[19:40] <Aurora> Camp's been set after the trials of Bane; the furry-legged fox shifter has her tent pitched and is looking for Fiona and a certain needy skull.
[19:43] <Nemi> And Fiona's not hard to find- the silken sound of steel through air as Fiona continues her usual sword practice, along with occasional brief hisses of exertion- easily heralds her training area. And where she trains, it's almost a certainty that Edmund is there to provide 'encouragement' and 'coaching'.
06[19:44] * Aurora follows the sound, ears twitching a bit. As she approaches, she waves, her tail swishing a bit. "Fiona! I owe your... grandfather, right? I owe him some stuff!"

[19:46] <Aurora> She rolls her eyes. "I'm sorry I Prefer to not over-exert myself before delving into what may be excessive amounts of personal danger. I'd rather save my energy for staying alive."
[19:46] <Nemi> Fiona lowers her sword, mid-swing. A near-bisected dummy lies in tatters before her. She's in but shorts and a bandage-wrap about her chest, the redhead's pale skin and surprising musculature well on display. And she grins at the fox-lady. "Sure, sure. You remember the number, I hope?"
01[19:46] <@SpaceThor> "You use energy to stay alive, weakling. Energy getting strong is less energy spent later."
[19:48] <Aurora> The black-haired shifter lets her eyes wander a bit, smirking. "Yeah, but if your energy spent getting strong makes you tired, and that tiredness gets you killed, well." She shrugs. "Anyway, yeah. Fifty, unless he's giving me even more for 'backtalking'."

[19:50] <Aurora> "I dunno, temptation is sort of my specialty~" She says with a broad, innocent smile; before puffing out her chest a bit.

[19:53] <Aurora> She rolls her eyes, more amused than anything else right now; she stretches a bit, looking at Fiona. "So, guess you'll be watching?~"
[19:55] <Nemi> Fiona smirks and shakes her head. "Sure. Someone needs to make sure you actually /do/ them, right?"
[19:56] <Aurora> "I would never dream of cheating," she says, hand on her heart. "Does your esteemed grandfather consider it more or less proper to do them fully clothed, given your own exercise clothes?"
[19:57] <Nemi> "I wear this because it's too bloody hot around here. Just do whatever's comfy." Fiona glances to Edmund's floaty skull at that.
01[19:57] <@SpaceThor> "Depends on how much you're trying to tempt me."
[20:00] <Aurora> She laughs. "That... I can agree with," she says, stretching and stripping out of her leathers. "They were comfy down in Snowlight, and even alright moving up, but in some places..." She's wearing just a basic shirt and breeches under her leathers--rather tight ones, admittedly--and settles down to start doing the pushups.
[20:00] <Aurora> The economy of them with digitigrade legs is interesting.
01[20:04] <@SpaceThor> The skull watches the pushups intently.
[20:04] <Aurora> She's not got the best technique, but she's honest enough about doing them... though also about showing off, to be honest. She doesn't need to push her rear out that much.
01[20:05] <@SpaceThor> It's really hard to tell where skulls are staring.
[20:06] <Aurora> It's the principle of the matter. And besides, she's more interested in the skull's descendant
[20:10] <Nemi> Fiona's all business, however. She folds her arms. "Poor form. Straighten your back- you'll hurt yourself bending like that. You're nearly doing bridges."
[20:11] <Aurora> Aurora makes a small huff, but corrects herself. Apparently that wasn't what she was hoping for. still, she does the exercises without complaint.
[20:12] <Nemi> "Good. Better." She grins. "You look best doing things the /right/ way, anyway."
[20:16] <Aurora> The shifter pauses for a moment to look up with a smirk. "I'll remember that~" She says, and gets back to it with a renewed vigor; she's not particularly strong, but the girl's got endurance to push through the pain.
01[20:17] <@SpaceThor> Granddad sighs. "Kids today, and their focus on actually doing the forms correctly. I'll never understand it.

[20:18] <Nemi> "Well, if you fuck up your back, you can't fight at your best, granddad. Means you need to heal instead of getting stronger. So less time to party and more time moping in bed."
[20:19] <Aurora> "Though I'm sure if the nurses are good enough, the time in bed won't be moping," she muses.

[20:19] <Nemi> "Granddad, that's because the Wizard made a floating disc for you to ride on. And you had a halberd."

[20:20] <Nemi> "You threw the first one into its mouth."
[20:21] <Aurora> she quirks an eyebrow, pausing again for a breath and some talking. "... You have some amazing stories, don't you?" She muses, before going back to it, working up a good sweat indeed on her pale skin.

