  3. Premise
  4.
  5. A human adult from the real world is turned into a Bayleef and dumped into the Pokemon one. Specifically the PMD Blue/Red Rescue team variety.
  6.
  7. Inspired by a PMD comic with a sassy Torchic and a Serious Mudkip.
  8.
  9. Protagonist is fully aware of the “plot” of what is going on and acts accordingly. Unorthodox, attempts to use human tactics and ingenuity to compensate for somewhat poor performance in combat as a Pokemon in the beginning, though eventually uses these innovations of his to help him excel in it to become a versatile, unpredictable, and deadly opponent. I.E: Improvised use of Molotov cocktails against bug and grass type of opponents. Develops into a terror hero of sorts, using the perception of those around him as an unusual and downright unnerving personality from what one would normally expect from a “docile” Bayleef to his advantage.
  10.
  11. Ultimately spreads more human knowledge with all the consequences entails, both for better and worse. Plot plays out and diverges from the original games due to protagonist actions, diverging in ways that blindside the protagonist. Some of his foreknowledge helps him avoid certain predicaments, only for him to bumble into other ones due to consequences of said actions.
  12.
  13. I.E: Standing his ground against Gengar and the rest of Team Meanies, tearing them down verbally, but unnerving the rest of the town due to his uncanny and unnerving demeanor, solidifying his reputation as a Bayleef who is far from what is considered normal for their species. Character is considered a maverick due to their actions. He forms some connections, but his sometimes impulsive actions cause negative repercussions down the line.
  14.
  15. Plot
  16.
  17. The story begins with the protagonist waking up in the middle of Tiny Woods. When he realizes his predicament, he calmly tries to adjust and appraise himself to his current situation. Adjusts better than most would expect. This is accounting for the protagonist usually somewhat detached dissociation from reality, allowing him to view it from an “outsider” removed perspective to some degree unless in truly grave danger. Not completely removed, but a lack of empathy and social skills contribute to this development, sometimes which leads him to alienate what would otherwise be neutral parties and allies.
  18.
  19. Character has been automatically imbued with instinctual motor control required for a Bayleef to survive, and some of their moveset. Mastery of them is another matter, with execution of special named moves like razor leaf and vine whip initially clumsy and ineffective in usage. This does not go unnoticed by those parties present with him during combat.
  20.
  21. As soon as protagonist gets used to his body to some degree, he is soon confronted by a Butterfree whose Caterpie is missing Tiny Woods. She implores him to help rescue her son. With nothing currently better to do and stuck in an unknown world, he reluctantly agrees. They travel and fight off hostile “feral” Pokemon in Tiny Woods, during which Butterfree notes his rather clumsiness. Eventually they reach Caterpie, who is surrounded by a scouting party of Beedrill who are about to make the little guy into a shisshkabba. The only thing stopping them thus far is a female Beedrill, who split off from their hive sometime ago. All Beedrill present are sapient. Though the former is of a “barbarian” faction, split off from the primary civilization present in this world. With the help of the three members, they beat off the attackers by the skin of their teeth. The butterfree breaths a sigh of relief, thankful to reunite with her offsprings.
  22.
  23. Introductions are made with each other, with the protagonist in particular being questioned on who they are, what they were doing in the Everfree in the first place, and why they were so damn sloppy in their movements during combat. The protagonist is given pause, but soon gives a half truth of an answer in that says that this was not their original body, and they would not believe him if he told what he was otherwise. Additionally, he informs them truthfully that he has no idea how he got there in the first place, as well as the fact that he is not familiar with the area. More questions could be answered later once they were out of the forest.
  24.
  25. As she is thanking the two for their help during the introductions, the protagonist is struck with the full effects of the poison strike. The protagonist is heavily wounded from the encounter, having been poisoned by a lucky shot from a stinger attack. Again, this is due to having limited time to acclimate to their body, the protagonist being more vulnerable than normal to suck attacks due to not having any resistances built up. Immediately right afterwards, the Beedrill come back in force. The protagonist attempts to make a stand, but is knocked back down by a single slap from one of their hand stingers. Just as the killing blow was about to be struck, an experienced rescue team that was just passing by was able to beat this group back.
  26.
  27. The protagonist is still in critical condition, with the team having to administer an emergency pecha/oran berry tonic to keep him alive.
  28.
  29. The protagonist wakes up in a hospital area, in a specialty ER for heavily poisoned Pokemon. Upon waking up, the protagonist is greeted by a Chancy. The protagonist finds themselves weak and unable to move due to the amount of poison damage they sustained, which requires for them to recuperate for a few days as the hospital. Here proper introductions are made by a worried Beedrill, Butterfree, and the Caterpie they met before. The rescue team is currently away on another assignment, but they will soon be properly introduced as well.
