Keiru's Dilemma

[09:34] * Keiru storms out of the tavern, and goes on a long walk towards the edge of Moosecow.
[09:35] <~Blackout> Keiru takes various tunnels underground likely, as there is no way out above ground. Probably in a few hours time coming to a tunnel roadblock with guards, barded wire and concrete barriers and machine guns. Light can be seen further down the tunnel, along with travellers waiting in line to enter and exit the city.
[09:36] * Keiru carefully observes various families around as she passes through. Upon reaching the gate, she waits in line with the rest of the travellers.
[09:38] <~Blackout> Power armor ponies and two fatigue clad earth pony stallions run the checkpoint, funneling travellers through with efficiency and precision. Soon enough Keiru is to the front of the line, one of them approaches her. "Name, occupation, and reason for leaving please." he starts casually. If Keiru is perceptive, two guards on the catwalks appear to be looking at her and observing a computer terminal, whispering back and forth.
[09:39] * Keiru speaks slightly shakily, "K-Keiru C-crimson... none... find something I lost..."
[09:41] <~Blackout> The stallion nods slowly, looking over his shoulder at the two by the terminal, and they make signals of some sort. However the stallion nods, writing that down. "Well, you're clear, stay safe out there. And watch for bandits and raiders. Try to stick with group if you can."
[09:42] * Keiru nods, not looking up, "R-raiders, r-right..."
[09:44] <~Blackout> The chain link door slides open, the outside now ahead of her, sunlight shining into the fortified tunnel entrance.
[09:45] * Flay ([email protected]) has joined channel #DeadCityOps
[09:45] * Keiru steps out, following some semblance of a path known as 'straight', however she doesn't really look up to see where she's going.
[09:46] <~Blackout> Around her other ponies are entering and exiting most follow the tracks, and soon enough all emerge onto the windswept tundras surrounding the city on all sides, sparse suburds collude the area, but most ponies stick close to the rail tracks the wind out into the rolling hilly tundra, headed south. A clear path carved near said tracks.

[09:48] * Keiru follows with the group until the entrance to the city is out of sight, then keeps track of who's going where.

[09:49] <~Blackout> Most keep hella close to the tracks, on a regular basis armored railcars come rolling down the tracks, machine gun laden soldiers riding along, keeping the rails safe, along with ground patrols in camps every once in a while, but soon enough Keiru might take not of a campfire smoke rising just east of the tracks from what looks like a sparse suburb about a half a click from the tracks.

