93. CW: trauma/violence, psychiatric hospitalization, self harm, alcohol mis-use
94.
95. Iris hails from a very respectful and influential wix family. She studied healing magic with the plans to work with the ill and needed. She married when she was 19 to a man from a similarly respectable family and was set for life most would envy….when she was kidnapped by a cult consumed with an obsession for The Horror. She was tortured into insanity. She was returned home but barely recognized herself or anyone else and was rather violent, resulting in her hospitalization for many months. She was released but has had a difficult relationship with sanity since.
96.

97. After many more hospitalizations (all of which by her husband, against her will), she and her husband split and eventually divorced. She’s now about as functional as she’s been since her captivity and works at as a waitress and volunteers at La Charité. She’s still in and out of the psych ward herself, but she’s decent at healing magic and although she’s in no state to hold down a job healing full time she can help out.
98.

99. Even though she’s barely holding on to the stability in her life Iris is fun to be around. She’s funny, if a bit morbid. She loves fiercely and is incredibly loyal to those who are important to her. She constantly blames herself for the stress and sometimes physical harm she’s unleashed on her loved ones and really wants to be better. She drinks too much, only sleeps if she takes two sleeping pills, and is a bit reckless in a misguided attempt to prove she’s normal again…or maybe feel it herself.

102. Iris needs everything. She’s actually out of her mind but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play with her!
103.

104. * friends:from both before she was taken and after. ideally forgiving people who have a tolerance for the way she can disappear for days at time, or freeze up out of no where, or in the worst case scenario occasional unprovoked violence. she’d have close friends that are familiar with her situation and plenty of causal friends that might just think she’s strange.
105.

106. * lovers: iris has been divorced for quite a few years but she still has feelings for her ex husband and sleeps with him (wanted add soon to come, hit me up!). but she uses sex as a way to feel grounded, she’s flirty even with friends and although she hasn’t successfully done a relationship since she was 19 she has probably tried a few times and has plenty of friends (or enemies) with benefits
107.

108. * others: people at La Charité where she volunteers. those associated with the wix council, she was very close to that world with her husband and family, other wix, etc