  30.
  31. During this time, the protagonist is given the usual battery of questions, as the town local government do not have this Pokemon on record, nor was any form of rudimentary identification was present on his person.
  32.
  33. Characters
  34.
  35. Team Stalwart (Alternate Names include Noble, Starborne, Ace, Resolute, Tranquil)
  36.
  37. The meaning behind the name is that their team will always attempt to remain steadfast against any and all challenges sent their way in whatever form it may present itself. Though they may not always succeed, they will do their damndest to accomplish a given objective. Where possible, they will try and do the noble thing, though sometimes the team leader will resort to unsavory methods that calls into questions their reputation.
  38.
  39. The Protagonist (Bayleef) Coryn: The Hardened/Embittered Stoic
  40.
  41. The primary protagonist of the story. Introverted and rarely social, he has been forced into an unusual situation and has attempted to adapt accordingly. His personality can be described as being reserved, easy going, and withdrawn during his initial time spent in this world, though he is forced to socialize to cope with his current situation. Attempts to be diplomatic where possible, preferring to avoid escalation of a conflict into open hostilities due to their lack of combat expertise in the initial phases, and to avoid any troublesome entanglement that could very well endanger both him, fellow party members, and friendly civilian forces. I.E: Being able to talk down the Skarmory at Mt. Steel and mediates negotiations between the steel bird of prey and the Dugtrio that have settled in the area.
  42.
  43. With regards to his situation, his current position is to establish the what has cause his current predicament, how he manage to get here, and finally the reason why he is here in the first place out of so many other chosen candidates. The protagonist has his suspicions, as he is aware of the meta of the situation that he is currently in as of present time. Such are confirmed throughout the course of the story, though events diverge due to the actions of the protagonist.
  44.
  45. I.E: Alienation of the town’s populace due to some action, causing a manhunt for him with no regards to sympathy for the human acting in the role of a villain, or perhaps such a manhunt is prevented due to him turning Gengar’s accusations on its head. Such would initially prevent him from coming into contact with either Ninetales and the like.
  46.
  47. The protagonist on certain occasions can become impulsive, partly due to retaining their ADHD from their human life. Given the right circumstances the protagonist can become confrontational and emotionally compromised, given to rash actions that will bite them down later down the line. Alternatively, their attitude of the ends justify the means can sometime alienate them to other parties, I.e: Becoming a terror hero to intimidate opponents into submission if diplomacy proves ineffective and/or confronted with a party that require tougher measures. Such policies may also be initiated if the protagonist has their patience worn down by what they deem to complete and utter bullshit from an offending party. I.E: Responding to threats like that from Team Meanies to make an example of them as a warning to others to not agitate the protagonist in a manner that would enrage them.
  48.
  49. Has cognitive dissonance struggles with ideas of equality and supremacy as the story progress against embittered forces that test Coryn’s resolve. National identity of the protagonist, plus prior history set the foundations for protagonist becoming more ruthless with his enemies, as his desire to do good becoming smothered by bitterness encapsulating his very being to manifest in the form of supremacist ideals and hatred for both self hatred of inner deficiencies and that of his hated foes.
  50.
  51. “There is an overwhelm rage that burns hot in my heart. I will not tolerate such treachery nor blatant evil again. No more. Such scum like Gengar must be put to the sword. I will tear that basterd apart, I swear it.” Coryn, in response to the consequences of Gengar successfully turning the town against his team and having them come to harm.
  52.
  53. The inner darkness stirred within his heart. A black rage took over wholly his form, the aura of darkness eminating from his soul terrifying the Lucario who stood before him. A black ball of rage stood formed in front of the Bayleef as a savage grin took hold of his features.
  54.
  55. “Time to die Lucario.” He let loose with savage glee.
  56.
  57.
  58.
  59.
  60.
  61.
  62.
  63.
  64. Technology
  65. One of his tertiary goal is to help unlock human knowledge and technology for the Pokemon in this world. The humans of this planet has since gone extinct many centuries ago, and though a great many of their technology remains, much of the knowledge to operate it has been either buried or lost throughout the centuries. At the current time, enough knowledge has been recovered or rediscovered to have a rudimentary civilization based on simple but robust tech based on human creations, though the more advanced ones are beyond that of what most can achieve. Primarily it is a lack of physical media of which to teach the Pokemon is what they lack. There are sites in the world that can contain such knowledge, but they require an intricate understanding of how to get to them in the first place, as well as being able to brave the dangers that lay between the goal and the Pokemon who wish to reach it, I.e: High level hostile feral Pokemon and so forth. The protagonist must keep in mind the consequence of his actions, especially when it is revealed that he is a human. Coryn will also attempt to pass off as much human wisdom as possible in order to alleviate the growing pains of the civilization that the Pokemon are trying to build to varied degrees of success.
