- Title: Softly Falls
- A warm summer's evening draws to its end as the elation of the season fades into a cherished memory. Upon a rocky outlook I sat with my friends by my side. We sat and gazed as the last of our youth fell below the horizon. Times this good were rarely had and ahead lay a road of uncertainty and turbulence as we remembered how such freedom could never last. As the sun began to set I captured a feeling in a moment everlasting so that I may look back on it fondly in the midst of strife yet unknown.
- Into the evening we lay beneath the stars and reflected on what can only be seen in retrospect and what lay in store. I hardly remember ever having more intriguing and enthralling conversation as we exhausted the hours of the night. As I went to retire, I returned to the cliff where the evening had began and sat there and truly became in tune with the world and its hidden beauties. How long I remained there I do not know, but as I lay down to sleep, one thing I knew is that while the sun may set, it will always rise again.
