- 11B-X-1371
- 11B-X-1371 is an early 2015 viral video sent to GadgetZZ.com, the Swedish tech blog that publicized it. The black-and-white segment is two minutes in length; its title came from the plaintext of a base64 string written on the DVD.
- S.V.V.
- Sodalitas Vulturis Volantis, “membership vulture flying,” or, "Brotherhood of the Flying Vulture."
- A type of Alternate Reality Game (ARG) set in the esoteric world of symbols, numerology and cryptic puzzles. I say a type because to me it seems more like a recruiting tool for some kind of cult. These puzzles are loosely based on modern western religious groups, orders, sects and cults such as Kabbalah, Alister Crowley's Thelema, Hellenism, Hermes and other occultist practices. Vultur Volans (the flying vulture), is a name that the Romans gave the constellation Aquila. The name Aquila is Latin for “eagle.” It is now one of the 88 constellations defined by the International Astronomical Union. The constellation was also known as Vultur volans (the flying vulture) to the Romans, not to be confused with Vultur cadens which was their name for Lyra. It is often held to represent the eagle who held Zeus's/Jupiter's thunderbolts in Greco-Roman mythology. Aquila is also associated with the eagle who kidnapped Ganymede, a son of one of the kings of Troy (associated with Aquarius), to Mount Olympus to serve as cup-bearer to the gods.

- The heathen group
- Very little is known about The Heathen Group. We became aware of this group once it was introduced in the credits for Parker Warner Wright's website. The Heathen Group is credited twice there, under Website concept, together with Parker Warner Wright, and under Art direction, design & calligraphy. On the one hand, it confirmed what PWW expressed in a rare interview, back in March 2016, with that he is not working alone. If some believed, at first, that both Brunon Rejewski and The Heathen Group were 'associates' of Parker, the latter —whose name we know is a pseudonym— was very clear, stating they "are not Parker Warner Wright". Therefore, it appears PWW keeps complete control of his work. On the other hand, after researching info about The Heathen Group, we discovered their existence at least online predates PWW's work by 5 years. As a matter of fact, their website was created in November 2010.

- Linux
- Linux is a family of free and open-source software operating systems built around the Linux kernel. Typically, Linux is packaged in a form known as a Linux distribution (or distro for short) for both desktop and server use. https://www.linux.org/
- PHP
- PHP is a server-side scripting language designed for web development but also used as a general-purpose programming language. Originally created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994, the PHP reference implementation is now produced by The PHP Group. PHP originally stood for Personal Home Page, but it now stands for the recursive acronym PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor is widely-used open source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web development and can be embedded into HTML.
- HTML
- Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is the standard markup language for creating web pages and web applications. With Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and JavaScript, it forms a triad of cornerstone technologies for the World Wide Web.[3] Web browsers receive HTML documents from a web server or from local storage and render them into multimedia web pages. HTML describes the structure of a web page semantically and originally included cues for the appearance of the document.
- CSS
- CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. CSS describes how HTML elements are to be displayed on screen, paper, or in other media. CSS saves a lot of work. It can control the layout of multiple web pages all at once.
- PYTHON
- Python is an interpreted high-level programming language for general-purpose programming. Created by Guido van Rossum and first released in 1991, Python has a design philosophy that emphasizes code readability, and a syntax that allows programmers to express concepts in fewer lines of code, notably using significant whitespace. It provides constructs that enable clear programming on both small and large scales.
- Climategate
- The Climatic Research Unit email controversy (also known as "Climategate" began in November 2009 with the hacking of a server at the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia (UEA) by an external attacker, copying thousands of emails and computer files, the Climatic Research Unit documents, to various internet locations several weeks before the Copenhagen Summit on climate change.
- The story was first broken by climate change denialists with columnist James Delingpole popularising the term "Climategate" to describe the controversy. Several people considered climate change "skeptics" argued that the emails showed global warming was a scientific conspiracy, that scientists manipulated climate data and attempted to suppress critics. The CRU rejected this, saying the emails had been taken out of context and merely reflected an honest exchange of ideas.