[09:50] * Keiru notices the campfire and travels over towards it. She starts murmuring.
[09:52] * Keiru takes out a small notepad, having left her pipbuck back with Antidote. She writes down a question on the pad.
[09:53] <~Blackout> Soon enough the source of the smoke comes into view, it's a campsight constructed just outside an abandoned convience store, a few dismal looking houses around it as well. The camper comprise of what looks like and older aged mare, a small colt, a caravan mercenary, and their pack brahmin.
[09:55] * Keiru steps closer to the fire, looking at the group. Whatever fire was burning in her system seemed to have cooled off, leaving her cold.
[09:56] <~Blackout> The caravan guard stands back from the group, he is looking at Keiru, a Kalash assault rifle leveled at the mare. The colt looks up at Keiru and nudges the elderly mare. "Grandma! Grandma! Lookit! THere's a mare here to see us!"
[09:57] * Keiru winces hard at the colt's voice, but she doesn't stop, and just lays down at the campfire, trying to restore a mental warmpth.
[09:59] <~Blackout> The guard growls. "Hey, tah' hell you think you're doing fool?" he says, but the elderly mare waves a hoof dismissively at him. "Nono... it's alright, mare looks alright to me, tired and cold too." The guard grumbles and splits attention between Keiru and watching the perimeter.
[10:01] * Keiru snorts, "alright? Should listen to your guard."
[10:03] <~Blackout> The mare looks over to Keiru. "Oh? Well I hope you don't try anything, I don't want to see a young thing like yourself hurt, or anypony else for that matter." she smiles and the colt trots over cautiously, "Would... would yah' like to buy anythin'?" he asks hopefully. "Grandma says I'm gunna be a reary good trader one day!" he says brightly.
[10:07] * Keiru whines a little at his hopeful voice, "I... don't really have anything to trade in return, not any caps either." She takes out her notepad and writes down another question
[10:10] <~Blackout> The colt sadfaces but smiles. "Oh it's k! Wait! I have n' idea, you trade me a story for somethin' of value!" He smiels happily and hops up and down at his cleverness. "Good deal right?" he clearly values interaction over much else.
[10:12] * Keiru winces, "You... really don't want my story, or any story I know. Your guard would put a round through my head faster than I could say, 'the end'."
[10:13] <~Blackout> The colt shakes his head. "Yah' can make it up if yah' like, just somethin' fun! Meetin' ponies is fun I like to think, it gets lonely with nopony else to play with." his lip quivers slightly at the prospect he might not be able to make a trade.
[10:13] <~Blackout> The mare smiles and watches from her seat, sipping something from a coffee mug. The guard relaxes only just slightly but remains wary and alert.
[10:15] * Keiru sighs, and thinks, "All right..." With a little bit of thought, "There once was a group of ponies. Very special ponies, that decended from the stars themselves..." She begins.
[10:16] <~Blackout> The colt giggles happily. He was going to make a profit after all! He hops up and down a few more times before looking up at Keiru with awestruck eyes as the story begins, trying to work out the imagery in his clever young mind.
[10:20] <Keiru> "The group of ponies were a happy bunch, but they don't appear like normal ponies, no. For while half of them is that of a normal pony, the other half is entirely made of starstuff!" She blows a little on the campfire, sending up sparks to the sky.
[10:22] <~Blackout> The colt ooohs and aaahs at the story, settling down next to Keiru to listen, pawing at a can with his hoof absent midedly as he listened, a very content smile on his face because somepony new had come along.
[10:29] * Keiru smiles painfully at the colt, heart melting again, "Now, these ponies of the stars wished to meet the little ponies of the world, but the ponies of the world were scared of the ponies of the stars. They were scared of what they could do, or how they would act."
[10:30] <~Blackout> The colt nods in understanding, wondering how he could ever pay back such a cool story, but nonetheless looking engrossed and he looks up at Keiru from his seat, big bright eyes twinkling in the firelight in anticipation.

The starponies, however, were okay with the rules, since they would follow them anyway, without them being set. So the things between the two pony groups seemed okay for a while, but it wasn't to last."

[10:38] <Keiru> "While everything was just about okay, one of the starponies stepped out and attacked a normal pony!" She pauses for effect, "The starpony was punished for her actions, but so were the other starponies and the rules became harder and stricter, making life for the starponies harder."
[10:39] <~Blackout> The colt blinks and sadfaces. "What happened to them then?" he asks quietly. Excited but scared somewhat, being he was enthralled in the story, the mare listens as well, sipping her coffee.
[10:42] <Keiru> "While the ponies were scared, the starponies grew resentful, nearly ready to fight back to earn their freedom from the strict rules, even if it meant they would never find happiness."
[10:43] <~Blackout> The colt sadfaces. "But! but fighting is no good! Then nopony can be happy and hug and be friends! Because everypony..." he trails off, but it was clear what he was going to say, 'Everypony is dead'.
[10:47] * Keiru nods, "You're right. But! Just before the two groups would fight. Three special ponies showed up. One was a pony of the world, another was a starpony, and the third, the third... was a young little colt. The colt was part pony of the world, and part starpony."
[10:49] <~Blackout> The colt quiets again, hoping deep down for a super good ending!

