Retroarch: A multisystem emulator that has basically been ported to EVERYTHING: PC, Linux, Mac, Android devices, Wii, GameCube, even the phat original Xbox. It has a faster version of VBA as well if your computer is just that bad.

NDS4droid: DS Emulator. I have to be honest, I don’t know much about this one, but, you can get the latest versions for free. I don’t know how much the supposed mediocre support has been improved, but supposedly it can run most Pokemon games pretty well now. Just make sure to use the in game save feature. There’s also an iOS version (faggot)

Q: Something doesn't work! Why?
A: Did you READ the wiki? If you DID then go google it OR politely ask about it in our thread OR over on /vg/ /emugen/

Q: Where do I get roms?
A: You have to be 18+ to use 4chan

Q: I'm using a different emulator! Why do I need to switch?
A: You don't but don't be surprised when emulators like VBA and DeSmuMe which haven't seen an update in a very long time either have impacted performance or experience issues no one knows how to or cares about fixing.

Q: Where is TURBO mode on melonDS?
A: DS emulation is still not as advanced as GBA emulation. You won't find specific fast forward speeds as the emulator is only capable of uncapping the framerate. To do this open your hotkey config and choose a hotkey to 'Toggle FPS limit' You also need to make sure audio is NOT synced for this to work

Q: I can't save my game at the end after the Champion fight!
A: This is because you weren't using regular saves. In Platinum you need to delete your old save by pressing UP+SELECT+B on the title screen BEFORE you start a new game.

Q: Heart Gold/Soul Silver crash/freeze/bugs up!
A: I assume most roms on the internet are patched already, but if yours isn’t you need to patch your game with the Rudolph patch. Check the links to official games links pasta for more information. If your screen goes black or the sprites glitch up either go into a menu, or save and reload to fix.

Q: I can’t get exp in Black/White!
A: Same as above, check the official games links pasta