[20:22] <Nemi> Fiona nods approvingly as she watches Aurora continue. Probably synchronized with Edmund's nodding approvingly. "How about that time you were with the centaurs out west for a week? THAT one was always hilarious."

01[20:24] <@SpaceThor> "They were pretty impressed with what I was packing though. Told girls that for years."
01[20:26] <@SpaceThor> "Anyway, that whole trip was mostly so the bard could hit on horse girls. Apparently there was some kind of lithograph our wizard was hiding of horse girls and he wanted to see what that was about."
[20:26] <Aurora> "Your party's wizard had a lot of lithographs, didn't he?" She muses, pushing through more pushups, grunting softly as she does.
[20:26] <Nemi> "What was the phrase you used about that bard- 'like a weisswurst through a church door'?" She cackles. "Those horse-girls were /so disappointed/."

[20:28] <Aurora> Aurora laughs a bit at that mental image. "I'm not sure... if I should feel sorry for the bard or not," she notes.
[20:28] <Nemi> "You shouldn't. Man fucked anything he could. Including, if Granddad's to be believed, an earth elemental. Somehow."
[20:28] <Nemi> Fiona grins cheekily at Aurora- ".. And keep going! No breaks! You're halfway there! I wanna see you /shiny/!"
01[20:28] <@SpaceThor> "That fucking earth elemental followed us for years trying to get him to pay to take care of his kid."
[20:30] <Nemi> "I'm still not sure how that even /worked./"
[20:30] <Aurora> "... An earth..." She shakes her head, pushing through more pushups with a grunt. "And I thought *I* was bad," she mutters.
[20:38] <Nemi> "An earth elemental. There's a rock-man out there somewhere wondering where his dad is and why he's so good at singing, I know it."
[20:38] <Nemi> ".. Wonder if he'd made a new music genre.. Rock music? Naah."
01[20:39] <@SpaceThor> "Nobody else knew how he did it either. We told a shaman once and he went mad."
[20:39] <Aurora> "I mean, at least everything I've slept with has been... humanoid," she says. "Mostly." She grunts again, sweat pretty well dripping off of her at this point.
01[20:41] <@SpaceThor> "Keep going, you're nearly finished."
[20:43] <Nemi> Fiona's beaming now. She seems to like seeing the sheen of honest sweat. "You can do it!"
[20:46] <Aurora> Aurora grunts, the air burning in her lungs, but she pushes through it. Sure, her arms are shaking, and her legs feel like they're going to cramp up--the logistics of digitigrade--but she's suffered worse. "Almost... there..."
01[20:46] <@SpaceThor> "Fight through it weakling!" The fire in the skull's eyes burn. "Pain is how you know it's working!"
[20:50] <Nemi> "Five more! You can do it!" Fiona is much more supportive.
[20:51] <Aurora> She grits her teeth and lets out a bubbly laugh. "This doesn't... even hurt that much!" She says, pushing through the last few. "FFf... mmmf... I've had worse~ There!" She holds herself in position fo ra moment, letting the sweat shine and drip, before getting to her feet instead of immediately collapsing.

[20:52] <Nemi> Fiona claps. Sure, that was just one third of her wake-up ritual, but she seems pleased that Aurora managed it.
[20:52] <Aurora> "I will not make a promise I cannot keep," she says, inclining her head. She's not PURPOSEFULLY sassing, and seems to be honest as she stretches. "Wasn't bad, though."
[20:53] <Nemi> "Good! Now do a hundred more, and then two-hundred sit-ups, and a hundred pull-ups, and run for an hour, and.."
[20:56] <Aurora> She stares at Fiona for a moment. "... Maybe I should start off slower," she says. "I'm tough but I *am* much more used to starting the day on my back than on my feet."
[20:59] <Nemi> "I'll start your day on your back," Fiona says, automatically, and then gives a shite-eating grin.

[21:00] <Aurora> "My my~" She returns with a grin just as shit-eating. "I wouldn't be opposed to taking you up on that offer, though the day seems to be ending instead of beginning..."
[21:01] <Nemi> "Then I'll knock you off your feet and we can wake up on your back." Nod nod. So forward. Then again, she IS a lightning bruiser who likes taking targets one-on-one and taking them to the ground..
[21:03] <Aurora> The shifter grins. "Sounds like a fine time; though you may find me more even-footed than you'd think. Shall we?~"
[21:03] <Nemi> Fiona gestures to the inn. "To the fore!"
[21:04] <Nemi> * Fade to black, but one assumes Fiona amply demonstrates her training in Athletics and Endurance.
