    the girl was born in a more well off family. despite so, the girl never acknowledges her parents finance - thinking it's just more on the numbers rather than anything for her to value about. even if her classmates pointed it out, she brushes it off and completely block them out of her view. anywho, she was born in shanghai, china with four other siblings - two older sisters and one little brother. ever since at a young age, the girl had troubles speaking. she can understand everything anyone says to her but she usually stumbles on her words. it concerned her family and soon went to a doctor. although there was nothing too wrong about her, the doctor did highlight that her speaking a little later than her age can be troubling at times and instructed them to encourage her to chat more with the family. even so, she never did. she didn't think it was nothing wrong about it. she usually wastes her time drawing in her room. yet again, it concerned the family. she was disconnecting from the family more and more. once the girl realized her actions, she felt guilt. it wasn't that she hated them, she just likes being all alone. despite craving for solitude, she forced herself to interact more with her family. one day while hanging out with her siblings, she listened to the radio and instantly fell in love with the voices of jacky cheung and jay chou. though she still had troubles talking.
  yet again, they went to a doctor and this time the doctor had told them that she has 'apraxia of speech' (AOS).
    it become more apparent to her family that the girl has interest in music. she'd always be in the living room, drawing or coloring anything while sitting right beside the radio. heck, all the songs that were put on loop in the radio would always be memorized by the girl. through music, the girl became more chatty. the radio topic wasn't the only thing visible to her family, the girl had shown her parents her arts. they couldn't deny that the girl had a talent for art. everything she drew had a story behind it that intrigued others. sometimes her older sisters would make up stories through it and put the younger siblings to sleep using that very tactic.

       once reaching the age of eight, her family had to move to korea due to business. the girl didn't mind at the sudden announcement of moving. she was the opposite of it. she was excited. ayoung was stuck in her own world of fantasy. every little detail and scenery was stuck in her mind - each having it's own significant difference that stood out for her. a different color per person, a different aura per item - that always what she told her siblings. i guess she's pretty much good at identifying who to trust and who to keep a distance with.
  then puberty hit. everyone soon had hit their 'i want to be cool just so i can have friends' phases. some would act like delinquents, some would brag about their wealth and some would show off their skills. ayoung was one of those kids. what can you say? she was craving friends. she'd show her classmates her book full of paintings and sketches. every time someone compliments her, she'd get even more motivated to draw. but that all stopped.
 everything went downhill when people started building up expectations of the girl. they hoped for more abstract and unique portraits rather then what she would usually do. ayoung instantly hated it and stopped showing everything to her classmates all together. to the students, they may think the girl was acting dramatic or petty but to her, she just wanted to enjoy what she was doing. meeting others' expectation would only be work to her rather than passion.

--the girl identifies herself as an ambivert. there are times where she's super energetic and bubbly, ready to go an adventure and interact with other people. she'd chat around and do shopping or anything honestly. it makes her feel warm in the inside whenever she's around her friends. of course, there are times where she'd rather be in her room and just read. though her family had point out how weird she is. she'd usually be introverted whenever out and extroverted once she comes home.

--despite his cute face and demeanor, his friends can't deny that he acts like the father of the group. he can be pretty strict when training is in session and often scolds his friends as well. the way he speaks at times does come off as a mature man. he did say that the way he talks was influenced by his father, who's a police. the boy is actually independent and rarely relies on anyone else. he is good at guiding others as well, often acting as a leader when needed.

--horrible, horrible puns. yes, he is funny and witty but at times, the dad jokes just comes in and everyone instantly shuts down from laughing. he thinks his dad jokes are funny but it isn't. it never was. his reactions are great though, a living meme. great job, much wow.' my existence is pretty much a meme' - quoting eric nam since he pretty much does have a meme-able life.

❙   ah yes, track and field. it's pretty much a good excuse to not be in class and ayoung took the chance. she went there with a few of her classmates. because she was absolutely clueless and what to do, some stayed back and helped her throughout the training. because of that, the girl was stuck on them like a koala. some friends teased her but other than that, they all had a good time there. one of her classmates then brought her to their neighboring class' group. there, she met with nam yoon-oh. she was already familiar with the boy since they used to be classmates back in elementary school but was never close. they all introduced themselves and got to know each other well. since everyone seemed friendly enough, all of them exchanged numbers and made a group chat. because of that, the two finally officially met each other.
