Here's Junko, the brightest ray of sunshine you'll ever come across in your life!

Not. If one were to deeply analyze this little lady's personality, the first thing they'd discover is that she's [i]direct[/i], and oftentimes, [i]rough[/i] in her manner of speech. Calling her self-assertive would be the understatement of the year; chances are that if she wants to ask somebody for something, she will do so right away. If you want to know her opinion on [i]any[/i] given subject? No problem, you won't even have to ask her about it; she will be more than happy to give you a piece of her mind all by herself. If she has a problem with you? Well, yeah, then you'll be the first to know about that as well, and maybe in [i]more[/i] way than one.

With such a direct approach to her daily life, it is no surprise that she utterly despises any process or action that —either naturally or artificially— is long and/or unwieldy. Mentioning the word [i]bureaucracy[/i] is enough to her a pretty bad headache! Don't expect her to be overly fond of people who enjoy or thrive in such an environment, either.

The second thing is that Junko's a [i]very[/i] impatient person. If she wants to do something, chances are she's already doing it! Don't get her wrong, however—this doesn't mean she's stupid, even though that, more often than not, she'll see caution as something unnecessary or as a waste of time; or just as nothing more than unnecessary hesitation about something. This kind of attitude is quite likely to be mistaken as either boldness or recklessness, and frankly... it isn't that far from them.

Thirdly! Junko's not exactly the friendly type. A firm believer of the adage 'people don't mean well until proven otherwise', she's not the type to initiate dialogue with strangers, and probably not more than the [i]absolute[/i] necessary when she has no other choice. If somebody bears with her just enough for her to consider them friends, however, her personality mellows down a little. Girl isn't necessarily a bad a person, it's just that the school of hard knocks has taught her a couple of lessons on interpersonal relationships and has left her in a relatively constant state of distrust.

And then, we have the fact that, unlike most Japanese folk, she's a [i]highly[/i] physical person that both has no regards about personal space and is liable to get violent when feeling stress or distress; she's not the type that's good at keeping her emotions bottled up and more often than not, the easiest way for her to deal with unneeded negativity in her life —even if it's something as inane as her rather thick Kansai accent being mocked— is to just lash out at it in some way, for better or worse.

Lastly, her respect isn't something that can be earned through flaunting of titles or station—it's something thas has to be earned. Junko heavily dislikes show-offs of their position in hopes of getting benefits or to put emphasis on their supposed importance without actual acts to back those claims up. Of course, this has put her at odds with authority more than a couple of times.

The first, very striking thing about Junko's appearance is that her expression has two default states of being; either a cocky grin or a contemptuous scowl. Sure, there's some middle ground between those two, but don't expect to be able to experience it unless you spend a fair time with her, or —for better or worse— manage to elicit a different reaction than those ones.

A true pity, considering that the girl would be fairly pretty if her usual expression didn't come out as derisive or unfriendly. A fine-looking lady of mostly average proportions on her own right, Junko's appearance is boosted by her impressively athletic build. It comes as no surprise that most of her time is spent either outdoors or doing some kind of physical activity.

However, that doesn't mean that Junko has forsaken her feminity; on the contrary, she's a little [s]too[/s] fond of her eyes natural color. That shade of aqua that in the right lightning is crystalline blue has left an imprint on her personal style. From her clothing, to accessories, as well as in her makeup or cosmetics, chances are that a least some amount of the color can be observed. Even her hair —usually a rather light shade of brown— has been dyed into the same colorful hue. Never can have enough of a good thing, right?

[b][font color="35be9d"]Personal History:[/font][/b]
Junko's history begins in a decently temperate—if a little cold morning on January the twentieth, at Osaka's Sumitomo Hospital. It is linked to quite the interesting anecdote as well. Her mother had arrived there the previous day, and her reason was to acompanny her own brother and sister-in-law; the latter had started labor, and that had resulted in the birth of her niece. Call it coincidence, luck, or just plain casuality, but it was only moments after meeting that beautiful baby girl that she started labor as well. Quite the surprise, considering that that had been predicted to happen several days later.

Luckily, and despite the sudden development, Junko was born as a healthy baby. Her tendency to be completely unable to keep quiet for long and an unbridled amount of energy ever since she was small made her a bit of a handful for a single parent, but she was, overall, well-behaved as a children, even if a bit nosy.

It came as no surprise that she was pretty much raised alongside her cousin, considering how the two families' homes were walking distance across each other, and how Aoi's working hours had the habit of extend themselves more than what a young child could realistically bear. A normal routine some time after Junko learned to walk was to just sneak out of her house into her cousin's, spend most of her day there, and return once her mother realized her absence. Sure, the first attempts had been met by a measure of panic, but after a while it had gotten frequent enough one could even call it common event.