[10:56] * Keiru smiles, "The colt and his family looked at the leaders of both sides, but it was finally the colt who spoke up. 'Why are you scared of us?' he asked. The ponies of the world responded, 'because you attacked us'. The colt asked back, 'when did I attack you?'. To this, the ponies of the world said, 'when that one struck at us'."
[10:58] <~BroadestPeak> The colt nods, actually thinking about that. It really was a sad thing, and it kind of made him think about the Old War some.
[11:05] <Keiru> "The colt was confused, so he asked, 'Are we that one?'. The ponies of the world couldn't answer the colt's question, so they just stood there. After a time, the colt spoke again, 'If one of you from each side could love each other, then why can't all of us, both starpony and world pony, love each other too?'"
[11:08] <~BroadestPeak> The colt nods vigorously in agreement, staying quiet because his momma had always said it was polite to not interrupt! he inadvertently lays against Keiru's side.
[11:18] * Keiru isn't paying attention as she wraps up the story, "Without a way to explain their fear, the two leaders stepped up to the colt and began to speak, 'If we are scared, and we blame everypony for one pony's mistake, we are blind to the good that the other can bring, and the good that we can make together.' The leaders reconciled their differences and instead of war, the two types of
[11:18] * Keiru ponies met in the field for play. Time passed and that colt grew into a Stallion and had colts and fillies of his own, and he passed on this same story to them, and they passed it onto theirs, and so on and so forth. The tales say that these special ponies that brought starpony and world pony together do exist, and you just have to look for the sparkle in their eyes." She smiles
[11:21] <~BroadestPeak> The colt giggles happily and smiles, hopping up. "That was really realy REALLY good!" he giggles happily at having made such a good trade, or rather about to. "So uhm'... what may I offer you? I don't have much, but I try!" he sasy proudly. "Grandma gives me an allowance n' I try to gain stuff! be a reary good trader pony!" he says with enthusiasm.
[11:23] * Keiru looks over at the elder mare, then smiles at the colt, "Are words worth that much to you?"
[11:24] <~BroadestPeak> The colt hops up and down in response. "Well ah' course. I gotta' know things n' be really smart and know ponies if I want to do good out there right? So I have some healing potions, some ammo... some bandages... scrap electonics..." he says digging in his pack with flailing hoovsies.
[11:27] * Keiru thinks, "... do you have a small necklace of some sort?"
[11:28] <~BroadestPeak> The colt nods. Flailing his hoovsies a bit more as he digs in his pack. "I have some stuff like that, but nopony evah' buys it! So I keep it 'cause maybe when I'm older I can give it to somepony special!" he digs out a few small boxs containing necklaces for Keiru.
[11:29] * Keiru thinks again, and looks at the necklaces he has. She looks for something spesific, a necklace of promise, an engagement necklace.
[11:32] <~BroadestPeak> There is a silver necklace that stands out among the group.
[11:33] * Keiru holds up the silver necklace, "This one?"
[11:34] <~BroadestPeak> The colt nods. "That was one of my momma's! You can have et', you could use it!"
[11:36] * Keiru smiles and nods, she places the necklace in her armor's pouch and removes the hidden blades on her hind hooves, setting them in front of the colt, "Just because it has more value to you, and it does mean more to me, too."
[11:37] <~BroadestPeak> The colt blinks at the blades. "Nu-uh miss! You need these to stay safe if anypony tries to hurt you!" he says it like he is teaching her, adorably.
[11:40] * Keiru holds up her front hooves and unsheathes the blades, "I've got these, don't worry." She looks at the guard and puts the blades away.
[11:41] <~BroadestPeak> The guard was wary, but doesn't look extremely concerned. The colt nods. "I umh'... feel wrong takin' there... I dun' like to carry weapons... just promotes hurtin'! He pouts some at the blades, looking at them with distaste, especially as a businesspony, he tried really hard to be clean in his practice.
[11:43] <~BroadestPeak> *'!"
[11:45] * Keiru nods, "Okay, if you say so." She takes the blades back, "Thank you little one."
[11:47] <~BroadestPeak> The colt smiles. offering his hoovsies for a hug, it was his personal way to seal a good trade. "I'm Marginal Value by the way!" he offers with a smile, looking up at the much larger mare.
[11:49] * Keiru smiles and hugs the little colt. "Nice to meet you, Marginal Value, I'm Keiru Longcaster."
[11:50] * BroadestPeak hugs as best he can with his small hoovsies, nuzzling her cheek before releasing the hug. "It was really nice meeeting you!"
[11:51] * Keiru smiles, "Thank you again." She waves as she leaves the family, back to the rails, returning to the city.
[11:53] <~BroadestPeak> The colt calls after Keiru. "Bai miss! Come back soon alrighty!" But soon enough Keiru is back in the city, having passed through the same entrance she exited through in due time.
[11:55] * Keiru scratches down a lot of the paper, writing one final question on the bottom, then grabs a scrap box from somewhere, places both the note and the necklace inside. Then goes on a hunt for Blackout.
[11:56] <~BroadestPeak> Keiru probably started by taking a public train back to the capital then, stepped off onto the main platform in the trainyard,, and beelined for the military pubs in the Market Sector.
[11:56] * Keiru looks around, seeking Blackout, perhaps asking a couple ponies where he's at
[11:57] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout is sitting at a table with Swept_Wing, drinking a beer and looking rather impartial.
[11:58] <Proverb> Swept is nodding every so often at what his Captain is saying, just listening.
[12:00] * Keiru steps right up to Blackout, and sets the box in front of him. Inturrupting, "Colts and Filles are just one step away from angels. I'm lucky I ran into one." She steps away and leaves without another word.
[12:00] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout blinks at Keiru, before looking at Swept and then to the box, he opens it and looks inside.
[12:01] <Proverb> Swept shrugs.
[12:01] <Keiru> The necklace is inside, along with a note.
[12:01] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout sets his beer down and draws the note out. Looking down at it.
[12:03] * BroadestPeak reads the questions, answers immediately coming into his mind, then he looks at the necklace. Uncertain as tyo why it had been given to him.

