  1. Frostfall, week 1, day 4
  2. Naia caught me writing yesterday, made every snake on her scaley head turn. She didn't think ogres could. I didn't have the heart to tell her I was the one that found out corporate had been shorting our travel reimbursements. With the snow covering the roads, getting real food's been hard. We had to buy rations from the expedition, and they haven't been too keen on selling it. Keeping their beds warm is barely turning a profit. Half tempted to steal a few of the horses for dinner. Oblivion knows I feel like I could eat one whole.

  4. Frostfall, week 2, day 7
  5. Sick of sleeping in tents and using all our gold just for food, we ditched the expedition for the dungeon we passed just off the main road, Colb I think it was called. Reminds me of the place I used to have in eastern hills in the last era, carved right into a cliff face and down under the hill. This one goes deeper though, since the ground's flatter. Chelli's been thin and sloshy, can barely keep herself together. The food situation's been hardest on her. I had to lay her jar on its side just so she could get out. She found her way to the stairs and spilled all the way down to the bottom level to sulk until Naia came back with some deer. Her eyes made the meat tough, but I was able to cut it small enough for Chelli to dissolve easily. Blunted my best knife doing it though.

  7. Frostfall, week 4, day 3
  8. Still eating mostly venison, but at least it's better than hard tack and thin soup. We found some jars of grain and honey that were kept sealed with magic. Damn clever wizards. They know we always come back. I think if we can hold out a few more weeks, we can turn this place into a cozy little home. We used our tents to cover up doorways we weren't using, keep some of the chill out. Plenty of wood to keep us warm. Chelli keeps bringing up coins, gems and other things from the last era. It's a damn shame his majesty left all this stuff here when he went on his quest all those years ago, but at least they're back in good hands. We'll have the gems sent back to corporate soon as the roads are open again. I've been remaking old swords into chains and cuffs, for customers with peculiar tastes.

  10. Frostfall, week 5, day 1
  11. There's plenty of space for all of us down here and it's warm enough, but we've gotten used to all sharing a bed. With just me, Chelli and Naia (Puia flew off somewhere before we went to Colb and hasn't come back. Probably reached the capital weeks ago), it's been lonely. I don't talk much, so I pretend I don't care it's just the three of us.
  12. I think they notice I'm faking it though.
  13. I hope they notice.
  14. Chelli makes a good blanket.

  16. Frostfall, week 8, day 6
  17. Woke up this morning to find the dungeon surrounded by tents. The expedition came back. They heard rumors of fairies and wood spirits past the mountains, but turned back when they didn't find any, and the desert's damn cold in the winter too. They brought back spices from Alazer or however you spell it, and I think I've changed my mind a bit about working for food now that it's got some flavor to it. No offense to Naia, her deer got us through a bad spot, but petrified meat is just plain bland and now we have curry.
  18. It's been way too long. Took four scouts down to a room we refurbished and fucked the daylights out of em. At least we've got plenty of hides for blankets. Naia's been bouncing from gent to gent, and this time her meat's still got flavor after she's made it go stiff. Chelli stuck herself to a young ensign that wandered downstairs and hasn't let him go all day.

  20. Frostfall, week 8, day 7
  21. The expedition's sticking around Colb, so the captain says. Apparently they're using this place as a launch point for ventures south and east, but first they plan on going back to the capital. They're setting up a palisade around the place, making a little town out of it. Feels a bit weird to be dungeon-dwelling monsters on the inside of a human wall, but as long as they're spending gold down here, I'm not complaining. I sent the gems back with an outrider, with a letter to corporate asking for more girls to fill these empty rooms. He doesn't look like a sharp lad. I don't think he'll connect the dots. I just hope the weather doesn't slow him. Gave him some casino tokens for good measure.

  23. Frostfall, week 9, day 2
  24. Weather's been mild. I think that outrider, Marley, will be at the capital in just a few more days. Chelli had me help push some blocks around to open up a hidden room on the bottom level, not far from the overlord's chamber. Found a few more gems and lots of coin. They all show the current king on the face. Chelli didn't notice. I have a bad feeling about this.
