  1. Back to the workshop.
  2.
  3. With the commission for a ring made by Tragedy herself, and the materials supplied to him, the Minotaur had no reason not to get to work. Deep within his workshop, away from the prying eyes of Aetherius, Illaron had begun. It was a place he could work in secret, and craft his masterpiece in silence.
  4.
  5. Sitting on his desk was a small, dark grey ring. It bore no markings or etchings, and an empty gem set rested upon it's center. It was forged of Arcanium, carefully molded into shape by one of the blacksmiths of the city. It would serve perfectly as a base for what was to come next.
  6.
  7. Illaron picks up the ring and picks up a long needle like tool from his table. Given the material he was working on, it required something just as strong to carve into it. Hence why the pick was crafted with Arcanium, the only material capable of doing so. Illarons mana circuits jump to life, and occultism can be seen flowing from his hand and into the needle, sharpening it even further.
  8.
  9. Illaron begins to engrave a set of runes around the length of the ring. Each one is written in a foreign language, unlike any that was brought over by the Outlanders. It was the language of the Agarthians, picked up by his research in the ruins.
  10.
  11. What seems like hours pass, but eventually the inscription is completed. Illaron lets out a sigh, and puts the ring and the tool down on the table. After a moment, he reaches into a nearby drawer and pulls out a small metal case, engraved with various protective runes. He places the box on the table, and carefully opens it. Immediately the light emitted from what was inside was a dead giveaway to what it was. It was a piece of the divine, a condensed chunk of mana none could compare.
  12.
  13. It was a shard of the spires.
  14.
  15. With a pair of tongs, Illaron carefully lifts the shard up from it's case, and slowly places it within the open setting within the ring. Carefully the prongs are tightened against the shard, and it is shifted properly into the setting. Once it is, the runes carved only moments ago begin to jump to life, emitting a faint blue hue. With that, the ring was finished in a process that took hours to complete. Illaron then places the completed ring into the container, and closes it shut once more. He slips it into his satchel, and heads towards the door.
  16.
  17. All that was left was to present it to Tragedy.
  18. (Illaron)