- Comet Elenin
- Comet C/2010 X1 (Elenin) is an Oort cloud comet discovered by Russian amateur astronomer Leonid Elenin on December 10, 2010, through remote control of the International Scientific Optical Network's robotic observatory near Mayhill in the U.S. state of New Mexico. The discovery was made using the automated asteroids discovery program CoLiTec. At the time of discovery, the comet had an apparent magnitude of 19.5, making it about 150,000 times fainter than can be seen with the naked eye. The discoverer, Leonid Elenin, originally estimated that the comet nucleus was 3–4 km in diameter, but more recent estimates place the pre-breakup size of the comet at 2 km. Comet Elenin started disintegrating in August 2011, and as of mid-October 2011 was not visible even using large ground-based telescopes.
- The Aetherius Society
- The Aetherius Society is an international spiritual organization dedicated to spreading, and acting upon, the teachings of advanced extraterrestrial intelligences. In great compassion, these beings recognize the extent of suffering on Earth and have made countless sacrifices in their mission to help us to create a better world. The Society was founded in the mid-1950s by an Englishman named George King shortly after he was contacted in London by an extraterrestrial intelligence known as “Aetherius”. The main body of the Society’s teachings consists of the wisdom given through the mediumship of Dr King by the Master Aetherius and other advanced intelligences from this world and beyond.
- The single greatest aspect of the Society’s teachings is the importance of selfless service to others. The Society’s motto is: Service is the jewel in the rock of attainment. As well as this, the Society’s beliefs encompass many different subjects, including: Oneness and the Divine Spark within all life; God is all, UFOs and advanced life on other planets, Prayer as a natural way of invoking and radiating spiritual energy, Karma and reincarnation, Yoga philosophy and practice, including yoga breathing and the chanting of mantra, Kundalini, chakras and auras, Spiritual energy and spiritual healing, Psychic powers and intuition, Enlightenment and cosmic consciousness, The Mother Earth as a living Goddess, Holy mountain, Life at other frequencies of vibration, which are also known as other “planes” or “realms”, Ascended Masters The Society does not regard itself as the one and only path to enlightenment or salvation. It maintains that all the great religions are simply different expressions of the one essential timeless reality that is the Divine Source. The Society’s symbol means “God manifesting itself as wisdom”, the left part being an ancient and holy symbol for God, and the triangle on the right being a symbol for wisdom.
- Trisis
- TRISIS is the fifth ever publicly known ICS-tailored malware following STUXNET, HAVEX, BLACKENERGY2,
- and CRASHOVERRIDE. It is the first ever publicly known ICS-tailored malware to target safety instrumented
- systems. For these reasons, it is of significant importance to the ICS community, and it should be analyzed
- fully to capture lessons learned. The malware is not capable of scalable and long-term disruptions or destruction
- nor should there be any hype about the ability to leverage this malware all around the community.
- Attacks on an industrial process that are as specific in nature as TRISIS are considerably difficult to
- repurpose against other sites although the tradecraft does reveal a blueprint to adversaries to replicate the
- effort. However, because SIS are specifically designed and deployed to ensure the safety of the process, environment,
- and human life an assault on one of these systems is bold and unsettling. While fear and hype
- are not appropriate in this situation, this is absolutely an escalation in the types of attacks we see against
- ICS and should not be taken lightly.
- Operation Artemis
- Operation Artemis was a short-term European Union-led UN-authorised military mission to the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the Ituri conflict. ARTEMIS is considered the first military operation led by the EU, the first autonomous EU operation, the first rapid response mission of the EU, first operation outside Europe, first operation applying the principle of the framework nation and first example of "relay operation", conducted in cooperation between the EU and the United Nations. The deployment of EUFOR troops quickly decreased the conflict's intensity. It marked the first autonomous EU military mission outside Europe and an important milestone in development of the European Security and Defence Policy.
- Zero-Day
- A zero-day (also known as 0-day) vulnerability is a computer-software vulnerability that is unknown to those who would be interested in mitigating the vulnerability (including the vendor of the target software). Until the vulnerability is mitigated, hackers can exploit it to adversely affect computer programs, data, additional computers or a network.[1] An exploit directed at a zero-day vulnerability is called a zero-day exploit, or zero-day attack. In the jargon of computer security, "Day Zero" is the day on which the interested party (presumably the vendor of the targeted system) learns of the vulnerability. Up until that day, the vulnerability is known as a zero-day vulnerability. Similarly, an exploitable bug that has been known for thirty days would be called a 30-day vulnerability. Once the vendor learns of the vulnerability, the vendor will usually create patches or advise workarounds to mitigate it. The fewer the days since Day Zero, the higher the chance no fix or mitigation has been developed. Even after a fix is developed, the fewer the days since Day Zero, the higher is the probability that an attack against the afflicted software will be successful, because not every user of that software will have applied the fix. For zero-day exploits, the probability that a user has patched their bugs is zero, so the exploit should always succeed. Zero-day attacks are a severe threat.
