  1. J>You take a deep breath enjoying the wonderful smells of nature as you continue your hike.
  2. >Every month or so you need to replace your equipment, vials that need repaired, some personal things as well.
  3. >Not to mention when ever young Applebloom comes to visit do you need to restock your kitchen!
  4. >Silly filly will wind up being a chubby little thing if she isn't careful.
  5. >Easily navigating through the woods you avoid the traps you have set around your home ready for a nice soothing cup of tea.
  6. >Yet as you step into your own domain do you still ear's perking up high into the air.
  7. >Somethings not right here.
  8. >Whispers on the edge of you're hearing warn you from your house.
  9. >Feeling for the sentry totems you had stashed inside you feel your gaze slip away to reveal your home.
  10.
  11. >It's a wreck.
  12. >Oh if those timber wolves broke in again you're going to make more than just masks with their hides!
  13. >Jumping from mask to mask you look around before finding your intruder.
  14. >You nearly drop from the mask in your shock.
  15. >What ever it is, it's huge!
  16. >Near the size of Fluttershy's friend Harry the Bear!
  17. >Squinting you find that it's already asleep, and wounded by the looks of the bandages, wait those are your bandages!
  18. >Cursing to yourself in Zebrian you hold a silent moment for those bandages, they were pure Arabian Silk infused with your own magic!
  19. >Never mind that now, it's time to figure why this great beast lays in your bed.
  20. >You're about to dismiss your sight when it grunts and sc- Dear Teats of the All Mother!
  21. >It's a male!
  22.
  23. >How'd it get so far from it's herd?
  24. >Could it be some new race from afar?
  25. >That wouldn't be true, the Everfree is in the center of Equestria.
  26. >Could have been teleported here, or even lived deep in the interior...
  27. >None the less you could at least help it, it owes you for those bandages at least!
  28.
  29. >Decision made you slip back to your body and shake the nausea away.
  30. >Creeping in carefully to your house you see in the gloom to find the creature where you had left it.
  31. >Maybe involving Twilight and her friends would be wise.
  32. >Yet it's just a male, what h-
  33. >That's when you spy the ax.
  34. >A crude thing built of bone and wood, yet you can sense the sheer amount of kills this weapon has made.
  35. >Some innocent, others not so much, there was even the hint of demon blood mixed among it.
  36. >What could this male have needed to do to be bloodied so?!
  37. >You notice that the ax is close to the hulk's side, most likely in case of ambush.
  38. >Observing a bit closer, you keep your distance none the less.
  39. >Green skin, taunt muscles that bulge with power, small cloth adornments that make your cheeks flush.
  40. >The loin cloth only seems to accent his length!
  41. >Shaking away your lust you look closer, patches of raw hide and cloth cover it's withers, and other vital areas.
  42. >Yet you can see it's hairless chest where it looks as if the Great Mother had carved those delicious abs.
  43. >Biting your lip you move onwards to it's face, it's quite a sight.
  44. >Small tusks jut out from it's maw and a heavy brow adds on to the masculinity of this stallion.
  45. >Small pointed ears and a wild mane of black hair surrounds it's head, drawn back in thick braids adorned with small bone trinkets.
  46. >It almost reminds you of home, though there would be more beads intertwined with the kills made.
  47.
  48. >Your drawn from your musings when there is a clatter of a clay plate from your hoof!
  49. >Before you can blink there is a thud and you're on the ground!
  50. >You can feel the keen edge against your neck as beady red eyes glare at you with sleep exhaustion.
  51. >"Nok ator gora!"
  52. >You try to talk only for it to growl under it's breath as it squeezes your neck.
  53. >Eyes watering you try to do anything to free yourself before you kick out!
  54. >With a simple grunt the stallion merely looks down at your attempted kick before letting you go.
  55. >Collapsing on the ground you quickly slam a hoof into the earth asking for aide.
  56. >Like quicksand the stallion soon sinks to it's waist yelling in surprise.
  57. >Grunting the stallion tries to free himself from the stone that had sunk beneath him to hold him fast.
  58. >You simply grin at the stallion taking a seat yourself.
  59. "Perhaps you require a lesson in respect, before you get wrecked."
  60.