  66.
  67. Alternatively, it could be had that whatever entity that dropped Coryn here will drop bit and pieces of tech and knowledge from back home, with the energy sources needed to hook up electronic devices to truly pass on information en mass. A much bigger game is being played here, and Coryn may find the uncomfortable truth that he is but a mere pawn in a larger game.
  68.
  69. The Second Protagonist (Beedrill) Cera
  70.
  71. The more enthusiastic member of the team. Broke off from her hive early on in live to become a civilized member of society. A more cheerful, enthusiastic member of the team to counterbalance the withdrawn Bayleef member of the group. Aspired to join a rescue team, though had difficulties due to the stigma Beedrill faced in the town. Was inspired by the heroism and leadership that the Bayleef displayed, asking him to become leader of a team on the spot. Naturally left with little choice, the Bayleef agreed. Self named Cera after the humble Nincada explorer who triumphed against overwhelming odds. Slowly becomes more confident in her skills to accomplish her ambitions early on with encouragement from Coryn at her side. Becomes concerned with the history and well being of her leader as events lead to him becoming more bitter and jaded. Shifts to becoming alarmed and horrified as his actions become more overt and ruthless in response to hostile opposition that the protagonist deems a worthless stain only worthy of being destroyed. She represents the moral compass of the team.
  72. Her ideals must weather not only the exterior conflicts that threaten to harm her team, but also that of the turmoil that rages within her team. Her leader especially as his outlook causes him to resort to more amoral actions that lead naught but to ruin.
  73.
  74. Cera’s mandibles stood slack as her gaze slowly shifted from the burnt remains of what used to be the criminal Aztec to Coryn, who stood there impassive to the scene he just perpetrated. Behind her, Eva was conforming the weeping Teddiersa. It just happened so fast. One moment the prep was threatening to slaughter both them and the family of the Teddiersua, the next the bug dragon type was set aflame by Coryn’s fire bottle. A blast seed sent the poor basterd down the pit where he was made to burn.
  75.
  76. A feeling of revulsion went up her abdomen as she tried to wipe the image from her mind to no avail.
  77.
  78. The blood in her body ran cold as her companion began to laugh.
  79.
  80. “Coryn… Why would you do this? What happened? I… Oh Arceus what have you done?”
  81.
  82. “Simple. I merely put him in his place.”
  83.
  84. “B-but you killed him! You murdered him in cold blood! You let him burn!
  85.
  86. Coryn’s gaze hardened into a glare. Cera completely froze, a sense of ever growing fear festering within her soul.
  87.
  88. “Yes. I did. It is the least the bastard deserved. What I did was a damn mercy compared to what that worthless sack of shit should have gotten. As it is, he got off easy.”
  89.
  90. “EASY!? Coryn, we were supposed to take him in, NOT kill him. We are a recuse team, not murderers! We’re supposed to be-”
  91.
  92. Coryn snarled. Her eyes widening as the Bayleef slammed into her torso, pinning her to the ground. Cera struggled not to scream as a hot blooded predator stared down into her very soul looking ready to murder her that very moment. She didn’t recognize the person in front of her.
  93.
  94. “Don’t you fucking get it!? If we let these bastards live, they’ll go on to reek more havoc on the innocent. We cannot allow those fuckers to get away like that. This bastard killed who knows how many. In a society such as this, the strong devour the weak and helpless. Only those others who are strong like us can prevent this from happening. We are their fucking shepherds Cera, they NEED us to do what needs to be done, whether we like it or not. For evil to prevail, good people only need do nothing. In order to prevent that, we MUST take measures to stop it. That means doing things that in good society would rightly judge to be immoral. Do I regret that it had to get to this point that it required me to use lethal force to terminate this fucker’s existence? Yes. Do I apologize for it? No! I fucking do not apologize for it. You haven’t seen what I have seen Cera. You don’t know what it is like for a criminal to run free while the law is useless in punishing these fuckers.”
  95.
  96. Tears ran freely down Cera’s face, her entire body seizing in a series of convulsions as she tried to make sense of what was going on. Her friend, her loyal companion who encouraged her to be her very best had just murdered a person in cold blood. He didn’t even hesitate. Just killed him just like that. No remorse.
  97.
  98. “W-wyhy? T-ththere are better ways Coryn. I- Who are you even? I just don’t understand what-”
  99.
  100. “Of course you don’t fucking understand. You never had it rough. Neither had I until I was brought to this fucking world. Then I had to see that even here, society fails to punish its wrongdoers. You Pokemon are no better at policing these thugs than the people back home. I had some faith that you guys would have been able to get the job done. That you would be able to stand tall for what is right and what is needed. I actually had some high hopes. But no, those High Chair of Status fucks at the Rescue Committee are in bed with the very criminals who terrorize this countryside. That fucker was supposed to be in jail for good for what he done, yet they let him go with a slap on the wrist. I should have known that if we humans couldn’t do it, then what fucking hope do you lot have at-”
  101.
