Corruption Initiators are very specific Pokémon that help you during a PC Pokémon corruption with the Pomeg Glitch Data Corruption (or Glitzer Popping).
They make sure that there will always be a chance for the PC Pokémon you want to corrupt to be corrupted.
In order to be able to corrupt any Pokémon, you need two different corruption initiators.
This paste will describe two pairs of corruption initiators that you can obtain.


- The first one is Unmarked Caterpie and Heart Caterpie, that can be obtained on any Emerald version.

- The second one is Plusle with Growl only and Heart Lickitung, that can be obtained on an Emerald version if trades with a FrLg version are possible.
The procedure for the second pair is faster and requires almost no material.
This second pair of corruption initiators can also be easily traded, which is not the case for Unmarked Caterpie and Heart Caterpie (you need to either use the wireless area to trade them, or turn them into Eggs before trading them)
I recommend going for this pair if you have the material to trade between FrLg and Emerald.

1) Obtain Unmarked Caterpie and Heart Caterpie
Material :
- 6 Chesto, 26 Hondew, and 26 Grepa Berries, at least 13 Pomeg Berries. (Clone them)
- Other Pomeg, Kelpsy,Qualot, Hondew, Grepa, Tamato Berries
- 2 Carbos, 2 Calcium, at least 2 HP Up.
- TM Protect (sold at Lilycove).
- Fluffy Tails, Revives, Poké Balls, Potions.
- If possible, a Cloning Glitch Pokémon and an Invisible Bad Egg.


Procedure :
- Make 6 Pokeblocks with Chesto Berries at Lilycove with the old man. They must be Lv 12 Blue Pokeblocks, with 23 in Feel.
- Get the in-game traded Plusle.
Make him forget every move except Growl.
- Get the in-game traded Horsea. He must have less than 65.536 Exp points. (Lv 40 or lower)
Horsea (and any other Pokemon you'll train for double corruption) must not catch Pokerus during their training.
- If Plusle and Horsea already fought a bit and gained some EVs, use the Pomeg, Kelpsy, Hondew, Grepa, Tamato Berries to put them back at 0 EVs.
- Clone them both to have a safe copy.
- Give 1 HP Up to Horsea. (He'll transform into a Caterpie once corrupted)
- Change Horsea Moves to Waterfall | Protect | Surf | --(Fr)/Return(US)/Hidden Power(Spa)/Dive (Ita)/Return (Ger)/Dive (Jap)
(Having a specific 4th Move is important to make a fast double corruption)
- Save and clone them 6 times. (1 copy in a safe box and 5 copies for the next steps).
- Place the 5 Plusle and 5 Horseas in PC starting from Box 2 Slot 1 with a Plusle-Horsea-Plusle-Horsea-...-Horsea pattern
(a block of 10 Pokemon and Plusle before Horsea as Plusle is the initiator for Horsea's corruption).

- Save, and perform Pomeg Glitch to corrupt the Horsea. (you have 6-7/32 chances to corrupt Horsea's TID).
- Once one of the Horsea became an Egg,  check its summary.
If the Egg doesn't have Pokerus and isn't about to hatch, keep the Egg and save. (its TID was corrupted)
If the Egg has Pokerus, reset and redo the corruption. (PID was corrupted)
(the TID corruption being first is really important because it won't screw up the 4th Move PPs and allw you to make a fast second corruption)
- Save, clone Plusle and Horsea's Egg 5 more time, and display them in the same pattern as earlier.

- Save, and perform Pomeg Glitch again to corrupt an Horsea's Egg. (here it's 6-7/32 chance to get it, as you really can't move that Egg).
- Once a Egg became a Caterpie, save.
- Give him Pomeg, Hondew, and Grepa Berries to put its EVs back at 0.
(they come from Horsea species + Exp since EVs are read on Growth)
- Give him 2 Carbos and 2 Calcium, and save. (Here it is, the first corruption initiator)
That first corruption initiator is referred as unmarked Caterpie.
- Clone the Caterpie 2-3 times.
(at least one copy in a safe box)
- Give the 6 Blue Pokeblocks to another clone
(72=0x48 Beauty, 138=0x8A Feel), and give that clone a Heart marking. (here comes the second corruption initiator, the heart marking allowing you to distinguish both of them easily).
That second corruption initiator is referred as Heart Caterpie.
- Save, and clone these 2 Caterpies (unmarked and Heart) a dozen of times.


2) Obtain Plusle with Growl and Heart Lickitung
Material :
- Some Pomeg, Kelpsy,Qualot, Hondew, Grepa, Tamato Berries
- 1 Calcium.
- 1 Heart Scale
- If possible, a Cloning Glitch Pokémon. (to clone faster)
- The in-game traded Plusle (Fortree, against a Volbeat)
- The in-game traded Lickitung (Route 18, against a Golduck/Slowbro)
- A FrLg version with the national dex, and material to trade between Emerald and FrLg.


For Plusle :
The Plusle with Growl only will replace Unmarked Caterpie. (so if you see "Unmarked Caterpie" in other procedures, you will know which corruption initiator to use).
- Erase all its moves with Lilycove's Move Deleter except Growl.
(Make him learn the move again if he forgot it)
- Clone this Plusle 2-3 times, and keep a copy in safety.

For Lickitung :
The Heart Lickitung will replace Heart Caterpie. (so if you see "Heart Caterpie" in other procedures, you will know which corruption initiator to use).
- Trade it to Emerald.
- Clone Lickitung and deposit a clone in safety.
- Make 6 Pokéblocks with Chesto Berries and with the Old Man. They must be Lv 12 Blue Pokeblocks, with 23 in Feel.
- Give the 6 Pokéblocks to a clone of Lickitung.
- If Lickitung already fought a bit and gained some EVs, use the Pomeg, Kelpsy, Hondew, Grepa, Tamato Berries to put them back at 0 EVs.
- Give one Calcium to Lickitung.
- Mark that Lickitung with a Heart Mark.
- Clone this Heart Lickitung and keep a clone in safety.
