  23. [00:18:33] Lotlhuitl's emerald green eyes opened wide. Her lips parted, the Nagual clearly about to say something, anything, in response to the power Kaschei called down from above.

  27. Alarmed, spooked, the Nagual had visibly stiffened. The allegedly fearless warrior-magi was spooked!

  29. Kraus, Kaschei called. Despite herself, despite her iron will, despite her pride, Lotlhuitl took a distinct step backwards at that.

  31. By the spirits, what had she done. What cruelty had fate dealt to her. She hadn't intended on stumbling on this Krausite's dwelling place. His den of.. whatever this was. She'd just been doing a good deed for that damn chef, admittedly with the thought of strengthening Gehenna, her own standing, and extorting the heck out of Cocinar the second he became useful. But still!

  33. "Spirits," Lotlhuitl gasped, the hair at the nape of her neck prickling. Her tail bristling. Her hands falling to her sides. Fingers clenching into fists.

  35. "No, I--"

  37. She wanted to take everything back.
  38.  
  39. Lotlhuitl screamed as the arcane energies of 'benevolence' and 'orderly kindness' flowed over her. She wanted to recoil. Her entire body stiffened, tension increasing as electricity suddenly crackled and rolled across her willowy, tense, form. As sacred light, holy stars, solar winds coursed through the room. Oh, she fell to her knees. Overwhelming. It was all overwhelming. It hurt.

  41. For a good second, she knelt there, eyes wide and dewy with tears. She stared up at Kaschei, her lips parted, breath ragged. She was trembling, weak. Fearful. Hurting.

  43. Anger surged within her.
  44.  
  45. How. Dare. He. Hurt. Her. Lotlhuitl grit her teeth, those eyes narrowing into slits. How. Dare. He. Make. Her. Feel. Weak. She could feel her will buck against the cleansing energies. She could feel herself resist. Her mana surge. Her soul. By the spirits, she felt her soul. She could feel it twist. Feel the so-called rot. Mana spiked around the youthful Nagual in direct reaction to Kaschei's words. His actions. His power.

  49. "No. This was a mistake. I am whole. The likes of you cannot help me."

  56. ... Oh. The Nagual wasn't happy at all. Kaschei looks confused after that, lips pursing and eyes set ahead with a deadpan stare.

  58. He frowns, slowly. "If you- just wait a minute, I can start to remove the curse..." He says, looking a bit ashamed with himself. He'd scared the poor Nagual with his religious light-show. Or, actually...

  60. She didn't look so much afraid as she did livid, now.

  75. Lotlhuitl's lips were drawn back, the Nagual baring her teeth at Kaschei. Her feline gaze had taken on a distinctly predatory edge, bordering on feral.

  79. "Yeah?" Lotlhuitl breathed. Her ears were pinned back flat against her head. Her tail wrapped around her waist, end twitching rapidly.

  81. Her muscles were visibly tense. Like one wrong word from the Krausite healer -- or truthfully, his apprentice -- and she would flip the fuck out. Attack.

  83. "I don't believe you," Lotlhuitl said, jabbing a hand forward to poke Kaschei's chest. Poke at the burns scarring him there. "You.. you're tricking me. Trying to convert me into.. into a weakling, like your apprentice."

  102. [00:38:11] Lotlhuitl was furious, tail flicking back and forth. Her thoughts were scattered. She was disoriented, visibly so. Distress concealed behind layer upon layer of anger. Fury.

  125. [00:45:52] Lotlhuitl snarled at Cocinar. Her fury, which had been blind, disorganised, more a response to the fear she had felt, suddenly had a new target.

  129. Lotlhuitl was not, generally speaking, a loud woman. Sure, she might have had a loose tongue, but her voice was usually low. Quiet. Dangerously so.

  133. The anger spiked within her. It. Hurt. Her blood was boiling. Rot taking hold of her, the Nagual was all but being pushed into a frenzy as she regarded Cocinar with utter distain, utter disbelief, utter..

  135. She lept at him. If Kaschei didn't hold her back, or Cocinar otherwise move out of the way, she plainly intended on backhanding the apprentice hard across the face.

  174. As one hand draws back- as her heels propel her body into a leap- there's the sound of a sudden, glassy *THUNK* as the Nagual strikes head-first into a wall of unseen force-!

