- Carolina braced against the rubble, forcing herself to her feet. She could barely breathe. She could barely move. Her head was swimming and her chest was on fire. Possibly broken ribs, possibly worse. Carolina leaned against the twisted metal and wood, drew her pistol, and aimed with a wavering arm as Baiken drew nearer.
- BANG! Baiken took the bullet out of the air with a flick of her blade.
- "We FOUGHT with you!" Church cried.
- BANG BANG!" Useless.
- "We PROTECTED you!"
- BANG BANG! BANG! Utterly useless.
