BACKGROUND :
    ¤ sojin was born in melbourne, australia, to a korean father, and an australian mother. she was their second child, being born three years after her older brother, hyunwoo. she lived in australia for about a year, before moving back to korea with her parents. moving back to korea, her parents moved into the house across the street from a nice family, who had a son who was only slightly older than sojin. of course, the two families were quick to become friends with each other, often inviting each other over for family gatherings. sojin was raised from a young age to always be positive, and to always smile, because her parents had told her that seeing other people smile actually makes people feel better. after that, sojin, decided that she didn't want to see other people sad, which is why she started to wear a smile on her face all the time. she quickly became close with the neighbour's son, the pair of them becoming partners in crime, despite their slight age difference. however, when sojin was eleven, her father was diagnosed with cancer, and later passed away shortly before she turned thirteen. after his death, her mother deiced to pick up sojin and her brother, and move them back to australia where her family was still living. sojin was forced to leave her best friend behind, loosing all contact with him after a  while. being in australia was what sparked her interest in fashion. sure, she'd always had an interest in it even from a young age, playing dress-ups with her mother's clothes, but this was when she began to start sketching designs. she would often go and sit on the balcony of their apartment on the second floor in the city and watch the people that walked past, taking in the clothes and accessories they wore. she was seventeen when she released her first collection, after spending a year working on in on top of her school studies. after that, she released another few winter collections, with the help of some of her mother's connections. when she was nineteen, she returned to korea again, just before releasing another collection over there. she's been living on her own in korea ever since, as her mother is looking after her own parents, and her brother is currently attending university in australia, with intentions of becoming an engineer of some sort.

PERSONALITY :
    ¤ as a child, sojin was always extremely polite, and never let anyone feel left out. she was the type of person to try and be friends with everybody, even though people often used her to get things. people often used to steal her food, because she offered it. people also had a habit of teasing her for her short height, because the other kids always used to tour over her. however, despite this, sojin was determined to never let this bother her. growing up, she'd always been a glass half full type of person, who always saw the best in everyone and likes to look on the bright side of things. despite being teased, she never retaliated in any way, shape or form, and continued to be nice to other people. because of this, she could sometimes be considered a bit naive, as people often had the chance to take advantage of her (which would only lead to her older brother marching in and pretending to look all intimidating and trying to threaten everyone off his younger sister). she was kind and polite by nature, having been brought up in an environment to see the best in the world and appreciate what you have. sojin is extremely protective of those closest to her, particularly people younger than her. she has an obsession with young kids, and has always loved working with them, originally wanting to be a teacher. she is always looking after people, and constantly putting other people first. even if she is extremely sick, her first thought will still be of the other people around her. she is an extremely selfless person, to the point where it can be considered a flaw, because she will give up the things she loves most if it means someone else will be happy. she isn't really shy, due to the fact that her job means that she has to work with a lot of different people, but she isn't exactly overly talkative. she can be a bit of a perfectionist sometimes, particularly when it comes to her fashion designs, and if she is in 'the zone' it will be extremely difficult for you to snap her out of her thoughts. for her, everything has to be in the exact right spot, otherwise she will not be able to stand it. if a sequin is so much as a centimetre too far to the left, or a scarf is not being worn the way she wants it or a zip not being zipped up, she will jump up and hurry to fix it. she has an extremely messed up sleeping pattern, which comes from staying up until ungodly hours of the morning sketching or binge watching DESCENDANTS OF THE SUN, and is the type of person who could probably pull three all nighters in a row and then sleep for two days straight afterwards. she is not, however, lazy in the slightest, and is extremely hardworking and determined to reach her goals (she can also be slightly competitive at times to, but not that often). she is known to talk very fast when she is at any of her shows, and could probably give an auctioneer a run for their money with the way she talks, making sure that everyone is doing their job.

    ¤ HONEY.      - sojin was the first person to call him this when she was really little, mostly because she couldn't pronounce his full name, and it kind of stuck
    ¤ SQUISHY.    - no one really knows where it came from or who started calling him it, but it stuck (rumour has it that sojin started it, but no one can really remember)
    ¤ TEDDY BEAR. - sojin used to call him this because he could sometimes be a bit scary with the way he held himself, but around her he was cute and squishy, a bit like a teddy bear.
    ¤ CUTIE CAKE. - again, sojin is the only one who can get away with calling him this (if anyone else tries he will glare at them). she started calling him this when she was three, because everyone kept calling her 'CUTIE PIE' and she decided that he needed a nickname like that as well, and started calling him 'CUTIE CAKE'.

