Río Miño, 350Km and natural border between Spain and Portugal is its last stretch. When the Romans arrived at the Peninsula they thought that the Miño was a haunted river. They believed that behind him, hidden in the fog, was the end of the Earth (finis terrae), a huge cliff that would send them into the void. Other legends speak of the Xarcos, amphibious beings half man half fish; or of the sorceresses who, if they heard you talking, would come after you, so you had to cross the river with a stone in your mouth.
