Reasoning: Fon, Yun. Both SSJ achievers. Now saiyans have come to invade on their "peace". Many days Chara has trained through harsh conditions to try and attain it herself. She wanted to be like Fon. She's seen too many people die or on the brink of death and not a hint of power coming to arise over her like that day she had the same feeling against the Sin. She was getting to the point that it was coming off as worthless training. But maybe the day wasn't right for her to become a Super Saiyan. The Gods weren't allowing it just yet.

Moment: After seeing Yun gain Super Saiyan for herself surprisingly without a hint of training, seeing the Saiyan leave after beating up on Yon and the others, David aimed to attack Chara with serious intent. It was difficult for her to comprehend his reason why for doing this. She only did what any other Saiyan would do and fight their best. However, she couldn't exactly get David down to his breaking point. He was too strong. The days where she would win constantly were over and the humans were just extending in power while Chara stayed behind. This is what she thought when she was defeated in such little time.

She ached for progress.

TL;DR: David aimed to fight and crush Chara only because he thought she was a waste of power. After being defeated so easily, she almost thought he was right.
