Hey, I recently saw this thread, so I wanted to address this with you. I know it might seem random to a lot of people that you brought this up a year later, but I completely understand the feeling of wanting to just get something off your chest, and since you were cheering against me in the finals, the timing just felt right. Obviously it sucks for me, but I get that.

I actually remember your booth, and going to it last year. I was with some of my friends, and I had just finished up the tournament and I wanted to celebrate and show appreciate for their support so we went into the art alley. I have a lot of respect for artists and after looking at a bunch of the booths, I thought yours was especially cool.

I remember looking through different keychains and charms but I do not remember physically attempting to stop you from packing up. This doesn't sound like something I would do at all either. On this particular point, the best I can say is that if I truly did do this, I'm very sorry, and it was an extremely disrespectful thing to do. I'm sure if that was the case, you must have felt very uncomfortable and I don't wish that on you or anyone. The reason I came to the booth was because your art was quality, not to harass you, so if our experience left you feeling harassed, I'm really sorry.

It sounds like a reasonable thing that my friends from Chile could have been trying to hype me up to you after I had just finished performing in the tournament. We were just absorbed in our good energy, and we might not have realized that we were coming off as obnoxious. While we didn't think we were doing anything wrong from our perspective at the time, I want to again apologize for making you feel this way.

I also wasn't trying to force my way into being allowed to purchase your art. I wasn't sure if I was going to be around tomorrow because Smash 4 was finished, so I did ask if you wouldn't mind giving me a chance to make a few purchases. From my outside perspective, I didn't actually think you'd be heavily opposed to me taking just a few moments to buy some of your art, and I didn't realize how much of an inconvenience it was to you. I did not mean to imply or suggest that my time is more valuable than yours, I just liked your art, and I wanted to buy some. Again, very sorry if this caused you discomfort or frustration. It was not my intention.

I also did not deliberately or maliciously waste time choosing art pieces to purchase. Since I had just won a bunch of money, I wanted to get my friends gifts, so first we were flipping through to the Smash Characters and then we were looking at different pieces which were relevant to us and we kept seeing cool stuff. I also was just trying to say that it would be cool if you had more Smash Prints because your style is great, and you do good work.

At the end, I thanked you because I was grateful you stayed open and let us buy your art. We were probably in such a good mood we didn't recognize that you were upset, and I'm really sorry about that.

All that being said, if you still hate me, that's fine. But this was my attempt to communicate with you. Hopefully, you'll decide to give me another chance though.

My friends weren't trying to be jerks, but sometimes different perspectives make different people see and feel different things in the same situation. They were also Chilean and didn't really speak English. So there may be some miscommunication.

Thanks for hearing me out at least though. It sucks that a lot of people are going to form opinions of me just based off this story without hearing my side, but I don't think that was actually your intention, and I hope we can put it behind us. Maybe if I see you next EVO, I can buy some more of your art BEFORE you're closing up the booth.
