The party decides to take a short rest after Alexander complained about how the party essentially left him for dead. During the rest, Elite Sparkle and Eldarion notice one of the cells that the minotaur skeletons emerged from contained a dark hallway leading them to a small room.

"This room contains a wooden cabinet with a numbered dial at its top set with two ornate metal spokes. Beneath the dial, a pendulum swings inside an open compartment. An egg-shaped
stone adorns the pendulum's tip."

They return to the party to tell everyone and come back with Redwing and Umaroth to investigate further. Redwing uses detect magic and notices an aura of transmutation magic on the clock. Shruikan, using his blind sense, notices an invisible door on the grandfather clock. After informing Eldarion, Eldarion tells the group and Umaroth's bats guide him to the key hole where they use the invisible key they found in the prior room. As he was about to put the key in, The clock struck 11am and they were all forced to make constitution saving throws. Umaroth and Eldarion failed and ended up aging for 10 years as the clock gonged. After settling down, Umaroth unlocked the invisible door and retrieved the egg-shaped jewel from the compartment. Immediately the transmutation magic emitting from the clock stopped and Redwing (after passing a history check) realized this was the fabled Navel of the Moon, the same item that Bag of Nails was searching for to find his lost son. With a successful check, they are able to discern that the Navel of the Moon is worth 2500gp and could fetch up to 3 times as much at auction.

The party then goes out and each pay tribute to the gargoyle statues so that they don't get obliterated. They investigate their options for which way to go.

Sparkle flies down the pit.

"A pungent stench fills this pentagonal room, the walls of which are covered with riveted sheets of iron. A wild garden full of sickly plants and rotting compost takes up most of the interior, and a narrow path hugs the walls between two exits. Jutting from the middle of the garden is a six-foot-tall rusty sprinkler. In the ceiling above the sprinkler, a ten-foot-wide shaft leads straight up."

Umaroth goes down the east hallway.

"A six-foot-tall green devil face is carved into the far end of this hallway, its mouth agape. Painted murals on the walls show faceless humanoid figures doubled over in pain, clutching at their heads and ears."

And then another (can't remember who) goes down the south hallway and gets to a T intersection. To the left they see:

"A stone slab blocks the end of this corridor. Painted on the slab is the image of a gaunt male humanoid wearing a hooded cloak, its face a mask of stars. The figure’s withered left hand is raised with palm extended."

And to the right they see:

"This dusty room is fifteen feet square and empty except for an ornate, rectangular mirror mounted on the wall opposite the room’s only exit."

They party then meets back at the gargoyle room and decides to investigate the mirror. They continue towards it while averting their eyes so that they don't look at the mirror, but Eruadan looked into it and had to make a charisma saving throw. He felt himself start to get pulled into the mirror but was able to fight it off. Umaroth then pulled out a mirror and looked at the mirror indirectly and could vary
vaguely see some distortions in the mirror making out 12 different sections. Redwing used detect magic and felt an aura of conjuration magic around the mirror. The party surmised that the 12 sections acted as prison cells and that if Eruadan had failed his check, he'd have been trapped in the mirror. Redwing then got the GRAND idea and essentially said, "Hey what if i dispel the mirror and unleashed the contents of this cell? Who cares if they could all be CR 25 demons." The party put it to a vote and barely voted yes. *sigh* The contents of the cell then began to emerge and out came (in this order):

-A chultan male who cowered in fear
-An invisible stalker
-A minitaur
-A troll who started fighting the minotaur
-A drow mage who started to defend himself but got killed by the invisible stalker
-A male human adventure who ran past it all and hurdled past the party to the end of the hall with the stone slab
-A giant four armed gargoyle
-A female chultan champion who fought with the minotaur to kill the troll and the invisible stalker
-A stirge who killed the first chultan male in one succ

Given the position of the party, only Umaroth, Redwing and Eruadan were able to do much and by the end of it, only the female champion (Lukanu) and the minotaur (Zaal) remained. They turned back to see that the stone slab was rising back up, as though it had been opened during the battle and was closing again. Lukanu immediately started to question the party and who they were demanding to know where Queen Napaka was. After dialogue, it was found out that she and Zaal had been captured during the fall of Omu and that she was a bodyguard of the Queen. It was also found out that the sarcophagous that had the jeweled beetle and the jade key in the throne room when yall first got to this level was her tomb. After finding out that she had failed her sole mission in life, she proceeded to take off her armor. In doing so, she was stricken with a huge amount of poison and died (suicide). Zaal, being of few words, followed suit and took his life. Redwing took a look at the armor and could tell it was magical but that it was also cursed. Eruadan then realized that he had the identify spell and used it on the armor and revealed all its properties. It was revealed to be scorpion armor (magical item look it up) and after some meta calculations, Eldarion realized that he could don the armor without being instantly killed even if I rolled the highest I could. He put on the armor and survived.

The party then went to the end of the hall and investigated the slab. They then copied the figure on the slab and extended their left hand and the slab began to open.

"The slab sinks into the floor, revealing a dusty passageway beyond. Relief carvings on the walls depict crowds of humanoids fleeing a black star in the sky, with rays of light extending from it to turn those they strike to dust."

They then go in carefully and find:

"In this central open space, a gold crown topped with a glittering black opal rests on a marble pedestal."

Next to the pedestal was a fresh pool of blood with drag marks leading around the corner to an unexplored section of the maze. It lead into:

"A green stone face of devilish countenance protrudes from the wall. The devil’s mouth is agape and filled with darkness."

They could tell that this wasn't an ordinary kind of darkness. Redwing used detect magic and noticed an aura of transmutation on the face and that the darkness was some kind of object, but not a material one. More like it was just a hole in space. They showed caution and didn't tamper with it and return to the pedestal. Redwing could detect divination magic coming from the pedestal and they were also able to tell there was some kind of trap involve and that the crown acted as a counter weight. After a history check, they realized this was the fabled Black Opal Crown that the yuan ti were after and that it was worth 5000gp but could fetch up to four times as much at auction. They did not succumb to greed *proud* and decided to leave it alone. They gathered the rest of the party who was waiting outside, and continued to the other exit of the maze which lead to the green devil face at the end of the hallway that Umaroth originally investigated.
