  3. THE ALDIODE
  4. ===========
  5.
  6. This is a theory of supreme qualities. Supreme qualities include metaphysical qualities but they also include psychological qualities. The Aldiode presents these qualities as the General Purpose Plane, which is a multidimensional coordinate system whose dimensions are:
  7. X denotes epistemological value. Negative X is gnostic and positive X is rational.
  8. Y denotes ontological value. Negative Y is empirical and positive Y is normative.
  9. Z denotes agency. Negative Z is introverted and positive Z is extroverted.
  10. Ä denotes exemplarity. Negative Ä is ridiculous and positive Ä is exemplary.
  11. The meanings of the values of the X and Y dimensions aren't documented here. They are metaphysical dimensions but the rest of the dimensions are psychological. The X and Y dimensions are used for formalising the notions of Sensing, Feeling, Thinking and Intuition as popularised by Carl Jung and others.

  19. The General Purpose Plane
  20. -------------------------
  21.
  22. Each location of the General Purpose Plane has an X coordinate and an Y coordinate. This plane has four origins and it repeats itself infinitely in all directions. The locations of the General Purpose Plane are logically related to each other with regards to the sign and unsigned value of each coordinate and sequentially related with regards to the vector sum of each coordinate pair.
  23.
  24.
  25.
  26. Dimension Z: Agency
  27. -------------------
  28.
  29. The values of the Z axis indicate strength of introversion or extroversion. Both are manifestations of agency, that is, the ability to cause things to happen by way of being an agent. The values of the Z axis are:
  30. 0 means agency doesn't manifest
  31. 1 means manifestation is caused by inertia
  32. 2 means manifestation is caused by volition
  33. 3 means manifestation involves personal effort
  34. 4 means manifestation involves collective sacrifice
  35. Negative values of the Z axis mean introversion and positive values mean extroversion.
  36.
  37.
  38.
  39. Dimension Ä: Example
  40. --------------------
  41.
  42. The Ä coordinate indicates the value of a pattern as an example for others. The values of the Ä axis indicate applicatibility of the example so that:
  43. 0 mean not applicable for anyone
  44. 1 means applicable for one person
  45. 2 means applicable for some
  46. 3 means applicable for most
  47. 4 means applicable for everyone
  48. Negative values of the Ä axis mean that the pattern is the opposite of what ought to be imitated.
  49. The opposite of what ought to be imitated isn't necessarily one particular example but could refer to many different examples that don't manifest as one.

  57. Supreme quality 0: Identity
  58. ---------------------------
  59.
  60. Let e be a free variable denoting an event, that is, a pattern of static value.
  61. Every event has coordinates X and Y.
  62. Let e be "actual" if X ≠ 0 and Y ≠ 0.
  63. Let e be "potential" if Y = 0.
  64. Let n(e) output the quantity of e as a number.
  65.
  66.
  67.
  68. Supreme quality 1: Otherness
  69. ----------------------------
  70.
  71. Let all e have coordinates of the form of the ordered set (X,Y,Z,Ä) whose members are natural numbers so that:
  72. |X| < 5,
  73. |Y| < 5,
  74. |Z| < 5,
  75. |Ä| < 5.
  76. Let S(e) be an experience of the self and R(e) be an experience of another.
  77. If the coordinates of S(e) are (X,Y,Z,Ä) the coordinates of R(e) are (-X,-Y,-Z,Ä).
  78. Otherness is symmetrical. Quantity of moral value is preserved.
  79.
  80.
  81.
  82. Supreme quality 2: People
  83. -------------------------
  84.
  85. Let all e have an attribute called "participants". The participants of e are the people who are involved in event e by causing something that effects e.
  86. Let all e have an attribute called "observers". The observers of e are the people who are aware of e.
  87. Let P be a free variable denoting a person.
  88.
  89. Let P → e mean "P causes e to happen".
  90. Let P ⇒ e mean "P intentionally causes e to happen". P ⇒ e includes the following cases:
  91. Let P ⇛ e mean "P makes an effort to cause e".
  92. Let P ⭆ e mean "P inconveniences others to cause e".
  93. Each instance of P ⇒ e is an event that is either masculine or feminine depending on how did P decide to P ⇒ e.
  94. Apparently these forms of causality somehow correlate with absolute value of the Z coordinate so that if Z = 0 then ¬(P → e).
  95.
  96. For any actual event that isn't caused by anyone, Z is positive but agent is undefined.
  97. For any potential event that isn't caused by anyone, Z is negative.
  98.
  99.
  100.
  101. Supreme quality 3: Expression
  102. -----------------------------
  103.
  104. Let x be an object that has a symbolic meaning, that is, an expression.
  105. If Z > 0 for x that has an agent, then x is an event of self-expression.
  106. If such an x is caused by an event e whose Ä isn't 0, the self that is expressed in the event is that of the agent of e, not the agent of x.
