[00:26:39] Jack was a bit exhausted from the manual labor of minding the farmlands in Legnsel and setting up his Rune writing shop. He was happy to be done with it though now he could focus his attentions on better mastering his occultism. He journeyed back to the Black Court and spoke with an aide to allow him to monitor his training. Jack went outside and decided that training on the shore would be the best place for him to train.

He sat on the sandy beach and allowed himself to clear his mind. He wanted to become as calm as possible when he attempted to use his occult magic. He meditated and gathered mana within his body to better store the energy he wanted to convert to darkness within his body.

Once he felt ready he stood up following the instructions of the aide he manipulated his mana to prepare to use the first spell in Occultism. Torment a spell that could create a surge of dark magic. It was pretty basic of a spell however starting from the basics was necessary at the level he was at.

[00:40:38] Jack positioned himself in front of the target the application of the spell was simple infuse mana to create darkness and then force the darkness to spread towards the target in an instant. Jack held his fist tightly trying to create darkness with his own power. The aide was very helpful however he told Jack ways to create Darkness without latching on his power to negative emotions. He said that darkness magic isn't just the hatred and anger but he could infuse his magic for another purpose. To destroy his enemies, inherently this intentions isn't bad or negative any soldier would have the mindset of destroying ones foe and latching onto this would allow him better control of his magic.

He listened to the aides words and employed the method he suggested. He gathered his mana and focused on the target that was before him he allowed himself to imagine an obstacle of his that he couldn't overcome and how he would destroy it. Whether or not the emotional connection was strong enough or not he was able to employ the darkness and in a blink the dummy was hit by a quick surge of darkness.

Jack was impressed he was able to use his occult magic without feeling himself slipping. He practiced the same spell multiple times until he felt he could manipulate the magic well enough in its basic form. The aide gave more instruction and spoke that the next spell would be far more trying than the last. He would have to use his darkness to spread corruption around himself.

[00:50:03] While hearing more candid directions form the aid Jack began to get a better grasp of the spell. He would have to infuse his magic around himself causing those he deemed a threat to be attacked by the darkness. This spell was a quite powerful area magic spell Although its range was minor it posses plenty of power. Jack clasped his hands together and concentrated. He didn't really find it hard to release his inhibitions and restraints. As long as he was under the watchful eyes of another magi who studied the Occult.

He allowed his mana to manifest into darkness and spread around him creating a cloak burst of corruption that surrounded him. The feeling he used when using lightning magic was nearly similar to this the feeling of wanting to destroy something with full intentions of doing so made him realize that this magic wasn't as volatile as he once thought.

Jack continued swirling the corrupted power around him until he could no longer hold it. He was able to control his power for once and he felt no signs of he himself being corrupted although he felt as long as he didn't give into his murderous intentions he could someday master this power. Seeing as he was able to freely use the Corruption and torment spell the aide figure they would move on to the next one.

[01:05:10] Jack followed the instructions of the aide and to his surprise he brought with him a rabbit one who had been captured and looked to be used for this sort of practice. Jack didn't feel much remorse for the creature only seeing it as a way to improve upon his skills. The next spell was quite involved in destroying life force. It was the ability to steal life energy from the target and infuse the user with its strength. Also know as the Drain Life Spell. The user could drain the life-force of a foe to recover wounds they sustained while fighting.

The aide implored this would take a bit more malicious intentions than simply wanting to destroy something, He went on to say that the caster had to have the full intentions of either killing or badly harming the person whom this spell was casted on otherwise the effects could cause the casters own life force to be drained. If they felt any remorse or reluctance towards the target less they're own lifeforce healed the target which would cause their darkness to eventually corrupt both caster and target.

Luckily Jack didn't care much for animals he wanted to improve and no feelings of guilt came over him when he saw the rabbit in its cage. He positioned himself and began to craft the spell following the instructions the aide gave him. He focused his magic into draining all the life from the rabbit almost as if he was pulling out its very soul. A tendril of darkness quickly slid its way into the rabbits mouth infusing it self into its body corrupting it until finally Jack could feel its life force draining into him. Small and feeble and barely enough to close a wound. Jack was impressed that the spell worked so well without any errors. He looked into the cage of the rabbit. Its cold lifeless body laid in the cage with a look of torment and fear. Jack chuckled to himself then looked to the aid for the next instructions.

