  1. [08:59:48] Jack stood idle he could tell that this woman was strong not only from her Oscuri linage but a certain vibe just from being around her made him all the more interested in her. However he wasn't exactly sure if he was the woman he had been told to seek and in fact he didn't know if she would even accept his offer. Nevertheless he would muster up the courage by take a deep breath before he spoke.
  2.
  3. " I've been searching for a suitable teacher to teach me. Although I haven't had much luck it seems everyone refers me to either Ceres or a Woman named Rebecca.
  4.
  5. A hint of frustration lines his crimson eyes he was clearly upset about not properly being taught magic although he had figured the very basics of it out mostly on his own since arriving to Agartha.
  6.
  7. " But If you are able would you take me as your apprentice? If you need ask I wish to learn Lighting, Occultism and eventually Necromancy Magic, I've also begun reading to become an effective Rune scribe."
  8.
  9. After he finished his blurb he looked into the Oscuri's eyes. He had been rejected plenty of times and he was pretty much expecting the same results here. However he still had the resolve to learn magic with or without help.

  12.
  13. [09:11:05] God damnit why does everyone think she was a capable tutor!? She struggled to learn the art herself, and yet people assumed the pupil could teach? Okay, maybe she was underselling herself. She was one of the most powerful Necromancers in Agartha.
  14.
  15. And it was easy to spot her within the crowds that she was a necromancer. She had the scent of death and decay upon her body. SO either she was a graverobber, or a necromancer.
  16.
  17. "Because we're the only Necromancers in Agartha besides a man named Drew and another woman who has proven to be a liability more than anything to Valmasia.
  18.
  19.
  20. She let out a sigh. Frustration. As always, there was another trying to become a Necromancer from her. "There's a reason people are reluctant to teach Necromancy. You need to realise that it's not an art for the faint of art and requires a strong faith in the Morninglord. And a strong stomach."
  21.
  22. She pushes up her glasses. "It also takes quite some time to learn and is rife with failure. If you were to become a student, you would need to have the fortitude to push through the hundreds of failures you will create and perform."
  23. (Rebecca Ravenseer)
  24. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  25.
  26. [09:22:44] * You have been awarded 4 Roleplay Points! *
  27. [09:23:31] He listened to the woman's words It was indeed obvious that there were only few necromancers no matter who he asked it seemed she and Ceres were the most capable. He wondered if she spoke of Rilla as being the useless one but he kept that to himself.
  28.
  29. To become her student meant enduring failure? He had failed most his life from being a poor peasant scraping for food to letting those he wanted to protect die in front of him. The only success he had was with using magic and with out a proper education he felt he would eventually end up losing himself to madness anyways. He looked up for a moment starring blankly into the sky thinking about his response. He looked towards the undead bird that sat neatly on the Rebecca's shoulder. He sighed once more not from boredom or discontent only because its how he expressed himself.
  30.
  31. " I have no issue with failure as a means to an end. Its what I learn from my 100 failures that matters. As long as I learn something new each time I fail I won't care. Being successful only lasts until you fail and wanting success so badly that you strive for perfect only means you learn nothing from your failures. If you take me on as your student I will give all my efforts to learn from each mistake I come across and fix them for the next time."
  32.
  33. He pauses for a moment pondering his next few words. It felt less like he was trying to convince her and more like he was making an oath to himself. Granted she'd want to take the responsibility.
  34.
  35. " If I am able to learn the Morninglords art and reclaim those who I have lost and those I will lose. I will feel fulfilled in being one who serves him.
  36.
  37. With that he stood idle again awaiting a response from the Oscuri.
  38. (Jackdaw Rueger)
  39. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  40.
  41. [09:34:22] "Learn from your failures...? No. Not with Necromancy. At the start you do, but Necromancy can be a complete failure without you knowing what you did wrong, or what you did right. Very finicky souls are."
  42.
  43. The oscuri's words were a little strange. Failure was simply that. A failure. Not a mistake or a miscalculation, but failure. Was Necromancy an art worth pursuing if it could be so frustrating to figure out if the failure to raise a body was simply fate, or a poor Necromancer's work?
  44.
  45. "I'm not exactly a teacher, i'll have you know. You can only teach so much theory and practise. Especially when bodies are so scarcely available in peace times.
  46. (Rebecca Ravenseer)

  52. [09:36:39] LOOC - Jackdaw Rueger: [ another Dc smh
  53. [09:40:09] He nods listening to her words he was pretty ignorant of exactly how necromancy works besides raising the dead but he wasn't that afraid of attempting to try. He did think about the scarceness of bodies while in these peace times however he wasn't too concerned as long as he could study the art in earnest he would be fine with eventually applying it when needed.
  54.
  55. " Very well if all I can learn is theories and possibilities I'll accept it as is. I can understand that failing to revive someone would be more of a flat failure than a mistake. However I will listen to your instructions best I can. Even if all I can do is observe."