  61. >With a roar the stallion pulls away at the stone holding him and before your eyes you can see his muscles seem to flair in response growing thicker!
  62. >How can this be!?
  63. >The scent of demons begins to grow in the air and you hear the earth groan as it tries to waylay him.
  64. >Hastily you add more power to the bonds and let out a sigh of relief as the strange one sinks deeper into the ground.
  65. >"Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
  66.
  67. >You're on your back.
  68. >Why are you on your back?
  69. >A heavy set of hoofsteps answer you instead.
  70. >Soon you see the thick jawed face of your guest again as he pants heavily.
  71. >Holding your gaze the stallion looks half tempted to throttle you before it starts to chuckle, then breaks into a full gut laugh.
  72. >The rich baritone makes you tingle ever so slightly, but at the expense of your pride.
  73.
  74. >Nose scrunching in confusion you start to say something only for it to clamp it's hand on you're muzzle.
  75. >Frowning you look up at him only for him to point at it's shoulder.
  76. >You look and are alarmed to see the bandages have become soaked!
  77. >The foalish stallion reopened his wounds!
  78. >He makes a question raising an eyebrow before at you.
  79. >What strange customs, does his race greet each other by trying to kill the other?
  80. >Slowly you nod making it grin before it falls down with a thud.
  81. >You need to see Twilight as soon as possible, she might have a book on foreign races…
  82.
  83. >Tightening the bandage around the wound once more you mutter a small plea for help from the elements.
  84. >With a soft glow of green life you nod at seeing the bandage blessed with life helping in the healing.
  85. >”Dabu.”
  86. >Sparing a look at the large stallion you trot around to look over his head frowning.
  87. “You would do well to rest, else I will need to bury a pest!”
  88. >The stallion simply looks at you before letting out another laugh reaching up with his hoof to ruffle your mane.
  89. >You grumble fixing you style before seeing him start to sit up.
  90. >Laying a hoof on him to push him down you can feel the tension of those muscles as he stares at you with an intense look.
  91. “No you fool, rest now or else I'll fetch my tool.”
  92. >The furrowed brow on your companion's face makes your internally curse.
  93. >Of course he wouldn't know Equestrian, perhaps…
  94. “Jina lako nani?”
  95. >It's good to talk in your mother tongue again, if only briefly.
  96. >Yet the big brute still doesn't seem to understand, “Norash, lokra to ru.”
  97. >Fine, then it will just be the basics…
  98. >Placing a hoof on your tuft you slowly say, “Zecora.”
  99. >Moving your hoof to the stallion himself he stares at you and you can see his mouth move around the foreign word, “Racora.”
  100. >Shaking your head you repeat yourself hoof against your chest before gesturing at him
  101. >Like a bright light the idea takes root in his eyes, “Recora!” he exclaims laying a heavy hoof on your wither.
  102. >Not quite, but close enough!
  103. >Nodding to him you watch as he pulls away his bear like hoof and spreads it across his chest, “Anongraka.”
  104. “Anongraka.”
  105. >Rolling the name in your mouth you find rather rolls off the tongue pleasantly before noticing Anongraka nod at you.
  106. “Intruder you maybe, yet we shall see. To help us speak with another, I must speak with my sister from another mister, else it shall be a bother.”
  107. >”Nagra.” Anongrak simply says leaning back with a deep sigh.
  108. >Now that you’ve a better glance over his body you can make out the various scars that line his body, this isn’t the body of a courtesion or even a husband.
  109. >This is the body of a warrior, tested and true.
  110. >A snore interupts your musings drawing you to see that the great oaf had fallen asleep on your couch once more!
  111. >You frown at his sleeping form, not like you rather enjoyed having a couch that didn’t sink in the middle…
  112. >However this does let you get a chance to get away and ask for some help.
  113.
  114. >Leaving your home you soon arrive in Ponyville and find your friend’s castle doors.
  115. >A few knocks later and the door opens.
  116. >Everything seems in order; banners of friendship hanging, Spike the Dragon ducking away, a large purple laser hurtling towards you.
  117. >Amidetidly the last one should have tipped you off you muse laying on the ground with a frown.