PERSONALITY :
    ¤ he has a bit of an odd image for an idol, due to the fact that he's meant to have a sexy sort of image, to go along with all of his stage charisma and rapping skills. however, he's honestly just a big dork, and surprisingly has no problems doing aegyo for fans. he is extremely caring, and not nearly as scary as his image appears to make him. he's a total sweetheart, and has a massive soft spot for those closest to him (particularly sojin).

STORIES FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD :
    ¤ they were always pushed to hang out tougher when they were babies, since they were close to the same age, and they were some of the only kids at their parents' family gatherings (excluding sojin's older brother, and all the other older kids). their parents often thought they were really cute together, and secretly had bets one whether the pair were going to get married (sojin's mother insisted they would).
    ¤ sojin once refused to speak to him for a week because he accidentally ripped her pretty new dress while they were playing at the park. he went to say sorry to her, and picked a bunch of daisies from the garden across the street, but the whole things backfired because that was when he found out she was allergic to them because she kept sneezing.
    ¤ he would sometimes let her dress him up and go through his entire wardrobe (in fact, she picked out his outfit for his very first date). however, he always makes her swear not to tell anyone about it.
    ¤ she always used to scream 'TEDDY BEAR' really loudly before running up to him and jumping on him when they were kids, and didn't stop until she was ten years old. their parents thought the whole thing was adorable.

GAMES YOU PLAYED WHEN YOU WERE CHILDREN :
    ¤ HIDE & SEEK. - this didn't usually end well though, because they often got annoyed when they could find the other
    ¤ WII SPORTS.  - they used to play wii games a lot, and sojin would always get majorly competitive

HOW YOU GUYS FELL OUT/DISCONNECTED :
    ¤ they fell out after sojin moved back to australia with her mother when her father passed away. at the time, he was fifteen, and sojin was only thirteen. this was around the same time that he started getting into rapping, and he'd been spending a lot more of his time rapping instead of hanging out with her. however, she didn't really mind, since she was leaving anyway, and kind of waited until the last possible minute to actually tell him that she was moving back to australia. when he did find out, he kind of just hugged her and did not want to let go, because despite everything, she was his best friend and he did not want to lose her. he came to the airport with her and they kind of just stood there hugging each other for ages, until sojin's mother had to come and pull them apart otherwise they'd have missed the plane. sojin promised to keep in touch with him, but this was also around the time that he was accepted into the entertainment company. with his now demanding schedule, he wasn't able to keep in contact with her as much as he'd have liked to, and eventually all contact stopped completely.

HOW YOU TWO MEET/REUNITE FOR THE SHOW :
    ¤ they didn't meet before the filming for the first episode, and were kind of nervous about seeing each other again after all these years. he was freaking out and trying to find a way to be romantic, but she happened to turn up halfway through his plans, so he didn't have enough time to come up with anything. they kind of just awkwardly walk down the street, making small talk, and catching up on stuff (but it's all awkward like "so how've been with your career?" and "good. and you? i heard your new songs"). eventually, it's kind of just an awkward silence, until sojin spots a pet store nearby, and starts looking at the puppy in the window, falling completely in love with it, and going inside to have a look. seeing how much she loves the puppy, he decides to buy it for her, despite her weak protests against it. eventually she gives in, after a lot of crying because "it's one of the sweetest things anyone's ever done for her" and "he's so cute oh my god thank you so much". sojin then decides to name the puppy 'HONEY', claiming that now she'll think of her love interest whenever she plays with the puppy. and after that they're not so awkward any more.

YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH ONE ANOTHER :
    ¤ BEG | they're kind of awkward around each other at the beginning, since they haven't spoken in ages, and they both want to be friends again like they were before, but they kind of don't know how to approach each other. things sort of get better once he buys her a puppy, and they slowly start to ease back in their old friendship, and talk to each other again. things are still sort of awkward, though, because it has been a long time since they spoke, and a lot has happened, so they're kind of treading in shallow waters at first.
    ¤ MID | towards the middle, things are a lot better, and they're pretty much back to their old friendship, to the point where sojin can pretty much convince him to do anything for her (because despite his cold outside persona, the boy is totally whipped for her). he's honestly starting to question some of his feelings for her, but she's kind of totally oblivious towards it, because she's too busy focusing on her own feelings (because hey, she might actually like him and that's kind of terrifying because she hasn't had a boyfriend since she was sixteen).
    ¤ END | they're in some sort of awkward stage where there's sexual tension (and his group mates all pick up on it and start teasing him about it). however, they both try and act normal, with sojin always hugging him and/or pinching his cheeks (they're actually quite well known for their skinship). they're both really close, and kind of have this thing going on where they sort of act as if they're dating but they're not actually dating, if you get what i mean. they get teased a lot about their relationship, mostly just from his group members who come to visit them regularly, which kind of makes sojin flustered, but she tries to pull it off cooly by rolling her eyes.