[01:18] <Proverb> Swept looks on curiously, not saying anything.
[01:18] * Keiru attempts to plant a kiss on Blackout
[01:19] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout slips a hoof where the kiss was about to land, without looking at her. "Keiru, what in the hell are you doing." it was a statement, not a question.
[01:20] <Proverb> Swept chuckles softly, sipping at his beer as he watched.
[01:20] * Keiru pulls back and wipes her mouth, "Just trying to return what's yours." She turns to go again.
[01:21] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout just sighs and shakes his head, setting the necklace and the note back into the box, sending it out ofter Keiru.
[01:23] * Keiru takes it back, "Just as thoughtless as the rest of everything I do." She heads out.
[01:24] <Proverb> Swept sighs. "What are you going to do with her Captain?"
[01:25] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout looks over to Swept. "Am I cruel in finding myself apathetic to the fact that I'm always the pony left picking up the pieces when that mare is involved Lieutenant? Or am I wrong in finding that conclusion a blessing?"
[01:29] <Proverb> Swept shakes his head. "Look Captain, I'm probably the /last/ pony you'd want to come for relationship advice, but Rough's pregnant. You /can't/ lose her, and if you do, I will find your ass and beat it all the way until the delivery."
[01:31] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout glares at Swept. "She is the one tearing me asunder, HER AND KEIRU. AND WITH THAT IN MIND..." he takes a breath. "If push comes to shove, I'm waiting until the foal is delievered, and I'm leaving the tavern, never going back, it wouldn't be my first heart break."
[01:31] * BroadestPeak adds. "With my foal."
[01:32] * Keiru returns to the tavern temporarily, before exiting and approaches the hospital
[01:33] <Proverb> Swept shakes his head. "And what about Rough? You would break /her/ heart too... and honestly... I don't think she could take it, especially if you took the foal."
[01:35] <~BroadestPeak> Antidote was at the pub just earlier, he wasn't exactly delighted with what he saw, all the while he had sat with Blackout and Swept before, but he had left before to head back to work, and he is trotting along to the hospital, perhaps intercepted by Keiru. Meanwhile Blackout sighs. "I love her more than anything Swept, I do. But if she can't get a grip on this, then I won't sit around and let it tear me asunder. I let her know she has t