  118. >Suddenly a purple horn points at you glowing bright, “Alright imposter you tell me true, what did you do with my friend Zecora!”
  119. “Imposter I am not, surely you would have thought twice before you shot!”
  120. >Struggling to your hooves once more you brush off the dirt that had covered you before being levitated up into the air.
  121. >”Ha! Nice try demon, but I can see your magic swirling around you!”
  122. “Demon I am not, cease this foolishness else I give you a knot!”
  123. >Twilight paws at the ground squinting at you, “Sorry, but I can’t take that risk. If you are Zecora you need something better than just a few rhymes.”
  124. >Of all the foalish things..
  125. >Asking of Wind to grant you aide you feel the elements beckon to your call gathering outside the levitation.
  126. >Throwing out your hoof you send them hurtling towards Twilight smacking her right in the mouth!
  127. >With a click the mare’s jaw snaps up and a muffled yelp comes from her.
  128. >Ha, no-
  129. >Thud.
  130. >After collecting yourself for the third time today from the ground you trot over to Twilight and stick your snout against hers.
  131. “Now that what I say be true, maybe we should speak a few?”
  132. >Coughing Twilight struggles to regain her breath before the first thing out of her mouth is, “S-sorry, I-cough- I had felt a portal form, I couldn’t, I’m sorry Zecora.”
  133. >Sparing her a smile you help her up and nuzzle her side.
  134. “Fret not my friend, a minor issue such as this, cannot a friendship rend.”
  135. >The shy smile Twilight shares with you helps sooth your nerves as you trot into the castle.
  136. >”Zecora! You’re well you! Twilight had said that she felt a demon outside! I didn’t even know that there /were/ demons!” Spike exclaims coming from behind the door.
  137. >”Normally they aren’t the problem thanks to the Celestia Concord and Harmonic energies of our world Spike.” Twilight explains closing the door after her, “Though I felt a portal appear in the Everfree.”
  138. “If you heard of such magic, why have you waited to prevent an event so tragic?”
  139. >”I had to make sure! Not to mention look up anti-demonic spells! Though I did send the guard to sorti and scout out where the portal appeared.”
  140. >Oh dear, it couldn’t be that…
  141. >The smell of brimstone and a foulness reminds you of when you tried to trap Anongraka…
  142. “You found the portals origin, how accurate is your margin?”
  143. >Twilight taps her chin in thought before levitating a few of her spell books from the library, “Somewhere around five hundred meters to fifty or so.”
  144. >If that is true, then, your ears splay down and you clear your throat.
  145. “Twilight I fear that I found whome you seek, yet he might not have such a mean streake.”
  146. >Snorting in suprise Twilight looks at you in suprise, “So that’s why the blast affected you, you were near the demon to begin with!”
  147. >Shaking your head you stop the over eager mare from running out of the castle.
  148. “Listen well for I must speak! Yes he seemed eager of blood to seek, yet he is caring even when I was meek.”
  149. >”He beat you?!” Twilight flaps her wings looking quite flustered.
  150. >Nodding you wave a hoof over yourself.
  151. “Yet here I stand, even stepping hoof here he did not kill I on this land.”
  152. >”If that’s the case...well I had better call the guard off-”
  153. >At that moment the table of friendship suddenly illuminates with power.
  154. >On it a swirling glyph of your own cutiemark appears alongside Twilights!
  155. >”A friendship problem!?”
  156. >It continues to blink, upon closer inspection you recognize where that is, it’s your home!
  157. “Quickly we must go, lest we gain another foe!”
  158. >”You’re right, hang on!” Twilight says before wrapping her wing about your barrel.
  159. >Gritting your teeth you squeeze enough to hear a squeak before the dizzying upside down and inside out feeling rushes through you.
  160.
  161. >The first thing to be heard is the shouts of guards.
  162. >Over the din however is a bloodthirsty roar of rage that responds in kind.
  163. >”Pull back!”
  164. >”Don’t let him grab you!”
  165. >”Rally mares! Tetsudo! Now!”
  166. >”Get the nets!”
  167. >”My leg!”
  168. >You dart ahead hoping to spare further bloodshed bursting onto the scene before your hut.
