies of the land and turn its user into a being of pure depravity?
  378.
  379. You bet your ass she was in for this.
  380.
  381. Heidi stood exactly where she was, but she couldn't help herself. She began rocking back and forth on her feet, muffled frantic giggling escaping from betwixt her gritted teeth. A twitch in her eye made itself manifest as it began to look across the area at a frightening pace.
  382.
  383. A quest like this drew out her inner crackhead.
  384.
  385. She was down for it. She was double down for it. What was life without a little risk? Nothing ventured, nothing gained! And to journey to Helheim itself?! How incredible!
  386.
  387. Her body language spoke more words than her lips ever could.
  388.
  389. She was IN.
  390. (Heidi Augustus)
  391. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  392.
  393. [21:00] Tonashi eyes would light up with happiness. She was trying to get one of the most dangerous weapons known to occultist all around. Hell even crafters knew of this weapon. It was known to be one the most demonic creations in history. She plan to go the pits to do this. My she was brave and very reckless. That's the way of a fucking Supreme.
  394.
  395. "Those of you not familiar with the deadly events of Moonfall best not come. I already shown im a gambler so you know i am in." Tonashi scars and face showed he was one to risk it all.
  396.
  397. Also him and Lemuria was the only scribes he knew that could get through such a thing. Medic wise he wondered when their would be a main doctor in Moonfall.
  398.
  399. "Fun times. Maybe i pick up something legendary or breath taking."
  400. (Tonashi Botcher)
  401. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  402.
  403. [21:00] Durendal.
  404.
  405. The blade was as old as time itself, and it had been within the hands of so many throughout the years. From death mages to vampires to kings and queens from the ancient kingdoms, there was truly no limit to the number of pure evil people who wielded the blade. It was something like the boogeyman; its existence was not something that you could either confirm or deny, but to say it didn't exist would be discrediting thousands of years of history.
  406.
  407. When she looked upon the woman, the blade did not fit her. She was not a ghoul or a depraved monster, at least not outwardly, and to imagine her wielding the same blade that angels who skinned humans alive or kings that sacrificed entire civilizations was a stretch. But perhaps she simply did not know Lemuria.
  408.
  409. "I will help."
  410.
  411. The girl offered her help because the thought of partaking in such a quest was so intriguing to her, but she was almost certainly the weakest one here and she doubt that she would even be welcomed on such an expedition. Perhaps by the time the quest took place, she would have reached maturity.
  412. (Seren)
  413. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  414.
  415. [21:00] The chosen ones were displayed and the council was complete. Good, now Lavinia who to address if issues arose beyond the Vale's head. Now, came another matter, one that involved more exciting prospects. An adventure into Hel itself!
  416.
  417. "I'm so fuckin' in."
  418.
  419. Now the dragon stepped forward, having absolutely no reservations when it came to exploring the horrifying unknowns. After all, she had proposed to the Supreme such an adventure before. A journey coming quite soon, since a DM was found, yes.
  420.
  421. "Durendal . . . "
  422.
  423. Try as she might, she could not put her finger on that little bell that rang in her head. Durendal. A legendary blade of the dark, told in a myriad of stories as a mere myth. Lavinia could barely recall a bedtime story involving it, but it was there.
  424.
  425. "Whether I get t'hold it or not doesn't matter, I'll be comin'. Oh yes. All I need is this fuckin' tail 'n' y'all to be as pumped as I am."
  426.
  427. She too was IN. Except more in than Heidi because cool dragon.
  428. (Lavinia Walters)
  429. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  430.
  431. [21:01] Durendal…
  432.
  433. Was it worth that risk in particular...? Of course she was more than aware of the legends, and of the written lore about the weapon.. It was nothing to be scoffed at certainly.. but could Lemuria find a group that could even survive that journey?
  434.
  435. The enigma was one of the strongest people who often frequented the settlement, and these days they barely touched the strength of some of the others walking around.
  436.
  437. Would such a trip result in her death if she went?
  438.
  439. Did she want to abandon her wife, her children..? Potentially at least.
  440.
  441. "If there is a group that I trust not to die horrible deaths with attending, I will go, but I understand perhaps better than most what would lie between us and that blade."
  442. (Alyssa Kurokaiyo)
  443. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  444.
  445. [21:01] "a journey to Helheim? Can't say I know what would lie ahead." Grendel retorts. He heard the name Helheim being said a couple of times before, but only in passing.
  446.
  447. "But, if it is to further improve our cause, then I'll lend you both my blade, and my sight for this endeavor!" Grendel speaks, even shouts it in confidence! He has already risked his life time and time again for the sake of Moonfall, and for the sake of nature.
  448.
  449. What is one more?
  450.
  451. A hand clasped into a fist and held tightly on his chest, Grendel would stand tall. "If we are going to a foreign place, perhaps I'll be able to contact the spirits of nature there for assistance, should they exist in Helheim."
  452. (Grendel Beo)
  453. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  454.
  455. [21:02] Her head bobbed to the side at the prospect, index finger raising to be pressed against her lips. Her thoughtful expression was perhaps wondering what she could even do to help, eyes slowly trailing over the bunch of people that were there. Though her concerns were visible, she didn't voice any of them, and as her hand lowered, her smile only grew.
  456.
  457. Silently, her eyes sought Lemuria once more, merely doing a little cheerful nod as a response.
  458. (Lyanna Augustus)
  459. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  460.
  461. [21:08] "Lovely."
  462.
  463. The people here really were interested, eh? She picked some amazing people to be her students, their penchant for danger and risk making them excellent choices for these sorts of things.
  464.
  465. "I do not intend on bringing more than necessary, but I will approach you in private if I desire you to come. But for now, you are all dismissed."
  466.
  467. By approach in private, she means 'if you post in the ensuing thread.'
  468.
  469. "Thank you for your time, everyone."
  470. (Lemuria Augustus)
