  1. A faint sighing sound trails after you, lingering in the air for a brief moment.
  2.
  3. Elexia looks to her left and to her right, her face attentive and inquisitive. Her pointed ears twitch to catch any further sounds.
  4.
  5. Elexia places her notebook into her satchel, along with her quill. In its stead, she takes up her violin.
  6.
  7. Elexia begins to play a comely, autumn tune, drawing her violin across the bow in a song which evokes the harvest and changing of the leaves. She opens her lips to sing, but the resulting song is wordless melody.
  8.
  9. The air stirs softly, seeming to swirl in time with the movements of your playing sending several leaves up into the air.
  10.
  11. Although Elexia's eyes are closed as she weaves the song, her pointed ears swivel slightly as the breeze passes through and the leaves begin to be pulled aloft by it. She opens her eyes a sliver to watch the playful dance of the leaves, then closes them to resume her playing. As the song continues, it grows slower and more somber, calling to mind the slow descent of the Wood into the lull of winter. She sways gently with the tune.
  12.
  13. The gentle breeze slows in pace with your melody as faint currents of power slowly circle you, pinpricks of energy that seem to move with you as if following, but then guiding your song.
  14.
  15. Although she seems reluctant at first to open her eyes, perhaps for fear of disturbing the quiet dance of the spirits upon the leaves with her watching, Elexia opens them as the pinpricks begin to dance over her skin in a spiral of palpable power. She continues her melody for a moment more, but then cedes its control, her fingers seeming to draw the bow almost of their own accord. She glances to the right, then to the left, seeming wholly at peace with whatever or whoever is with her.
  16.
  17. You think to yourself: I feel as if I am being led along, to something new. They've listened to me so many times before, when I asked them to come, to shield, to curse. Let us see what we shall weave together.
  18.
  19. The song continues in much the same manner as it had before, but then a discordant note interrupts the melody. Then another. Finally, it stops entirely, your hand held in place by another - its skin gray and cracked and choked with twisting, emerald vines. It draws your hand down along the instrument slowly, causing it to ring with a slow, uncomfortable note. The night seems to grow darker as the forest at the edge of your vision disappears into shadow. Then, nothing, and you are once more alone among the trees, and the wind, and the spirits.
  20.
  21. Elexia's dream-like peace fades instantly as she sees the gray hand seize her own. A gasp is barely able to leave her lips before the shrieking chord causes her to flinch and pull her shoulders inward. She looks about her with wild eyes as the night seems to creep in around her, the forest fading away into utter darkness in spite of the struggling light of the Crescent Moon. For a few moments after the note fades, the faeling remains frozen. Then, the faeling heaves a single, deep sigh. She closes her eyes.
  22.
  23. Her eyes still closed, Elexia takes several deep, steadying breaths. She places violin and bow in her lap as she shakes out one arm, then the other. Then, she brings both to fold in front of her. Her eyes open again with a glint of defiance.
  24.
  25. The soft, echoing voice of Nocht, the Silent rings in your thoughts, "Thank you for the song, child."
  26.
  27. Nocht, the Silent has bestowed His divine favour upon you. It will last for 3 months.
  28.
  29. With a dip of her head, you say, "I hope you enjoyed it."
