- >Day Who gives a fuck in Equestria
- >You are Feral-Anon
- >It's been weeks since you woke up in that blasted field...
- >Wide out in the open, only prey are foolish enough to leave the safety of the brush.
- >You had made the nearest forest your new nesting grounds.
- >Finding shelter had been your first priority.
- >It didn't take long to come across a suitable cave to make your new home.
- >Unfortunately, it was already occupied by a large bear.
- >Unfortunate for the bear that is.
- >Sneaking up on the sleeping creature was child's play, it only took mere moments to stab it with the makeshift spear you had always kept with you, and rip out its jugular with your bare teeth.
- >A fine meal to christen your new den, you celebrated with a thundering howl and began feasting till sunrise.
- >It was glorious, but a single bear no matter how large would only last so long.
- >With the corpse picked clean to the bones there was no choice but to hunt once more.
- >But this forest was no jungle, mysterious plants and creatures you'd never seen before grew and ran amok as far as your eyes could see.
- >You weren't gonna let them beat you.
- >Life in the jungles had taught you how to hunt, how to survive, how to be STRONG.
- >They would learn that they were nothing but meat waiting for your gaping maw to consume.
- >Prowling on all fours made sneaking easier, the small ones tended to notice you quickly.
- >Moving from brush to brush, tree to tree, getting a lay of the land and your next meal.
- >Your ears pick faint noises, bugs chittering, birds incessantly chirping...
- >And the light pitter-patter of a rabbit.
- >Hardly a meal, a snack really, but fresh meat was always delicious no matter what size it came in.
- >Tracking through the thick brush wasn't easy, but the sound of its footsteps and its delicious scent kept you on course.
- >Finally, it entered a clearing. Stopping to rest and nibble on some boring flower.
- >The calm serenity of the scene is lost on you, adorableness wouldn't fill your stomach.
- >Silently, you pull back your spear and take aim.
- >The rabbit's ears twitch (you hated when they did that) and it looked in your direction, but it was too late.
- >In one swift motion, you throw the spear and get a direct hit.
- >Not a clean kill though, pierced straight through its thigh as if it was stapled to the ground.
- >You calmly walk up to it, you know its not going anywhere now.
- >The look of terror in its eyes means nothing to you, the only mercy you offer is a quick death.
- >With a quick SNAP its life is over and yours is guaranteed for another night.
- >Carrying it home would be a waste of time.
- >You decide to eat immediately, it was a rather small meal after all.
- >Tearing into the flesh, snapping bones with that satisfying crunch.
- >The feasting leaves you a little preoccupied, so much that you don't notice the creature slowly creeping up behind you in the distance.
- >That is, until you hear a twig's loud CRACK coupled with something else.
- >"Oh...oh my!"
- *Retro-Active Author Note*
- To any readers turned off by how short this is, I just wanted to let you know this was my very first attempt at writing, subsequent chapters are much longer and much more detailed, especially from chapter 4 and up.
