- Corv vs Coco R1
- Corv
- - Hulk jump fast and hit strong
- - Raiden weak
- - I mog unga bunga
- Coco
- - Raiden cuts good
- - Hulk gets cut easy
- - Raiden Blade mode jump fast
- I judge Corv as winning. Raiden can probably cut Hulk, but not all the way through. Outside of a hit straight to the neck, Hulk doesn't die or get incapped immediately. After the inital collision Hulk mogs in 1 or more hits.
- Embrace vs Imade
- R1
- As far as I can see, the debate rests on a few points.
- - Imade argues for Tatsumi and Superman being roughly physically equal and Tatsumi winning with weaponry skill and flight speed
- - Embrace argues for Superman winning because he has superior durability and strength, claiming that Tatsumi can't cut him and he will use heat vision to destroy weapons or directly on Tatsumi
- Imade pre-emptively calls into question the effectiveness of heat vision, and whether or not Superman's flight is actually a speed boost. I believe that it might provide a temporary advantage, but that the halberd can come back and he'll adapt to it before he takes serious damage from it.
- Embrace leans too heavily on the idea of the tier setter, literally just taking whole chunks of the stat post and saying "this is my character". I do however agree that on a first impression, Tatsumi is not as strong or durable as Superman.
- Overall, I lean more towards Imade. His points about Tatsumi's skill, speed and flight are convincing.
- R2
- Embrace starts strong with arguments that Tatsumi is physically weaker (something that I'm already willing to accept after a good Round 1) and arguing Superman's durability above Tatsumi's output. Tatsumi's skill comes under fire, as does his endurance. Heat vision strong, works with heat and force, Tatsumi adaptation bad.
- Overall a good response with some weaknesses. I don't think Superman would ever start a fight by stealthing outside of tackling someone when they're not looking at him.
- Imade begins with scaling to directly compare Tatsumi (Tatsumi>Tatsumi v2>Missiles>Plateau) to Superman. His points about Superman's durability are less convincing to me. Like Embrace said, the tank shell feat literally says it doesn't do a thing to pierce his skin. The crystal feat is kinda dumb, and if Embrace just calls it an outlier, I'd be inclined to agree.
- The points about Tatsumi's armor, the protection it provides, and it's abilities are well done and a breath of fresh air after seeing so much clarification needed about stips in other debates. Imade keeps it clean and concise, and I appreciate it.
- Superman isn't a particularly skilled fighter, Tatsumi could know some karate and still be more skilled than him
- R3.
- New feats for Tatsumi bad. Why is Mine unharmed if she was literally being hit with building/plateau busting missiles
- Wave feats weak, Tatsumi's old armor was just bad
- Embrace's takedown of Imade's arguments are pretty solid. Showing the crystal can affect without piercing, and that it isn't necessarily shown to have pierced in the first place. The skill arguments are decent, but somewhat weak. Yeah, Superman's fighting style usually works out, but like Imade pointed out, it's rarely optimal.
- Frankly there's a great deal going on in these last few comments, so I'll take some very broad strokes to discuss them. Imade reiterates piercing, clarifies his stipulations and argues Tatsumi's physicals. Embrace argues that the ice can't be argued as durable because it's not mentioned in signups, it's in Tatsumi's RT, frankly it's fine.
- Overall, I give Imade the win by a very narrow margin. I do believe Superman is notably stronger and durable enough to resist Tatsumi's strikes, but Tatsumi is faster, more skilled and tactical. Superman is likely to fight in an inefficient and suboptimal way, and although Tatsumi will take a while to harm him, he can eventually beat him down. Both debaters made some goofy arguments (shoutout to IMade's signup saying that Superman's flight speed boost is much better than Tatsumi's, then turning around and saying he's "at least" 10 times faster than running lol)
- Dargoo vs Ame
- R1
- Wonder Woman offense good, Wonder Woman defense good, Echo Echo weak unga bunga, Echo-Echo discs are weak, disc blasts are manageable
- Arguing your opponent is slow in a speed equalized tier (SHUTUPSHUTOPIOSSHUTPOPSHTUPUTPSHUTPIP) and his attacks are telegraphed.
- Wonder Woman gets close and mogs with sword or lasso, because she is Mach 1.5 for reasons???? I'd really appreciate any explanation for where this number came from beyond "WW flies at Mach 3 normally, so equalized she flies at Mach 1.5"
- Meme lasso beats Ben because Truth
- Meanwhile Dargoo starts with
- EE fights at range, WW fights melee, EE strong blasts win eventually, WW can't avoid discs from multiple directions
- Discs > buildings and Ult Humungosaur
- Lasso gets deflected because how do cut through sound same thing with sword and punches
- Speed boost shenanigans
- Echo-Echo defends with his sound, his sound is strong, WW isn't durable enough to take much of it
- Discs surround and blast
- R2
- Ame begins by clarifying the speed boost he materialized from the gaseous droppings of unicorns last round (very cool)
- Echo-Echo's attack is a continuous beam and not a single impact. It's like a shove, not a punch. WW would be knocked away, but he can't focus it on her so it won't hurt her.
- Sound hurts through means other than direct force (it hurty the ears) so it wouldn't scale to Ult Humungosaur. Ame doesn't provide an example of WW withstanding loud sounds after saying this, which I feel would've been good.
- Individual discs are weak, needs all discs over time to do tier relevant damage, WW fast, will never hit long enough to matter
- Ben doesn't shield consistently, the shield is limited in scope, Vilgax scaling is weak
- Speed boost fake, plane scaling bad, even if it does endurance matters
- WW durable
- Dargoo
- What does WW do? Rush, lasso, punch, etc? Pick a lane. Half of these lanes can't break through sound shields.
- Reiteration of how strong the sound is
- New argument that WW doesn't know what Echo Echo does before he fires, and the discs can detach while firing.
- Wonder Woman cna't react to her own movement
- R3
- Literally just feels like Ame copy pasted his R2 and 1 in different configurations
- Basically ran out of steam but Ame wins. WW just needs one direct hit and was argued to be able to get that hit in a couple of ways.
