(4:48:06 PM) ***Reise is packing some things away in her room on the Serpent when a gentle ping announces the expected arrival of the Lilies' SDF. She smiles--almost giddily--and quickly shuts the drawer fit nearly to bursting with new clothes. Without even waiting for them to finish post-flight checklists she hurriedly sends a message up.
(4:48:34 PM) Reise: [To: Moriko - You're here! How was the trip? Everything going okay? When can I come up or are you guys all coming down or what's up with that?]
(4:50:43 PM) Ikiryo: [From: Moriko - It went mostly fine. Calm at least. Right now we are busy getting everything organized for the show. People will be staying up here mostly. For safety reasons. Still, we'll just be in orbit. Want to meet up in a few hours?]
(4:53:13 PM) Reise: [Do I ever~ I've got a lot to blab about so I hope you're ready to listen 'cause it's been really stupid down here for the last approximately forever since we arrived. And of course if you have any fun stuff to talk about too, feel free, don't let me monopolize everything~]
(4:53:47 PM) Ikiryo: [A few things, yes. I'm looking foward to it.]
(4:58:03 PM) Reise: [Yay~] is her chirpy reply. In person she's practically jumping up and down.
(4:58:28 PM) Ikiryo: [Should I visit in a few hours or will you come up?]
(4:59:21 PM) Reise: [I'll come up, should be able to manage that. It's...not cool down here. At all. And I don't want to risk anything happening to you, for your or Mayu's sakes.]
(4:59:38 PM) Ikiryo: [...thank you. I'll see you soon then~]
(5:00:26 PM) Reise: [Yup!]
(5:05:47 PM) Ikiryo: A few hours later, Reise gets an automated message from the ship. Someone is at the doors, requesting her.
(5:06:32 PM) Reise: Confusion reigns for a moment, and she murmurs to herself that she thought she told Moriko to stay in space. She hits a screen on the wall to see who her caller is.
(5:07:51 PM) Ikiryo: She spots a familar tengu waiting outside the doors. Dark haired and slim...and eleven years old.
(5:08:52 PM) Reise: She sits there in silence for a long moment, then slaps the door release. "Mayu?! What are you doing down here?"
(5:10:39 PM) Ikiryo: "I came to visit! I heard mummy talking about you being down here so Bindy helped me borrow a shuttle. Oh, did you know that Red taught me how to fly a shuttle?"
(5:11:54 PM) Reise: "I--why--but--you shou--" she sputters, running a hand through her hair and over her face. "Does your mother know where you are?!"
(5:13:31 PM) Ikiryo: "Nope! She's busy with communications work so she asked me to play in my room! Then Purple invited us for icecream when she was watching us. We said we'd be just a minute and snuck off when she went to the kitchen!"
(5:18:12 PM) Reise: "I can't believe you managed to sneak past all of them," she half-moans. "C'mon, Squirt, this world is WAY too dangerous for you and Bindy and anyone else to be down on. We need to get you back up right now, kay?"
(5:19:19 PM) Ikiryo: "Aww...but I wanna look at the ship." She pouts at Reise, adorably. "And Bindy is still up in space. We needed someone to disconnect the ship from the docking clamps!"
(5:19:48 PM) Reise: "So you flew down here in a shuttle. All by yourself."
(5:22:42 PM) Ikiryo: "Yep! I hit barely anything!"
(5:25:50 PM) Reise: Almost as if against her will, she chuckles, ruffling Mayu's hair. "I suppose I should at least give you the dime tour of the place. But we have to make it quick and get back to the other ship. I'm super serious about it being not nice down here."
(5:27:06 PM) Ikiryo: Mayu hugs the much taller girl. "Thank you! Umm...don't tell mum about me hitting a demon on the way down?"
(5:30:10 PM) Reise: "...You hit a demon on the way down," she deadpans, then smiles. "Where? What kind?"
(5:31:08 PM) Ikiryo: "She was flying! Doesn't she know that's dangerous? She had pretty wings though. All rainbow-like!"
(5:35:59 PM) Reise: "Huh, well. Could be worse, I guess?" she shrugs. "Anyway, let's start that tour. This is my room; not much to look at 'cause it's just a bunk."
(5:37:08 PM) Ikiryo: "It looks barely big enough for you and my mum to fit in comfortably! I guess you don't have to share rooms with anyone?"
(5:37:59 PM) Reise: "Not for now, no. Though given the rate that Q picks up people at, it might happen some day. We'll see." She tries not to blush at Mayu's frank pairing of herself and Mayu's mother.
(5:41:21 PM) Ikiryo: "Oh, ok! That's good. I like having my own room now! I used to have to share with mum!"
(5:42:08 PM) Reise: She nods as she leads Mayu along, past the other rooms and toward the galley. "It is very nice, isn't it? I was an only child, too, just like you."
(5:45:49 PM) Ikiryo: "Yeah. I kinda wish I had some siblings...but mummy gets sad when I ask about it so I don't ask any more." She hugs Reise.
(5:48:04 PM) Reise: "Well...maybe it'll change some day. You and your mother both deserve to be happy."
(5:49:43 PM) Ikiryo: "Well, she's happier than she was before. She sighs a bit but she's happier." She nods, following reise towards the kitchen.
(5:50:58 PM) Reise: "That's good." She shows Mayu Q South's hidden stash of ice cream. "But you can't tell anyone else about it. It's a secret for you and me, okay?"
(5:54:04 PM) Ikiryo: "The icecream? Or the sighing?"
(5:54:52 PM) Reise: "The ice cream. With your mother's sighing, well...it's probably private stuff for her, so you probably shouldn't tell lots of people about that, either."
(5:57:11 PM) Ikiryo: "Alright. She does it a lot when she looks up pictures of you at work!" She nods, grabbing a bowl and starting to heap an unhealthy amount of icecream into it.
(5:58:26 PM) Reise: "Whoah, easy, easy, you don't want to give yourself a tummyache, now." It's something to say, at least, to cover up the intense embarrassment at Mayu's words. Kids!
(6:00:13 PM) Ikiryo: "I've got a tough tummy, I'll be fine!" She grins, looking at her massive pile of icecream.