  102. “ENOUGH!”
  103.
  104. A growl escaped his lips as Coryn turned to face the interloper. Standing before them was none other than Alakazam of Team A.C.T.
  105.
  106. “Oh, it’s you. Come here to lecture me are you?”
  107.
  108. “No. Not yet. You are clearly in an agitated state. Coryn, you are not in your right state of mind. As acting an active member of Gold Team A.C.T, you and your companion are to surrender to custody effective immediately for review and counseling.”
  109.
  110. The bayleef scoffed.
  111.
  112. “Oh? What makes you think I will comply?”
  113.
  114. Two massive thuds plummed on either side of the bayleef and beedrill. Before Coryn could react, he was body slammed into the ground by a massive green beast as she was carefully hoisted up by two warm arms. Trembling, her gaze turned upward to see charizard carefully coddling her.
  115.
  116. “Are you alright Miss?”
  117.
  118. Was she? She just saw her friend kill a person in cold blood. Everything that she thought she knew about her friend just went out the window with a crash. All that nobility, all that heroism, all that valor, was it all just for nothing? Or worse, just a mere act? She thought she knew Coryn to a good extent. Why else would he confer to her his closely guarded secret of being human and having such being confirmed by Xatu? She was kept warm on the cold nights by his body temperature. He was the first one in, last one out unless the situation called for otherwise. He was the one to take up the plight of the Jumpluff when no one else would, albeit at an exchange rate of one dollar a week to pay for a $500 fee. Both to earn their keep and to make a point in teaching an important lesson to the Jumpluff so as to ensure that they and others avoid trouble such as that again, and to demonstrate a practical nobility to all who wished to aspire to be noble and earn a keep at the same time. He was the one who took many an attack that would have otherwise left her crippled in a dungeon, perhaps even killed.
  119.
  120. This bayleef, she did not recognize him. Her entire belief system regarding him, aspiring to be like him, had been shattered in but an instant. Her arms dangled, her wings hurt, Arceus, everything hurt. She just wanted to curl up in a bed and wake up from this horrible nightmare. Yes, it had to be a nightmare. Coryn would never do such a thing. If only such were true. She could feel her heart barely maintain itself as she cried in the charizard’s arms. She cried as she was carried all the way back to a special location zone specifically reserved for high echolon Rescue and Explorer teams. When her tears ran dry, her mind closed off to the world as she was put in a very warm, comfy bed. Of which was little comfort as her mind drew to a sleepless night. She did not bother to acknowledge the Chancey as they cared for her wounds. She did not notice the Munna and Drowsey engulf her mind as she slowly fell into what she hoped would be a dreamless sleep.
  121.
  122. **__**__**
  123.
  124. She was alone in a forest of predators. She was running as fast as her pitiful legs could carry her. The wings on her back were shredded, a dart wedged into her wing muscles as she tried to outrun whatever was pursuing her. Her little legs burned with exhaustion, a beedrill wasn’t made for running. But run she must. She had to leave. She HAD to escape. Run, run, run. Get away.
  125.
  126. She cried as her legs tripped on a vine that snagged at her body. She tried to claw her way to freedom as she tried to gain purchase on the ground. Her body was turned iver and utter fear filled her entire being as the malevolent being gaze back at her with murderous hatred. It raised a bottle that was on fire with a fine close to its face.
  127.
  128. She screamed as she saw her assailant. She screamed as he slowly ripped off her legs. She scream as she was slowly crushed beneath his hooved feet. Her scream pierced the skies of dreamland as she was finally lit on fire.
  129.
  130. Then she awoke in a cold sweat, crying as a comforting paw wrapped itself around her. She cried into the wool of the nurse mareep as the sweet nurse whispered sweet nothings into her ear, the memories of the dream and yesterday playing out in vivid detail in her mind’s eye all the while.
  131.
  132. Cera, in response to Coryn’s outright slaughter of an opposition force that was threatening to harm an innocent in the most painful way possible.

  138.
  139. A Bayleef is walking through town when confronted by Alakazam after encounter with Gengar.

  146. Plot Bunny #1
  147.
  148. A possibility that exists is that there can be two humans turned Pokemon. One being the Bayleef from the “real world” with his memory intact, the other being the Beedrill who was a human from the Pokemon-Human world with amnesia, the protagonist’s introduction being a fluke that was not intended to happen, with the two meeting up in Tiny Woods and causing ripples from there.

  152. Exists in pockets, heavily guarded.
