- A million soldiers marched the fields of darkness,
- The year of scriber’s birth defined a line.
- Among them stood the beasts, and gods, and monsters.

- Its waves of venom struck, and burned, and scarred.
- The beast of bloody fury shook the earth,
- And charged to battle, allies following.
- The bard sung triumph, on her strings did play,
- In twirling dance, around a hazy ring,
- Two brothers pointed t’ward the south in anger,
- The Lord transfixed, face wrought in suffering.
