Okay, I mean, this is a troll really. I've never seen a troll get dealt with on aurora, mostly because i'm smart enough to avoid them.

I'd bwoink the fella, and ask him if he has a second to talk. Then, I'd explain the fact that they're breaking the rules, and explain what rules they are. I'd like to assume I'd not have to hand out any punishments and that they'd actually try the server. Otherwise, trolls sometimes dip when staff notice, or I can just hand out a punishment.
Obviously, if they decided to stay and actually try the server, they'd get a phat ol' warn.

The round is merc. The mercs  dock with the station and are met with immediate force from security, one security officer and the warden, immediately opens up with lethals on the mercs, another one beelines into their ship and blows the ship up with the tank transfer valves. All mercs are killed, then the two officers and a warden, who are new to the server if you check for new players, go into looc and say "lol, get rekt, phagggggots.". The mercs ahelped that they were ganked, what do you do first?(edited)

I'd first get a nice little description of what happened from the mercs who ahelped, and then probably ask one of the friendly neighbourhood staff team to help me out in contacting the security team involved, and ask for them to explain what happened.

The mercs explain what happened, a moderator steps in and helps contact security. The officer that you contact responds with "Well, we're security, they were obviously gonna attack us, so we attacked them first, if they're salty, sucks to be them."

Because these people are part of the community they're currently in, and it's a pretty small community.
And then I'd get back on track; I'd explain that the role of security isn't to charge at intruders head-on, but rather to protect the crew of the station. I'd explain that this is a HRP server and that their actions didn't allow for much, if any RP with or for the mercs. I'd also explain how the mercs have likely spent at least half an hour planning the round's gimmick, and that their actions have ruined that entire situation.

He asked for the chance, he acknowledged the warning, and he still went for it.
Also, personally, since I'd be watching, I'd probably notice the lack of him attempting any roleplay before he gets to the SM, and hopefully be able to intercept him before he can detonate it

It's hard to explain, but I'd prefer to not stand out, and just be there in an ooc POV. particularly when it comes to moderating, as i find being the center of attention can get to your head
