Minji was born in jeju, south korea and moved to Hong Kong when she was 3 which is why she has no memory of Korea. She grew up speaking Korean with her family and Chinese, along with Cantonese, with her friends. Her school was popular, in a bad way. They were infamous for having bad behaved students and unfortunately , soorin was one of them. It was mainly because of peer pressure and she wanted to fit in with the cool kids, so she joined a gang. She and her gang would constantly pick fights with other school gangs and bully the "nerds" in her own school. Even though she knew it was wrong, she didn't dare to say anything in fear of getting bullied too. One day, she and her gang picked a fight with another infamous school, but this time the fight was intense. She suffered a broken nose and many many injuries which landed her in the hospital. After she was discharged, she was immediately arrested along with her gang mates. She was in jail for 5 years, and she was only 12 at the time she was arrested. She remembered the worried faces of her family and the looks of disapproval from her relatives. It made her angry and disappointed with herself and after she was released, she vowed to never go back to this sort of activities. She even contacted the people she bullied and apologised to them. Some accepted her apology, some didn't. She went home crying when she was released and she still remembers when her brother would comfort her and lend her a shoulder to cry on. From then on, she turned over a new leaf. She studied hard for her tests and tried to stay out of trouble this time, she also tried not to bring up her past. Much to her surprise, she got accepted into the college she wanted to go to (which was in Korea). Although she was quite reluctant to leave her family and friends, they supported her and she soon, moved to Korea by herself.

Out of all her friends, she is the most serious and always making sure everything is alright. She's what you call "the designated driver" at parties. Despite being serious almost all the time, she can be fun sometimes, cracking jokes, making puns and overall trying to make her friends laugh. She's probably the mom of the group even though she isn't the oldest, always making sure that everyone is safe healthy. She gets super worried when they're not and would probably ask you "do you need anything" a million times and she freaks out over the smallest of things. She's also a disciplined girl and does her work meticulously.

Contrary to Minji's personality, Hyunjin isn't a very serious person and loves to have fun. He's a very caring and dorky guy which was mainly what made Minji fall for him. He's always trying to make others laugh and smile by doing things that maybe he himself doesn't like, but what's important to him is that the other person smiles.

They're the really chill and cheesy couple. Hyunjin would make cheesy jokes and instead of blushing, Minji would tell him a cheesy joke too, making them both burst out laughing. Hyunjin is the only one that can take away Minji's seriousness in situations and she's usually not so stressed around him. Minji isn't a big fan of public affection so Hyunjin respects that and they only hold hands in public.

She thinks of him as a very kind, cute, caring and funny guy who always knows how to make her laugh. Usually she's a very serious girl but Hyunjin takes away all the seriousness.
