❥ PERSONALITY :: Shay is a very...odd person. In a good way, of course. She's very spontaneous, which is something you immediately notice when you first meet her. She tends to get close to people she first meets, acting as if they're casual friends so nothing awkward will happen. She'll often start making stupid jokes with anyone, which her friends are embarrassed of.

"Shay, no."
Shay warms up to people quickly, yet others can break her trust quickly. She's very loyal as long as everyone else returns the favor. She's also super supportive and open to anything, so if it's risky and will probably get her in trouble, she's all for it.

If Shay gets bored, you won't hear the end of her whining. She'll start acting like a child, tugging on her friends to get them to do things with her, and being extremely melodramatic. She'll pretend like the world is ending, and when she finally gets her way, she's the happiest person alive. Shay usually gets her way by acting cute, a weakness of everyone who knows her. The second she puts on her puppy eyes or talks in a childish voice, someone is bound to do whatever she asks.
Shay is considered mainstream by almost all of her friends, since she's always keeping up with the latest trends. She hates being called basic, though, so she likes to spice things up by putting her own creative twists into the trends she likes. But one trend she hates? Wavy eyebrows. She'd rather have something stuck up her ass, then try those.
Anything, and I mean anything, can and will be used against you when you're with Shay. She's naturally blunt, so it causes her to be savage. If you say something stupid, she'll say something about it. If you're wrong about something, she'll elaborate on how stupid you are. If you attempt to try and diss her, you should already know you're gonna lose. She'll say what's on her mind at any given time, so watch out.
Even though she's savage, Shay is actually really sweet. She'll listen to anyone's problems and give the best advice she can, since she doesn't mind helping people out when they really need it. She's selfless, always wanting to make sure that her friends are genuinely happy. She's a fun friend to have, even if she's a lot to handle.

❥ BACKGROUND :: Shay lived in LA, for most of her life. Her father was an astrophysicist, while her mother was a stay at home mom.
At a young age, Shay was taught about astrophysics by her father, and a royal but humble life by her mother. Shay's favorite thing about astrology was reading the stars, which she worked on for a while.
Then Shay's dad died in a car accident, which shattered her world. However, she never let it effect her since her mother quickly packed up and left for Vellichor. At 10 years old, Shay and her mother went to royal living. Shay was taught even more about royalty, yet was still more interested in constellations.
Shay and her mother grew a bit apart, but they still have respect for each other. Shay still reads the stars in order to stay close with her father, and wonders often what kind of prince she'll find.

× Shay » she was pretty damn startled when he tumbled through a hole and onto the roof, all of a sudden. But she thought he was lucky that he had a gorgeous smile or else she would've called her officials.

× Jaemin » the second he saw her, he knew he was in for it. the prettiest girl he's ever seen, and he just almost gave her a heart attack for scaring her so badly. "so much for a first impression," was his first thought.

❥ HOW YOU MET :: Shay had snuck out in the middle of the night after bribing one of the palace guards (they're besties) and headed to the nearest tall building in the kingdom. After laying down at the roof, staring at the stars for a few minutes, Shay heard whirring.
She sat up and looked around, then saw what looked like a mini hole, appearing in midair. Then out tumbled a messy haired boy, who was none other than Prince Jaemin of Kingdom (whatever kindom he's from lmao).
Jaemin started apologizing profusely, but stopped himself because of Shay's nonchalant gaze on him. She dismissed everything by saying, "come watch the stars with me."

❥ HOW HE CONFESSED :: It was super awkward, actually. He had a whole speech planned out in his head, but he ended up having clammy hands and said, "me likey face. no, w a i t—" but Shay came to the rescue by punching him in the shoulder, which made him spout out an "I like you a lot please date me"



❥ RELATIONSHIP TIMELINE ::

× start / Jaemin was fascinated with Shay and her ability to read constellations so well. Shay stayed cautious around him, yet she didn't know why. They both kept their respective distance, but considered themselves acquaintances.

× middle / Jaemin and Shay eventually got closer, and started to sneak out every night to go look at the stars. They talked with each other about anything, and it seemed they never ran out of things to converse about. Both Shay and Jaemin started to develop feelings for each other, but were too shy to dwell on the thought much.

× end / Shay and Jaemin are tired of staying just best friends (of course neither of them have said anything). Shay wishes she'd be confident enough to make a move, and Jaemin wishes someone would do something to get this over with. He ends up confessing, of course, to which Shay happily accepts.
