- Umm... I suppose I'm trying to post a blog, but as I'm new to this whole 'creepypasta wiki' thing, it'll probably end up in the wrong place... If that happens, I would be happy if someone could relocate it? Thanks.
- Anyways, The main reason I'm here is to further explore the genre of horror, as my own style is typically, in the words of my friend, "whimsically creepy". To explain, I take normalcy and twist it, maintaining the cover of the commonplace while illustrating the true warped nature of the content. Although it's the same genre, the difference couldn't be greater.
- Allow me to compare the genre to weaponry. A knife and machine gun technically serve the same purpose-to inflict harm. And yet, they're more different than night and day. A knife is sharp, carefully crafted and diligently maintained, the kill more personal and delicate. On the other hand, the machine gun is crude and impersonal, spreading gore far and wide. It is difficult to turn this into an art.
- So, to pull this back in before it becomes a long, drawn out essay of my ramblings; I use a sharp knife, my cuts applied with a light hand while I hum a melancholy melody. I come here to learn to wield other weapons, to turn my sloppy creations into an art.
- If anyone has any advice on this, it would be much appreciated.
