  10. [23:16] clefairiel: hi
  11. [23:17] clefairiel: If you do not mind I have a couple of questions for you
  12. [23:22] benguin: sure! go ahead
  13. [23:23] clefairiel: What was the hardest thing about being a mafia for you in the last game?
  14. [23:23] clefairiel: Another one is, have you taken any notes?
  15. [23:26] benguin: I'd say the hardest thing about being a mafia for me is:
  16.
  17. 1) trying to push the game in a direction that'd be beneficial for wolves whilst appearing to push the game in a direction that'd be beneficial for town and
  18. 2) trying to do (1) in a way that is believably consistent with all my previous actions and "thoughts"
  19. [23:28] benguin: And also, I feel like as wolf, I'm much more careful about my choice of words because I'm worried that what I might say might come off as wolfish. Then I'd get worried because people might think that my posts are wolfy if it seems that my posts appeared to be too carefully worded.
  20. [23:30] benguin: And I don't have notes. I mostly wrote notes as a wolf last game for my own sake because I was having such a hard time fabricating actual thoughts that I needed to see a bigger picture of what was happening in order to come up with believable reads/beliefs/thoughts/etc.
  21. [23:35] clefairiel: I find what you are describing in (1) surprising since it seemed like deliberate strategy how much you were saying you were sussing your other mafias
  22. [23:38] benguin: Stupid question that I haven't asked anyone yet because I'm afraid to sound stupid: what does "sussing" actually mean? xD
  23. [23:38] clefairiel: Oh sorry. It means finding somebody suspicious
  24. [23:38] benguin: gotcha
  25. [23:39] benguin: I recall looking up the term once and found that it's a british verb meaning "to investigate or figure out" which I guess isn't too far off lol
  26. [23:39] clefairiel: I played Town of Salem off and on for about 4 years before I tried TWG, and it's normal to say somebody is "sus" as shorthand for suspicious
  27. [23:39] clefairiel: and I also say "sussing" but I may actually be the only person on FFR that says it
  28. [23:39] clefairiel: I am not sure
  29. [23:40] benguin: I've seen other people say it...I think it's the double s that probably through me off since "suspicious" doesn't have a double s lol
  30. [23:41] clefairiel: Although, I guess spending the whole first day saying roundbox is suspicious, was not necessarily bad since others did not agree with you
  31. [23:42] clefairiel: And you were kind of backed into a corner with voting for raeko
  32. [23:42] clefairiel: But I was just surprised how much of what you did, was mafia on mafia violence. Haha
  33. [23:42] benguin: Funny thing is that I had forgotten that roundbox was even my wolf partner during the first day and only figured out once it was the night afterwards lmfao
  34. [23:42] benguin: And then I was kinda stuck to stick with that lmfao
  35. [23:42] clefairiel: Combined with the idea that you are trying to push things in a good direction for the wolves
  36. [23:43] clefairiel: That actually makes a lot of sense
  37. [23:43] clefairiel: That is funny
  38. [23:43] clefairiel: In Town of Salem they have a little thing on your screen at all times that tells you who is also a mafia, so that helps with that
  39. [23:44] benguin: (brb, gotta put my laptop away and hop on this bus)
  40. [23:44] clefairiel: Ok
  41. [23:51] benguin: Ok, on my phone now :P
  42. [23:51] benguin: And that little thing on the screen seems like a helpful feature xP
