Axel, the Flurry of Dancing Flames, makes his way to this list and has one of the best betrayals there is. In this list, you have probably noticed many betrayals causing something bad to happen. Well, Axel is much different. His betrayal lead to a chain reaction causing the protagonist to actually win in the end of two different Kingdom Hearts games.

In the Kingdom Heart's series, you play as Sora, just the human hero. You go around saving worlds from the invasion of evil creatures known as Heartless. You beat the first big baddy in the first Kingdom Hearts but you find out that it was just a Heartless version of him so many games follow. A new line of enemy appears as Nobodies. A Nobody is what is left behind by those whose hearts have been consumed by Heartless. Nobodies can not feel emotion except for one group who know how to get their hearts back, Organization XIII. Whenever you, as Sora, kill a heartless, a heart enters Kingdom Hearts. Organization XIII attempts to use Kingdom Hearts to have a new heart for themselves.

After the first Kingdom Hearts, you become a nobody yourself. You are actually Roxas and become great friends with Axel.
