BASIC POLITICAL SITUATION
- Vampires aren't public knowledge. There's of course rumors and superstitions, but the average joe doesn't think they are anything more than tall tales. By day Erebonia looks mostly like it does in CS1 - Nobility running the show while Reformists are gaining ground. The *truth* is that the noble houses for centuries have been run by vampires in the shadows. They use members of their family to act as human/public faces of the house, but its the vampires making the decisions. It's considered a high honor for a human noble to be chosen to become a vampire by their family.

- There's a vampire hunter guild in Erebonia, but to help keep them distracted? The nobles will intentionally turn low-level criminals or random people into vampires (often drugging them or hiring a third party vamp to do the job so they don't remember) so they'll cause a havoc and give the impression that the vampire problem is just those people.

- Recently though nobility have been having a power struggle thanks to Osborne. Average person knows him as a very effective political figure, but he's a vamp that's hellbent on taking control of Erebonia for himself. Owns an artifact that lets him go out in daylight, so it's easy for him to pose as human.

- Black Workshop is around and still mysterious, but on this front they're interested in selling weapons/people/stuff to both vampires and people on Osborne's side.

- Vampires exist in other countries, but it's ??? what the situation is other than Liberl, where the vampire problem is much better kept in check largely thanks to Cassius Bright.


VAMPIRE DEETS
- Vampires exist in Erebonia, there's three *typical* varities:
>> "Halflings": First stage of becoming a vampire. Happens when a person near death drinks vampire blood. They have all the basic traits of vampires, except they still age and are all-around typically weaker than full vamp. Easy to spot because they have white hair and red eyes.

>> "Full": Second stage of becoming a vampire. Happens when a halfling first kills a human via blooddrinking. Full vampires stop aging, become stronger and can change their hair/eye color at will so it's easier to pass as human.

>> "Zombie-Vamps" (working title): can be full or halflings, but it's people who didn't handle the sire process well so they are basically either mindless monsters or crazed from bloodlust.

- Halflings tend to look down upon by other vampires because they're weaker and why wouldn't you become a full vamp as soon as possible??

- Vampire bites aren't painful and actually feel really good, but how good depends on how willing the victim is. Repeated feedings from one vamp over time can make the side effects become something of an aphrodisiac (Let us live ok). In some cases, the bite's side effects can become addicting.

- However blood loss is still a real issue from overfeeding, so vampires often have to have multiple humans they feed from or get creative.

- Vampires can feed from animals to survive, but it's not as healthy and can take a toll on them.

- There's a whole underground vampire culture, with a vampire hierarchy of who is in command. The 4 great houses and the royal family are at the top, obviously.

- Being predators, Vampires tend to have predator animal tendencies.


OTHER DEETS
- Magic exists and the Hexen-Clan variety of magic is more common. It basically does whatever the plot needs it to do tbh. Expecto-Make-Shit-Uptos

- Sometimes people are born special abilities. These vary in levels of usefulness. These abilities will grow more powerful if they turn into a vampire.

- "Regeners" are people born with regeneration abilties. Since they can be used as an unlimited blood supply and Regeners are rare, a vampire having one is something of a status symbol. Not much is known about regeners among humans because regeners tend to disappear not long after their power is publically discovered.


CHARACTER DEETS
- Olaf is an infamous vampire hunter known as Craig the Red. Considered one of the best in Erebonia.
- Neihardt is a hunter whose rep is growing fast.
- Angelica is a full vampire with a big harem of women. She loves them all. Became a Full Vamp after she killed her uncle after he did something horrible. Of course Towa is with her and is her favorite.
- Duke Cayenne is a full vampire and full-time scumbag.
- Gideon is the Ancient Aliens guy, except with vampires.