  107.
  108.
  109.
  110. Supreme quality 4: Gender
  111. -------------------------
  112.
  113. Let f(P) mean the feminine value of P.
  114. Let m(P) mean the masculine value of P.
  115.
  116. Let the origin of "manifestations" be a self and the origin of "experiences" be an other.
  117. Let c be a free variable denoting a context. Any c is a function.
  118. Let c(e) output e in the context of c so that the output is an object.
  119. Let f(e) output e in the context of manifesting femininity.
  120. Let F(e) output e in the context of experiencing femininity.
  121. Let m(e) output e in the context of manifesting masculinity.
  122. Let M(e) output e in the context of experiencing masculinity.
  123.
  124.
  125.
  126. Supreme quality 5: Gender
  127. -------------------------
  128.
  129. Let f be a free variable denoting a female.
  130. Let m be a free variable denoting a male.
  131. Let F be a free variable denoting a female xxx
  132. Let v(e) output the quality of e as quantity v.
  133. Each P has a social gravity whose strength is v(f(S(e))).
  134. In the absence of other goals people gravitate socially towards each other.
  135. For men: v(f(e)) = -v(m(e))
  136. Explicating dimension Ä decreases femininity of women.
  137.
  138.
  139.
  140. Supreme quality 6: Love
  141. -----------------------
  142.
  143. The quantity of men is n(m).
  144. All men are N(m).
  145. All contexts are N(c).
  146. Let n(M(c)) mean the quantity of masculine contexts.
  147. Let n(M) mean the quantity of masculine selves so that n(M) = min( n(m), n(M(c)) ).
  148. Women are supposed to love men as masculine selves.
  149. If n(M(c)) = 1 then rationality isn't necessary for virtue if virtue is possible in the culture.
  150.
  151. The quantity of women is n(f).
  152. All women are N(f).
  153. Let n(F) mean the quantity of feminine selves so that n(F) = n(f) + n(m).
  154. Masculine behaviour doesn't decrease the femininity of a woman but a masculine self-image does.
  155.
  156.
  157.
  158. Supreme quality 7: Value
  159. ------------------------
  160.
  161. Let A(p) output the absolute value of p as a number.
  162. Let Sub(p) output the subjective value of p as a number.
  163. The input of Sub(p) is P(e) so that P is a person experiencing event e.
  164. P may be substituted by f to examine e as a manifestation of femininity.
  165. P may be substituted by F to examine e as an experience of femininity.
  166. P may be substituted by m to examine e as a manifestation of masculinity.
  167. P may be substituted by M to examine e as an experience of masculinity.
  168. Let p → q mean the consequence of p.
  169.
  170.
  171.
  172. Supreme principles
  173. ------------------
  174.
  175. Survival: For each event e so that M(e → (L(F(e)) > 0)), if f is odd and f < m then L(E) = -A(E).
  176. Homogeny: For each event e
  177.
  178.
  179. if other man is in feminine other's domain then everything he does is minus for male self
  180.
  181.
  182. Principle of survival:
  183. Principle of homogeny: For each event e so that M(e) → (L(F(e)) > 0),
  184.
  185. Principle of homogeny: For each event E so that E = C(M(p)),
  186.
  187. if f is odd and f < m then
  188.
  189. If f is odd and f < m then L(A(x)) = -A(x) for each event E caused by another man
  190.
  191. If the number of effective declarations of the form OF(p) is odd then L(A(x)) = -A(x) for each event caused by OM(p).
  192. The effect of the above rule decrease
  193. This definition of love is intended as descriptive, not as normative.
  194.
  195.
  196.
  197. Hypothetical imperative : Pure evil involves a man behaving like a woman.
  198. Hypothetical alleviation: This doesn't apply to men who are genetically predisposed towards liking trigonometry.
  199. Hypothetical explanation: Pure evil decreases cultural cohesion unless countered by Dynamic Quality. That is to mean, exceptions to the identity of pure evil are unpredictable.
  200.
  201.
  202.
  203. Inductive hypothesis: Rational understanding of any metaphysical attribute besides these two decreases the value of the feminine self for women.
  204.
  205. Conjecture of normative masculinity: For men, the metaphysical sets on the masculine Y axes are defined as extroverted manifestations of the feminine self.
  206.
  207. Conjecture of normative femininity: For women, the metaphysical sets on the feminine Y axes are defined as introverted manifestations of the masculine self.
  208.
  209. Empirical hypothesis: Understanding metaphysics may cause the attainment of a more valuable feminine self for a man than what is available for any woman. Such understanding can only manifest as Dynamic Quality for those who are ignorant of it.
  210.
  211. Taxonomic declaration: These attributes are metaphysical in the sense of belonging to a domain that is the successor of physics. But they aren't properly metaphysical because women can understand them. Therefore they are transcendental but it's more aesthetic to call them supreme.