- Blueborne malware
- Armis Labs has discovered a new attack vector that targets any device that has Bluetooth capability. This includes mobile, desktop, and IoT — roughly accounting for 8.2 billion devices. All operating systems are susceptible — Android, iOS, Windows, and Linux. Dubbed BlueBorne, it exposes several vulnerabilities in the Bluetooth technology. These vulnerabilities open up the potential to perform an array of malicious attacks.
- HAARP
- HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) was a little-known, yet critically important U.S. military defense project which generated quite a bit of controversy over its alleged weather control capabilities and much more. The project was shuttered by the military in 2013 after attracting large amounts of negative publicity, though HAARP-like research undoubtedly continues in other secret projects. This essay reveals major deception promulgated by those involved to lead the public to believe HAARP was simply a research facility with little practical military value.
- TR-3B

- ElsaGate
- "Elsagate" is a neologism referring to the controversy surrounding supposedly child-friendly videos on YouTube and YouTube Kids which contain themes that are inappropriate for children. Most videos under this classification are notable for presenting content such as violence, sexual situations, fetishes, toilet humor, and as well as dangerous or upsetting situations and activities.
- The Doppler Effect
- The Doppler effect (or the Doppler shift) is the change in frequency or wavelength of a wave for an observer who is moving relative to the wave source. It is named after the Austrian physicist Christian Doppler, who described the phenomenon in 1842.
- The Mobius strip
- It can be realized as a ruled surface. It was discovered independently by the German mathematicians August Ferdinand Möbius and Johann Benedict Listing in 1858. An example of a Möbius strip can be created by taking a paper strip and giving it a half-twist, and then joining the ends of the strip to form a loop.
- Ambigrams
- An ambigram is a word, art form or other symbolic representation whose elements retain meaning when viewed or interpreted from a different direction, perspective, or orientation.
- Anamorphisis
- Anamorphosis is a distorted projection or perspective requiring the viewer to use special devices or occupy a specific vantage point (or both) to reconstitute the image. The word "anamorphosis" is derived from the Greek prefix ana‑, meaning "back" or "again", and the word morphe, meaning "shape" or "form".
- P versus NP
- The P versus NP problem is a major unsolved problem in computer science. It asks whether every problem whose solution can be quickly verified (technically, verified in polynomial time) can also be solved quickly (again, in polynomial time).
- Is Schrodinger’s cat dead or alive?
- Until the box is opened, the cat's state is completely unknown and therefore, the cat is considered to be both alive and dead at the same time until it is observed.
- Deja-vu
- Déjà Vu is a common intuitive experience that has happened to many of us. The expression is derived from the French, meaning "already seen." When it occurs, it seems to spark our memory of a place we have already been, a person we have already seen, or an act we have already done.
- UVB-76
- UVB-76, also known as "The Buzzer", is the nickname given by radio listeners to a shortwave radio station that broadcasts on the frequency 4625 kHz. It broadcasts a short, monotonous About this sound buzz tone (help·info), repeating at a rate of approximately 25 tones per minute, 24 hours per day. Sometimes, the buzzer signal is interrupted and a voice transmission in Russian takes place. The first reports were made of a station on this frequency in 1973.
- Eureka effects
- The eureka effect (also known as the Aha! moment or eureka moment) refers to the common human experience of suddenly understanding a previously incomprehensible problem or concept.
- Mandela effect
- The Mandela effect is the pseudoscientific belief that some differences between one's memories and the real world are caused by changes to past events in the timeline. Many Mandela effect believers believe it is caused by accidental travel between alternate universes, although some others propose that history has been deliberately altered after the fact by malicious extradimensional beings within the same timeline.
- It was named after Nelson Mandela, whom some people erroneously believed to have died in prison in the 1980s. (Instead see Steve BikoWikipedia's W.svg, who did die in prison and even had a movie made about him starring Denzel Washington.) Another common false memory is thinking the title of the children's book series The Berenstain BearsWikipedia's W.svg is spelled as The Berenstein Bears.
- Butterfly effect
- In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.