Curiosity regarding some unsavory topics was naturally triggered over time, however. Why her cousin-turned-best-friend had two parents, and she had only one? That question was asked for the first time when she was around six, and the answer was... diverting the topic somewhere else; as you might have imagined, the attention of a young child could be refocused with not a lot of effort. No harm, no foul. Besides! That probably meant her father was probably involved in some kind of super secret project she couldn't know about, right? Exciting!

Life was entertaining enough to prevent her from prying further, especially when her aunt and uncle insisted on that being a topic that should be discussed solely between the girl and her mother, so it wasn't like Junko was willing to sacrifice her stays at her cousin's house to talk about something that was being chronically avoided. Life was just too fun at the moment.

Things wouldn't remain that way forever, sadly. The little girl grew, and while she remained pretty much best friends with her cousin, their prospects for life were [i]vastly[/i] different. While Junko had an obvious penchant for traditional physical activities and sports, her cousin was already showing to be very talented at singing and dancing. The two promised each other to be succesful at what they decided to do, and to encourage each other no matter what. That was precisely what caused their eventual separation.

As soon as the two had finished their primary education, her cousin announced that she was moving to Korea in order to pursue her dream and become an idol. Being honest with herself... Junko, much to her dismay, had very mixed feelings about the whole deal; she knew that something like that could happen at any moment, but once the push came to shove, she just felt wholly unprepared. Not only was she losing her best friend; it was almost as if she was losing the sister she never had.

Despite that, Junko was as supportive as she could be. From previous conversations, she was aware of what the idol contract entailed, and how the contact between the two would be reduced to next to nothing as soon as she boarded the plane. Thus, with a heavy heart and a genuine smile on her face, a tearful farewell was bade.

As one would expect, that event was marked a before and an after in Junko's life. She began middle school mostly on her own, even though the biggest turn of her life would begin some time after that; since the young teenager was spending more and more time at her home, Aoi found herself on the receiving end of a heightened inquisitiveness from her daughter's stead. This time, avoiding the latent issue regarding Junko's father got nigh-impossible, and more often than not, that ended in a somewhat heated discussion between mother and daughter and yet [i]another[/i] negative as response.

That situation frustrated Junko greatly; her grades dropped to a barely acceptable level, she became all-around bad-tempered and even slightly violent at the mildest provocation. But most importantly; her curiosity was now fueled by that burning question, and she wouldn't stop until finding the answer, whether her mother liked it or not.

It took the young girl one night of rummaging through her mother's closet when she was too busy with a deadline to come back home on time to find a clue. A direction, and a name. Junko found out that her father was alive, well, and that he was actually a pretty famous local politician. It would be very easy to find him, right?

Yup. It would, even though talking with him was a [i]whole[/i] different story. The guy had already constructed a family way before, and she was no more and no less than the fruit of an affair that her father had no interest paying attention even if he seemed a little too keen on maintaining it —and her— as a secret. Money, and even favors were offered. Reputations had to be kept and all, y'know? After that short and derisive exchange, Junko just felt sickened to her stomach; she wasn't able to properly process what had just happened, but she just felt so nauseated that she told him to not worry about it and left.

The event ignited two parallel events in Juni's life. The first one was that both her behavior and personality took a turn for the worse; she began hanging with the wrong crowd, picking one or two nasty habits, and what had been a mild aggressive behavior morphed into what could almost classified as anger issues. Nothing more than the mildest of provocations was enough to set her off, whether physically or verbally. On the parallel, and in part thanks to Aoi's encouragement, she began to gradually dedicate more time to sports, partially to have a way to channel that anger in a non self-destructive way, and partially because she hadn't forgotten the promise she had made to her cousin.

After ditching most team sports and contact sports due to the girl's aggressive tendencies, the teenager proved that she was quite apt at a few activities, with swimming being the most notable of them. Due to a combination of natural talent and endless hours of practice over the years, she was able not only to participate on national interschool competitions, but also to win a decent share of them. She made sure to work as hard as she could, just so word of her exploits reached the newspapers, and hopefully, her cousin. She had made sure to follow the nascent idol's career closely, and hoped that showing her that she was trying her best as well would serve as encouragement.

A sports scholarship ensured that she could get away from the city where she had lived most of her life, and soon enough she found herself heading towards Tokyo to attend a prestigious high school there. Sadly, both the good and the bad habits she had picked over the years were already ingrained in her personality, and nobody was changing that any time soon. Despite the move, the girl's usual routine hadn't changed much, and if something like that hadn't, then chances were that nothing would, right?

At least for now, everything seemed to be more or less on track.