  169. >There you can see fifteen mares in royal guard armor scattered about, a few holding aloft shields in their magic while their earth pony brethren hold spears glowing silver.
  170. >A couple of mares lay comatose nearby with dented helmets and scrapes.
  171. >In the center of it bleeding from his (reopened!) wounds freely is Anongraka with his axe in hoof.
  172. >He looks no more wounded than before, which bears to mind why does he sound so angry and hurt?
  173. >Upon your arrival both parties seem to freeze in place glancing towards you.
  174. >You start to tell the guards to stand down, for Anongraka to lower his axe.
  175. >Twilight appears just in time for the silence to break as another roar of rage and loathing fills the air!
  176. >From behind the enormous stallion you spot a small guards mare with a black eye driving her spear deep into Anongraka’s side.
  177. >The teats on that mare must be huge
  178. >Yet not a drop of blood falls, instead it looks to have sunken into the great warriors’ side.
  179. >A great clang of metal on metal echoes out as Anongraka’s ax swings into the mare yet the blow is absorbed by her heartgold forged armor.
  180. >Skidding the mare preps for another strike only for the green warrior to grab her spear breaking the shaft with ax in hand.
  181. >Whipping about Anongraka grabs the brave, but foolish mare and bodily tosses her at her companions scattering their formation.
  182. >”Guards! Stand down! Stand Down!” Twilight yells from up high above you coming to land near her troops.
  183. >”Princess! Why? That beast knocked Daisy Chain and Turnip Green out! I don’t even know where Hot Wing’s went from its blow!”
  184. >Ignoring the bickering between soldier and princess you can see Anongraka ready his ax, though his arms seem to shake as if with sickness.
  185. >It’s only when you can see into his eyes that you see why, he’s afraid.
  186. >What could scare a seven foot tall beast of a stallion such as him?
  187. >Yet instead of cowering the steel inside of him refuses to budge and he utters a war cry, “Lok’tar Ogar!”
  188. >No!
  189. >Reaching deep into the earth you ask for help, readily the elements heed your call and a dirt wall raises up between pony and nonpony.
  190. >”Rak gora furt!”
  191. >You get the feeling that was a curse.
  192. >Carefully you step into view holding your hooves far apart.
  193. >Snorting Anongraka regards you with a quick glance and adjusts his ax grip.
  194. “I know you speak not this tongue, but stay your ax before you are hung!”
  195. >For the next few moments you fear that you’d be the one to be executed.
  196. >Yet the warrior lowers his ax and the tension from his frame shudders coming off his battle high.
  197.
  198. >”Zecora, is it safe?” Twilight asks poking her head above the barrier.
  199. >A startled yelp and solid thunk echoes back as Anongraka reacts on instinct swinging his weapon near the princess’ head!
  200. >”He’s after the princess! Mare’s defend your liege!”
  201. >”Stand down Captain! Now!” Twilight shouts back.
  202. >There is a tense moment before you hear the ponies mumble and spears rattle back into place.
  203. >A grunt draws your attention back to Anongraka and find him breathing heavily kneeling down on one knee.
  204. >Drawing closer you gently touch his side and are rewarded with a sharp eyed glance before he seems to relax.
  205. >Seeking what ails him so you reach out with a green hoof seeking his spirit out.
  206. >You are sent reeling back in shock and horror.
  207. >Laced all across his spirit are terrible wounds from the guard’s spear, but how could it?
  208. >Soulsilver was a commonly used metal for dealing with the wicked, yet the most it ever caused was a faint if it struck true to the heart!
  209. >This, this is as if the poor soul here had done great evil in his time, yet despite the demonic taint that lingered in his soul you could feel the true kernel of nobility that all beings have within their hearts.
  210. >Sending encouragement and life towards the warrior you nurture his spirit with your own helping him
  211. >”Zecora I hate to interrupt you, but maybe we should get him inside? Or at least lay him down.” Twilight offers up trotting towards you.
  212. >Coming from your meditation you nod, gently helping up Anongraka as he leans on you comically dwarfing you by his large bulk.
  213. >Yet the crushing weight becomes weightless as Twilight envelopes him with her magic.
  214. >Some grumbling comes from the proud warrior, yet he stays silent before Twilight and you both help him into bed.
