  3. @ International Diplomatic Organization Thank you all for voting and contributing to the debate around the broad aims we will include in our constitution. The votes have been counted and the results will now be announced.
  4. Motion A: Supported unanimously (100%) and will be entered into our constitution
  5. Motion B: Supported with a constitutional majority (72%) and will be entered into our constitution
  6. Motion C: Supported with a constitutional majority (75%) and will be entered into our constitution
  7. Motion D: Supported with a constitutional majority (95%) and will be entered int our constitution
  8. Motion E: Supported without a constitutional majority (52%) and therefore agreed in principle. Therefore this motion will be subject to further scrutiny and delegates will have the opportunity to submit and vote upon alternative texts at the ranked voting stage. Please note that if Motion H is carried, this motion is rendered obsolete.
  9. Motion F: Supported unanimously (100%) and will be entered into our constitution
  10. Motion G: Supported with a constitutional majority (90%), however note this motion will be rendered obsolete if Article 4 of Motion H is carried.
  11. Motion H: This motion has been voted on in separate articles and will be voted on as amended at the next stage.

  55. Security Council Founding Motion A: The Security Council will contain permanent members

  58. Voting starting now until Tuesday 10AM UK time. We are using Single Transferrable Voting and results will be calculated. Please put 1 to 7 in order of 1 being your most favourite and 7 being your least favourite. Usual rules on 2 delegates per nation.

  60. 1. Taeguk Plan: No permanent seats. Each IDO member receives 4 votes to allocate to nations (1 per nation) and the top 8 nations are given a seat for a 5 year term. Nations can vote for themselves. First Chairman acts as tiebreaker.
  61. 2. Continental Plan: No permanent seats. 9 Security Council members are elected by geographic regions.
  62. 3. Trefor Plan: 4 rotating seats reserved for big countries, 4 rotating seats reserved for small countries, elected First Chairman acts as tiebreaker.
  63. 4. Permanent Plus 5 : 4 permanent seats for Zalivia, Shanthi, Kreisland and Ashfield. 5 elected seats voted by geographic regions.
  64. 5. Kreisland Plan: 5 permanent seats. For the remainder, 6 rotating seats for the top 3 and bottom 3. After a 4 year term, 3 below the current top 3 and 3 above the current bottom take a term and so on.
  65. 6. Shanthi Plan: Permanent seats for 100 plus million nations. Permanent seats will comprise 1/3 of the Security Council with the remainder elected.

Danivon Plan: Motion X-1: That there shall be a General Council established that will be based on every member state having a single delegate with voting powers and speaking rights, to be determined by each nation through their own internally agreed process. In lieu of a nomination, or in case of disputes, the Head of State (or Head of Government for Constitutional Monarchies) shall be recognised as delegate.

  68. Motion X-2: In General Council, motions shall in normal circumstances be agreed by majority vote. The exceptions are for changes to the IDO Constitution and structures (a) ; decisions that mean the IDO acting in or against a member state (b); decisions that mean the IDO acting in or against a non-member state (c) ; any Budgetary or revenue raising measures (d) ;

  74. Should the IDO all be hosted in the same city, or should each council have its own host city? Voting for the latter is not a decision for where specifically these should be, only whether or not they should be hosted separately.

  78. Hello everyone! Since KV is moving to Zalivia, this server is (with its better organization and larger outreach) going with him to become the new Zalivia server. Because of this, we'll be moving the IDO to its own server, which I'll quickly put together before this server begins transitioning into Zalivia. The vote currently being held on the different Security Council Plans will be recorded on an excel document, and posted in the new server; where we will continue voting (and allow people to change their votes).
