What I’m going to do is try to explain as as well as I can giving parse information, screenshots and videos where appropriate.

For the sake of reading, I’m going to also abbreviate the Sinful Kings to SK, Devil’s Bastards to DB, Gutter Rats to GR and Bareo Azteca to BA.

I am also going to send all parse information from the night I am referring to so that you can see nothing has been removed or edited from our side.



We have roleplayed in the area of Paleto Bay for almost a month before our faction thread was approved, which coincided with the Hen House purchase and opening.



We hadn’t interacted with DB prior to the first evening despite our attempts.

DB arrived in force, with the RB who had come to visit the new establishment only. DB expressed that they were unhappy that the SK were on their turf and said that if the SK did not take off their kuttes they would be killed:

As you can see from the parse, it was decided by Grayson that night that they had been presented with a ‘kill or be killed’ situation because the threat to their lives and business had been clear with mention of the Knights of Chaos faction (which obviously used to be ours) and their being destroyed by a gunfight. Grayson gathered his MC and they went out to hunt for DB to put an end to the already created scenario but could not find any of them and so nothing came of it (Line 1958 onwards).



That evening, when the roleplay had died down Grayson received a message on discord from someone that we were roleplaying with to say that he had been sent some OOC chatter between Anton Salvatore (DB) and Kurtis Bell (GR) whilst the meeting was still in progress to discuss their wish to destroy our faction. As you can see from the time stamps on discord, this was well after we had already decided IC to kill DB on the basis of the threats they had made and therefore, irrespective of the OOC chats that were being had about us, we had already set in motion a path of roleplay based on the narrative that had been presented to us by the DB.

As you can appreciate this surprised us given that the GR had no interaction with our faction at this point but had decided, irrespective of this, to keep themselves aware of what our faction was doing. We believe that this was due to a disagreement that Kurtis Bell had with Grayson OOC. Grayson expressed that he thought Kurtis Bell and Maverick Russell, the characters, were gay. Kurtis Bell took extreme umbrage with this and so Grayson apologised OOC for any offense that had been caused by the remark about the characters and we thought it had been put to bed. There was no other reason for Kurtis Bell to want to be involved with us but that one scenario.

Right away Kurtis Bell began to boast that he was hired to kill us. This is where our knowledge, alongside his personal thread where he posted the cell conversation in its entirety where he was hired, came from. Kurtis also began to tell people OOC that there was a whole slew of people involved in this apparent OOC plot to destroy our faction which included RB and DRD. We, therefore, decided to reach out to DB, who were in contact with DRD, to confirm that there indeed was no trouble on an OOC level that would be brought to IC which they did via discord chat.



Kurtis Bell was then made aware of this and asked by ourselves and RB (As far as we were told) to stop the ooc and stop dragging unaffiliated parties into whatever he was trying to create.



The next day Grayson logged on after work and received a phone call that told him where the DB were from one of his faction members.

After the first shooting, Ivan escaped on foot, jumped on his bike and rode off. When questioned about this he claimed desync and that he was never hit. We would like to request that the logs are pulled (if there’s any way to check damages after the fact) as he was too far away for us to do so at the time, and also screenshots and videos clearly show that he was hit by blood spray. The rest were killed outright.



Later on, in the evening DB (those that remained), GR and (bizarrely) BA arrived at the Hen House. As we were inside we had no knowledge of this until one of our hangaround who was outside saw a group of armed men mobilising at the front doors and called Grayson. Grayson told everyone to prepare.
We were then whispered by Phillip Baker who said they had shot the door lock off with a shotgun and so Grayson unlocked the door as per the RP.



As you can see from the parse information, our guys confirmed that they would wait for the first people to load. If they were aggressive, that was the precedent that was being set which, given that they had already acted in an aggressive way by breaking in, was extremely fair.



In any case, they rushed in and were gunned down but claimed that they had not loaded. This, however, is clearly not the case as Kurtis Bell has time to run across the room with his machete, as did one of the BA guys before they were killed.


It would appear that yes, Phillip Baker did get caught in the wall which was unfortunate but the RP dictated (as their plan was flawed) that they would surely die in the attempt to siege a building by running in the front door. They had given prior warning of their entry by shooting off the door lock and then rushed in, which funnelled them realistically into a rectangle door frame shape killzone. Survival would have been low given that there were shotgun wielding people waiting for them.

It is not fair to say that they had not loaded in. In actual fact, most of them had the opportunity to get inside before they were killed. As it was decided when the Knights of Chaos were attacked, anyone else was caught in crossfire. They were not smart in the entry of the building so realistically, most would have died irrespective of game limitations in loading.



Right away they went to /B and claimed that it was unfair and they were going to report. We said that they should.



Besides this, we have roleplayed at length with the PD and accepted punishment for what transpired ICly. It has been a great arc of story for our faction and we are pleased to have the opportunity to follow it. The same would have been said if we had lost. As can be seen from our faction history, with the Knights of Chaos, we are not afraid to take losses and the faction would have folded if we had died, but on this occasion, we didn’t.


Ivan, leader of DB, contacted us OOC over discord to try and reach a consensus of what was happening going forward. I must say that his attitude was hostile and petulant from the outset even though we expressed no wish to ruin his roleplay. We have been tarred with the brush of an OOC play to win mentality and this, we feel, is extremely unfair given all that we did was follow the roleplay that they brought to us with threatening us initially. Realistically it would have been our wish for the characters who actually instigated this roleplay to have died entirely, as the situation we have now (PD think DB are dead, given that's what the crime scene presented, they are still around) is really jarring for immersion sake but we have done our best, and continue to do our best, to be reasonable.

We are however getting to the point that the upset on the other side is so obvious that it is making us worry that there will be a continuance of this ‘beef’ because of OOC feelings and we would like, if at all possible, FM to take a view of the current situation and set out wrongdoing, if indeed there is any on our side, and the most realistic path forward for us all.

We would be extremely unhappy to have to void all of this as we have had some fantastic and really enjoyable RP with PD (feedback of which has been good from their side too) and we would be sad to lose that from our character story but ultimately we would follow whatever we were told to.



I would also like to mention Line 1191 (https://pastebin.com/WPeLzKDJ) of the first night that this all started. Adero had cause to confirm some details with Grayson about items as you can probably see from his record and before Adero even contacted him he received a PM from someone we do not know to tell us about admin involvement ahead of time. The tone of these messages was vitriolic to say the least which he found incredibly surprising given we had no idea who this person was.

When we asked Adero about this after the fact he couldn’t understand where the info had come from as he had only been talking in an administrator chat. Obviously, we can’t say it’s related and it certainly wasn’t anything to do with Adero but someone, at least, was unhappy with us enough for seemingly no reason to react so unpleasantly toward us. This could just be a massive coincidence but given that the person said they were ‘an informant’ and with the OOC that transpired was swirling around, it seems suspicious.
