+ personality; if there's one word to describe kasai it'd be dramatic. let's not forget about the other 'd' (; which is diva. let's start of for why he's dramatic. if there's one thing that comes to mind when you think of kasai, it's his reactions. they're are always so extra and over dramatic which is why people remember him and laugh, especially when he's on variety shows. he sometimes get hated for his reactions though since people think they're fake and he's just looking for attention but that's far from it. he makes a big deal for things that are really small but in his eyes aren't. for example, if the parting to his hair isn't right, if he gets a paper cut, if he comes .01 second late or early on a dance move, if he trips etc he'll hold his hand to his heart and act as if he's in pain, breathing heavily or whining loudly, making sure everyone knows what happened to him. the way he acts is so dramatic it might as well be a drama which is probably why he's so good at acting.

now let's go on to the other 'd' which is diva. kasai is often known to be a diva when he doesn't get things done the way he wants or simply when he doesn't get something he wants. he'll complain a whole lot, using his signature eye roll to show he's annoyed and still wants it done. if it's not done he'll hold that as a memory and will use it against you for when you want something. the sass and way he teases his members could also proclaim him as a diva. the tease towards his members is only when he wants to show his love towards them as he wants them to know he pays attention to them and wants them to pay attention to him. the sass comes from when someone insults him or his members, when he's roasting someone or when he's replying back with sarcasm. sometimes though he can be a bit blunt and straightforward with his words without realizing. these two d's pretty much sums up 2/3 of kasai.

there's another side of him that he also shows a lot which is his caring and over protective side. though he likes to sass and tease him members he's also really protective and caring of them. he always making sure they're fine, protected from anything and will defend them for his life. if anyone were to hurt them in any way he'd be the first one to step up and deal with them. friends are family to him and no one hurts his family. he must always take care of them first and worries for little things. some proclaim that though he has a baby face this side of his is very manly which he can be.

+ family background; kasai was born in gwanju, south korea as the youngest of two kids. growing up as a kid daehyun was quite spoiled and often got the things he wanted hence why he's a bit of a diva but growing up with loving parents and siblings he also grew up with a loving heart. he had a really good relationship with both his mom and dad but was a bit closer to his mother as his dad was often working but he didn't mind, they still got along well and his dad cared for him just like his mother did. his relationship with his siblings was also the same. his older sister often took care of him as a noona and was always gentle and caring towards him, protecting him whenever his older brother used to pick on him though that's how they showed their love. when kasai was 8 years old his mother had signed him up for acting classes which is why he was featured in cf's as a child though he never got to do tv shows which he wish he could do. when kasai was 12 he found a new passion which was singing. he used to do it randomly but after realizing that it's pretty fun, especially when he sang when playing his guitar and was actually pretty good at it, it grew into a passion. one day he let his sister record him singing "with you" by chris brown on the guitar and uploaded it to youtube, he got a call a few weeks later when he was 17 asking him to train at jyp.

+ trainee life; was a trainee for 3 years, meaning he was only 17 when he got scouted to be a trainee. his trainee life was really hard and stressful as the distance from gwangju to seoul by train was 1 to 2 hours so he'd have to wake up really early to get their on time and it was often still dark out when he had to leave so of course his parents and siblings worried for him. he also wasn't doing good in school because of the lack of sleep and the time management between training and school. the stress was enough to make him think if he should just quit and go back home to his parents. but he decided he wasn't going to give up that easily and let his hard work go to waste. he surrounded himself with other trainees who had the same dream as him. one of those trainees being oh jimin who made his life less stressful. the trainees always helped each other out and were loyal and kind, making his dream a bit easier to reach.

+ how did you meet each other; they met during jimins second year of training. kasai had just joined and after a few weeks of training he was paired up with jimin and another boy trainee to perform a dance duet together. that's when they officially meet and began talking.

when he first met jimin during their trainee days he was absolutely awestruck by her beauty. even though she hadn't debut yet she was amazingly beautiful just like her vocals which he didn't want to admit but was jealous of. he thought she was such an easy going and caring girl as she always made him feel comfortable and took care of him as a noona.