[01:13:14] The aide nodded and began training Jack in the next step of his occultism. He also congratulated Jack for not showing much care to the rabbit if he had such remorse learning these spells would be quite difficult. Jack felt quite more comfortable using his dark magic than he expected it was almost like using his lightning magic now. He thought back to the anger and frustration he had before after trying to find a master to even begin teaching him. He felt confident now in his abilities he was finally able to prove to himself that he could become a soon to be master of the occult.

Jack probably didn't need the aides instruction in using the occultic flames He was quickly able to ignite them without much of a thought seeing how advanced Jack was the aide decided he was ready to learn more advanced spell craft two major spells that allowed a darkness magi better control of their gifts.

The aide told Jack to manipulate his occultic flame to create a shield. This spell was useful indeed because he would be able to reduce the damage he took from incoming attacks of other magi. However he would have to have the skill to increase the density of his mana while also controlling the darkness.

[01:26:09] It took Jack some time to control his mana properly to protect himself. The darkness it self was difficult to make protect anything its only intentions were to kill and destroy. However with much work and time spent on bending the darkness to his will he was able to he was able to form shields that could protect him when he needed. He knew this spell would be useful especially against those who use powerful magic's like Chepi. He would have to continue training and honing his skills if he would use this to defend against such magics though.

He continued to practice making shields from his darkness as well as the other spells he had learned previously. The aide agreed that he would indeed have to continue practicing these spells in order to gain full control of himself before he could overpower his inner darkness.

Jack reached near his limit but he was ready to learn the final spell that the Aide seemed almost reluctant to teach him. It was the final spell which he named as being curse magic. A spell once applied would continually pain the one inflicted by its power, However in order to use such arts one would need to give up their own life force in their blood to apply the curse magic to a victim.

Jack was more than willing to practice curses he figured he needed to learn all the dark arts to better involve himself with its mastery. He reassured the man that there is no need to be restricted while learning to control the occult and he would increase his knowledge in it one way or another.

[01:35:28] Jack rested a while regaining his mana and his back to a comfortable state. He meditated while having himself covered in the occult flames he felt it was better to connect himself with its energies. He awaited the aides return so that he could begin the occultic curse spells ones that he was excited to try.

Once the aide did return he brought with him more rabbits, He said that curses work similarly to the Drain life spell. It worked on manipulating the life stream in a way that would cause it to attack itself. Of course some curses work differently depending how the life stream was manipulated some even capable of causing death or torture.

Jack was interested he thought of the multiple ways he could curse people had he been skilled enough to use it. The aide went on to tell him that using the curse would drain his life force however he could replenish the lost life by quickly using the drain life spell a way to manipulate the life stream and twist it more in the castersfavor.

Jack began writing contemplating curses and applying them to the rabbits. Some would die instantly others would be inflicted with torturous pain which would eventually drive the creature rabbit and warped even with this Jack continued his experimentations with curses. He figured if he could master this power even more he could marry curse magic with his rune writing abilities to create even stronger and lasting curses.

Once both he and the aide felt his goal was achieved the aide excused himself to return back to the courts main halls. He had been more than enough help showing Jack the magic of the occult and guiding him on how to better employ them. Jack wanted to help those who were in his position as well. He felt that he would become a teacher after he was a student that way he could increase the number of occultist who feel shunned or shamed by their peers.

[01:37:06] Seeing as he no longer needed guidance in controlling his dark magic he figured he would continue to train it another day. He would return to Legnsel and complete setting up his home and return to the court another day when Esra was around to delve himself deeper in the darkness that is occultism.

[13:14:50] Jack looks into the book of occultic magic seeing as there were very few instructors around he asked one of their aids to help him do a bit of training. They weren't exactly Occultist or teachers but they could control any outburst of dark magic and were capable enough to assist in any light training.


He nodded allowing the man to follow closely behind him to watch over his training. Jack decided it would be best that they went outside he didn't want to ruin the fine carpets within the hall of the Academy after all. He walked out waving in acknowledgment to Erik and Leo who sat at the table.
