- Hey Jon,
- All these years later, Spectaculator is still the greatest ZX emulator on Windows.
- I would love to talk to you about a couple of issues:
- 1. the AVI (video) recording feature, which in my experience
- (i) generates a useless video that plays back with sound but no picture (may depend on codecs etc. but it needs investigating: for example the mainstream multi-platform VLC cannot play these videos);
- (ii) is timed by emulator time and not real time (so I can't boost to 1000% and then turn an RZX game solution into a video, because it will produce a 1000% video -- this should be an option at least).
- 2. the bug where the screen stops updating after a tape load (in certain finicky circumstances): I've mentioned this before and it catches me regularly, but I've never been able to create a reproducible case. I would really love it fixed, but I understand it's only hearsay until I can regularly repro. -- It definitely happens (I've got an old Art Studio 128 snapshot that kicks it off sometimes) but I think we might need some debug assertions in there to actually catch it.
- Well, at least tell me if you are listening.
- Best wishes,
- a hi-quality Spectaculator fan,