  176. She is sent to recoil backwards with the force of her own plunge... and then, the Exorcist moves to stand in her path. "You have been a guest in my home. You have asked for healing, and I would still give it to you." He says, before leveling his staff forward...
  177.  
  178. "But you will not use violence in this house...! Pull yourself together, you're acting like a damn teenager." Harshly scolds the Krausite, reminded of Tragedy's stomping-tantrums.

  199. [01:02:04] The slap had not been Lotlhuitl striking Cocinar, but rather colliding with the solid, invisible wall of force. She had screamed at the apprentice, called him a slave. She was reeling, dazed. Angry.

  203. Tearful once more, Lotlhuitl had gazed up at Kaschei, her hair a mess. Heck. The Nagual generally looked a mess. There was a glimmer of agony in those emerald green eyes, even as she bared her teeth at him, even as she panted.

  207. He.. he was right. She was out of control.

  209. The realisation hit her harder than rushing into Kaschei's spell had.

  211. "I... I..." She breathed, face ashen.

  213. "Please forgive me." Lotlhuitl said. Unusual words from the Nagual. Difficult ones, too. Her skin prickled, her will spiking once more as something within her revolted against her backing down, revolted against her becoming composed.

  215. "I need some air. I - Cocinar, our debt is settled."

  217. Weak. She was weak. Weak. Weak. Weak. She could feel her connection to this world waning as she stopped embracing her emotions. As she pulled away from her anger. Visions. A punishment, for seeking healing, perhaps? Surely not. The room felt... distorted. Strange. Like it wasn't real, and the other life which sung to her was. Her senses in a far off place. It was cold. So cold. She shivered, her soul touched with ice.

  219. She was almost hysterical. A chuckle rolling from her lips as she pulled herself to her feet. Shaking, she would attempt to leave. She needed to get out.

  1023. [02:58:08] With a sigh, he levitated Lotl off the ground, and himself, enough so that they didn't have to walk, so that she wasn't forced to let go.

  1031. [03:00:41] Lotlhuitl lay next to Xoconan. More or less calm. She'd had time to compose herself.

  1035. [03:00:41] Lotlhuitl says, "I... it all happened by chance."
  1036. [03:01:32] Lotlhuitl says, "Maiya was going crazy at some weakling. I.. his weakness offended me. I dragged him into the caves to try and toughen him up. If Gehenna is going to prosper, we need strength, not.. blubbering."
  1037. [03:01:32] Lotlhuitl says, "I saved his neck from Maiya, I might add."
  1038. [03:01:32] Lotlhuitl says, "And then I.. we.. I don't know how it happened, but we stumbled upon Adsila and Kaschei's home."
  1039. [03:02:24] Lotlhuitl says, "They invited us in for coffee. Revealed that the weakling was actually Kaschei's apprentice."
  1040. [03:02:24] Lotlhuitl says, "I was unimpressed, but.. truthfully I'd been looking for Kaschei."
  1041. [03:02:24] Lotlhuitl says, "Dmex had told me to seek him, to.. rid myself of the soul rot. She.. needs my focus."
  1042. [03:03:15] Lotlhuitl says, "So I thought, I'd take him to task for his student and gain something I needed at the same time."
  1043. [03:03:15] Lotlhuitl says, "I told him that my price for his inept student was him curing me."
  1044. [03:07:31] Lotlhuitl had snuggled herself against Xoconan. She was as close as she could physically be to him, without taking her clothes off. (Or, you know, devouring him whole.)

  1046. She seemed.. gloomy, but aside from that, more or less okay.

  1048. "Kaschei scared me. It.. hurt. Made me kneel. And I panicked. I didn't want Kaschei to know I was frightened. Nor his apprentice. And that blubbering milk drinker said some really foolish, weak things. Tried to bargain with me, like we were equals. I.. I got angry and tried to backhand him for his idiocy."

  1050. She swallowed, not looking at Xoconan. The top of her head nestled just beneath his chin.. fluffy ears possibly tickling him as they twitched.

  1052. "Xoco, I - I really was out of control. I was going to try and slay them both."

  1058. [03:21:10] His eyes closed as he held the Nagual close, arms wrapped around her. How was it that almost daily, she had some new drama to tell him about, something she'd caused or had happened to her? Ah, well... You couldn't really control who you fell in love with.

  1060. "What did Kaschei want to do?" He asked softly, stroking her hair and back. It was cautious, already angry at the Krausite.
  1061.  
  1062. "Don't worry about a thing. You don't have to worry when you're in here. Do you want to talk to him- together? I could be there." He ran his chin along the top of her head, a hand coming to scratch at the base of one of those furry ears.

