  1. Mercenary company that utilizes a military structure.
  2. Emphasizes tactics and versatility.
  3. Embraces technological and alchemical advancements. Early adopter of firearms.
  4. Nice uniforms, red fabric and gold trim. Infantry wear grey steel breastplates over their uniforms. Recon and mage units wear hooded leathers, cavalry and assault units wear heavy armors (usually splint) with an insignia over the heart. Officers wear the infantry armor with an overcoat and hat bearing the company's insignia, both in red with gold trim.
  5. Their words, actions, and appearances are outwardly pleasant and positive, though many suspect sinister intentions lie at the core of the Mutani, and there are many rumors about what those might be.
  6. Pander heavily towards the wealthy and nobles in exchange for "donations".
  7. Run a recruitment campaigns that panders towards the wealthy. Is currently struggling with attracting the magically inclined.
  8. The Mutani 2nd include a moderate-to-light amount of standard education in their training, primarily so people can read "Book Title". The unintentional (perhaps intentional) side-effect of this is an influx of impoverished or uneducated individuals joining simply for the chance to receive an education and a shot at a better life than they have now.
  9. Exist primarily within the Kerengard Coalition, thriving off the city states' need for a stable, unified military. Maintains a few regiments outside of there.
  10. Regiment culture is extremely varied, which causes tension between the regiments themselves. Regiments and squads grow quite close over the course of their careers within the company.
  11. The founding members of the Mutani 2nd (The Founding Five, or the Fellowship of Commanders) are all humans. They're still alive to this day despite the fact that they should be dead. It is unknown how they have done this.
  12. One of the Founding Five have published a book containing advice and knowledge about war, battle, and fighting, done in the form of a combination between technical manual and think-piece.
  13. Sketch things about the Mutani 2nd: The founders claim they did not start the group, only continued a pre-existing group. Nobody has ever heard of the "Mutani 1st" though. Nobody knows the origin of the name "Mutani". The Founding Five are all humans with elongated lifespans. Some believe that cults have formed within some or all of the regiments, in particular one regarding a certain "warrior myth". The Mutani 2nd recruit people as young as 16 on the basis of "they won't see combat until they're 18" There exists rumors that the Mutani 2nd has a division devoted entirely to humanoid experimentation. It is believed that the Mutani wish to seize control of the Kerengard Coalition and turn it all into one big military state.
