  1. 1. How did the events of the Thessalian Expedition impact your character personally? Did their success/failure change anything?
  2. 2. Has anything changed in their life in the time since?
  3. 3. What do you think of the technological advances picked by the people who made it inside? Or of the compromises made by Vermillion Bird and White Tiger?
  4. 4. Are you still pacted to the same Concept Beast? If so, has your relationship changed? If not, what caused you to split?
  5. 5. Lastly, is there anything in the last campaign that you thought was really good and should be repeated? Or that was pretty bad and I should avoid?
  6.
  7. 1-2) Getting an official Thessalian League pardon for her COMPLETE AND UTTER BULLSHIT gave Rowena a new shot at being a respectable type, and, well, maybe it was time to settle down. So she broke ground on a new settlement, in the desert that she loved more than anything else - a town called Defiance, named after her patron; a place dedicated to the impossible, to the bit of wildness in the human heart that drives them to constantly try and beat the odds.
  8.
  9. But money to build a dream doesn't come from nowhere, and with what little she had that hadn't been seized by the League before her conscription into EGGs quickly drying up, Rowena had to find a new source of funding for her dream town. She first tried her hand at something semi-respectable, silver mining, but quickly realized that with the demand among miners so high, there was another kind of silver that'd be even more profitable to acquire. Liquid silver.
  10.
  11. Liquor, that is.
  12.
  13. So Rowena and her color-shifting stealth flying laser snek started running moonshine from the backwoods of the Virginia territory to the mining towns out West - an operation that was per'aps not strictly legal, in those days when temperance was the word. But temperance never soothed the aches of a day's mining, and so Rowena's little nest egg grew pretty steadily over time. But it was... well, too safe. Too easy. Defiance tugged at her heart, and she knew that she'd have to find a new adventure sooner or later. Fortunately, before she got access to dynamite or started holding up banks again, a telegram came in from the League. There was an expedition to be held, and her presence was, to at least some degree, requested.
  14.
  15. One more job, then.
  16.
  17. On her last run between the Virgina territory and the desert towns, Rowena came across a strange pact beast, unlike anything she'd ever seen before. It had red eyes, grey skin, long floppy feet, and wings like an injun blanket. When she tried to get closer to take a better look, it hissed at her, and then kicked her in the gut, and, well, that simply could not stand. Remington watched, somewhat bemusedly, as Rownena THREW DOWN with the strange monster, wrassled it into submission, and made a pact with it.
  18.
  19. Three days later, after her accounts were settled, Blade was informed that she was to do, well, exactly what she'd been doing with regards to running the budding town of Defiance, and Remington was left behind to lay low for a while and provide light to the city, Rowena boarded one of those new-fangled aeroplanes with her team of pact beast friends, old and new, in tow, on the way to a new adventure.
  20.
  21. 3) Well, Rowena'd never been particularly fussed about any of the new hoodoo that'd come out of the expedition, but she does regularly keep in touch with Alfeo and has been studying with Blade to make some heads or tails, more or less, of the new developments what keep showing up in the papers. She doesn't think computers are ghost boxes any more, at the very least, even if she's still not one hundred percent sure how they work. Magic?
  22.
  23.
  24. 4) Rowena and Lady Defiance are still pacted to each other, and Rowena's still just as dedicated to making Dust Devil Davies the sort of name that gets told in stories from now until just 'bout the end of time, but she's, well, not exactly gone soft or nothin' like that, but she's... shifted focus, more or less. Just because the world around her's changing, with the wild west becoming a little tamer, doesn't mean she has to curl up and fade away. Just means she's gotta find a way to make the world a little more wild, more defiant, right? That'll be enough to keep Lady Defiance at her side, right?
  25.
  26. 5) Uh, my biggest thing was that I was playing a character who didn't GET a lot of of the big plot twist in the first one and the implications/things that came from it which was kind of frustrating. Hopefully that'll be less of an issue this time, since Rowena's been getting lessons from bladebirb. :> I'm also letting Royjibiv sit out this one because a) I used her a lot last time and b) you're already statting out two fakemon and a typeshift for me as is.