  1064. "I'll do anything for you, you know that."

  1068. [03:37:23] The Nagual exhaled slowly, making a sound that was halfway between a gasp and a hummed note as Xoconan's fingers found their way to her ears. "Kaschei - ah," Lotlhuitl stumbled over her words, snuggling closer to Xoconan as she felt his hands against her body. "He wanted to burn the curse from my soul."

  1070. Her tail wrapped around her body and his. Her hands at her chest, then pressed up against her chin.

  1072. "I.. I don't know if I should. It was awful. Terrifying. He called out to Kraus and light - starlight - and this wave of -"

  1074. Lotlhuitl shuddered, growing silent as she found herself biting gently against her knuckles.

  1076. "I knelt. I didn't want to. He apologised after, but.. I.. I felt shamed by it all."

  1080. [03:45:04] He thought for a moment, continuing to rub her ears. "Did it finish, or... Are you still cursed?" He gently asked, reaching down to place his hand between hers and her mouth, offering his own knuckles for her to bite on.

  1082. "There's another way, if you aren't. I've heard that you just need, well..." He pulled her tighter. "An Arcane magi. But, not necessarily one of Order. Someone like my Mom could do it, but... It would be painful."

  1084. His hand left her ear, instead finding her tail, something he'd neglected to touch. She always seemed to calm when he acted like a brat.

  1086. "I'm sure she wouldn't make you kneel."

  1090. [03:51:53] "I'm still cursed." Lotlhuitl answered. Her shame compounding -- a trace of that making it into her agonised voice. She'd been frightened, acted brashly, made a fool of herself, and all for what? Nothing. She had achieved nothing.

  1094. "She- she could help me?" She asked, briefly pulling back. "I'm not afraid of pain. It was the kneeling. I mean, I wasn't-"

  1096. His hand at her chin pulled her out of her thoughts. Blinking, she had looked up at him. Green eyes large, she looked up at him and kissed his fingers. His hand. Let him muffle her gasps.

  1098. She didn't bite him. Not initially.
  1099.  
  1100. Lotlhuitl stumbled over her words, embarrassment rising up within her. She desperately did not want Xococan to believe her a coward.
  1101.  
  1102. And then she felt his hand stroking over her tail. A soft, "nn," passed her lips, and she found herself biting him.

  1106. [03:59:34] "Sshhh, it's okay." He muttered. "There's nothing wrong with it. No Gehennan kneels, do they?" He reassured her, continuing to press his knuckles against her lips, letting her bite them instead of herself, to distract her.

  1108. "We'll go see Oyaotl, and see what she has to say. But she can help you, without kneeling, without and Krausite prayer." His hand continued to stroke along her tail, before he leaned down to press kisses along her head.

  1140. [15:46:59] While lounging back on his flower bed with his feet up, Sibri extended his hand out, palm facing the sky. His skin opened up- like an invisible knife had cut through it, and a seed wiggled out, soaked red.

  1142. The seed absorbed the blood, and cracked open, sprouting into a strange, bug-eyed creature within a few seconds... A mandrake, a lesser guardian of the forest...

  1144. Sibri watched happily as the critter hopped off of his hand, ran around his flower-bed in a circle, before hopping up to plop itself next to the bench beside Nyyra.

  1148. [15:50:24] Nyrra half-heartedly watches the going ons, her face passive. She was fine as long as those... things, didn't get any closer to her. The young Gehennan would find herself self-consciously scooting further away.

  1165. [15:55:31] The mandrake was well aware of Nyyra scooting away- it turned to look up to the woman, round bug-eyes squinting angrily!

  1167. If it had a mouth, it would've huffed. The critter hopped off of the bench then, plopping onto its face before wiggling back up straight, and then returned to Sibri's side.

  1169. Sibri found it difficult to suppress his giggle, and it took his lips into an amused grin. He shook his head, before once again opening his fingers, to let another seed slip out of the slit in his palm- and much like the last, it would sprout into a second mandrake!
  1170.  
  1171. "Here, have a friend," the boy chimed, nodding.
  1172.  
  1173. The two tiny forest spirits looked at each other with their eyes as wide as could be, a pleasant sort of expression... and promptly began to chase each other around Sibri's flower-bed.
  1174.  
  1175. "Mandrakes are needy spirits!" Sibri mused, with his head laid back, his gaze focused on the fading blue in the sky.