[01:36] <~BroadestPeak> "I let her know she has the decision on what she does, go or not. I simply refuse to be the janitor to it anymore, everyone hurt and looking for me to fix it, over and over and over like a twisted carnival ride!"
[01:36] <Proverb> Swept takes a drink of his beer. "You wanna know what I think?"
[01:37] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout chuckles sadly. "No, but you should tell me anyways."
[01:39] <Proverb> "Next time you see her, you need to propose. You two already love each other, and are having a foal, so getting married would only seem natural, plus, that means that Keiru'd have to stay away from Rough."
[01:39] * Keiru does intercept Antidote, "A-antidote..."
[01:39] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout chuckles darkly. "Funny, I had intended to propose tomorrow... but Keiru... has gone and fucked that up..."
[01:40] * Proverb frowns. "Do it anyway."
[01:40] <Proverb> Swept*
[01:40] <Proverb> "Keiru shouldn't be getting between you two. It. Shouldn't. Matter."
[01:40] <~BroadestPeak> Antidote looks over to Keiru, and refrains from frowning, but he doesn't smile. "Sup' Keiru." On the other end Blackout chuckles. "Swept, that's about is standard as 'things are falling apart, better have a baby together, that will fix it!' in reverse order."
[01:42] <Proverb> Swept sighs. "So, you're going to break Rough's heart and waltz off with her foal, all because some raider couldn't control her fucking urges?"
[01:43] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout takes a sip of his beer. "Do you think, that a band would make a difference, she doesn't care, she's a raider with positive feelings, still taking what she wants from who she wants. And no, I'm leaving it to Rough. If she wants to be indecisive, then she can, I won't get married just to have it fall apart around me."
[01:44] * Keiru looks very lost, even her motions show it, "I-I know there's something wrong with me... but... I-I don't know how to fix it... I might not be around much... I..." She sighs, "If I can't find help here, I'm going to... I don't even know, go somewhere for a while..."
[01:46] <~BroadestPeak> Antidote shakes his head. "I can tell you... what your major malfunction is Keiru... and after I heard Blackout talk and shiver at the bar for an hour... I know it's true."
[01:47] * Keiru blinks in shock, "Wh-th-then what is it?"
[01:48] <~BroadestPeak> "You are your major malfunction, you look around you for others to fix your problems, you are still addicted to Rough, and when she tells you to stop, you just bnack off and reingage later, it's all about you and what you want, just like a raider. Take what you want by any means, and fuck anyone who gets in your way. Well shit stops today."
[01:48] <Proverb> Swept sighs. "Look, Captain, I can understand where you're coming from... and I don't quite know how to help, or stop it from happening, except for Keiru has to go. Someway, somehow. That's the high and low of it.

[01:49] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout nods. "What, kill her? Deport her? I refuse to get that low. To be honest, Rough has to figure it out. I'm just a stallion, and I have a heart to! Nine different mares Swept! NINE! I turned them all down for her."
[01:50] * Keiru recoils a bit, "I-I... I don't..." She silences
[01:51] <Proverb> "If you have a heart, then why can't I see it? This mess you're in has driven you to stop caring. Not just about this, but, everything."
[01:51] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout honestly looks so passive about it it's pitiful. Antidote continues on the other end. "You don't? You don't what? You don't beleive me? Well look at the evidence, others help you, Blackout throws you a lifering, and then you drown him with it. Rough gives you leeway with ear nibbles, then you fuckin' escalate to kissing and ask for more, what the everloving fuck Keiru?"
[01:53] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout looks at Swept. "Oh no, I care very much for my charge, but the thing with Rough? It's a matter of decisiveness, she keeps telling me she doesn't want it to happen, then it happens again. So that's my fault to Swept?"
[01:54] * Keiru quivers, "I... I... I know what I'm going to do... I guess... good bye for now, Antidote..."
[01:54] <~BroadestPeak> Antidote doesn't even stop her he's so upset. "Adios muchacha. Ciao. Detretst y'nosa." he shakes his head and trots on.
[01:55] * Keiru trots on, out of the city again, and off the path immediately.
[01:55] <~BroadestPeak> Keiru must be travelling underground, so if off the beathen path she wanders into the abandoned tunnels.
[01:56] <Proverb> Swept shakes his head, standing. "Captain, at this point, you need to seriously reconsider your options. Eithier stay with Rough or leave her. None of this in-between bullshit." He puts his cap on. "I wish I could help, but, you need to figure this out on your own."
[01:56] * Keiru means to leave the tunnels above ground at some point.
[01:57] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout nods. "Indeed LT, ain't life grand?"
[01:57] <~BroadestPeak> Keiru would follow the tunnels likely then out to the south once more, probably emerging in the suburbs just outside the city.
[01:58] <Proverb> Swept nods, picking up his beer. "It's fucking awesome sometimes Cap. Have a nice evening."
[01:59] <~BroadestPeak> "Always." Blackout hops to his hooves and heads for his room.
[02:00] <Proverb> Swept wanders back to the hangar. "I feel like I accomplished nothing 20/20. That engine ready yet..."
[02:00] * Keiru wanders, on the search for some unsavory types with irons and chains.
[02:01] * Proverb would be following at both a fair distance and a fair height.
[02:02] <~BroadestPeak> Keiru won't find anything in this particular sector of that sort, but she might run into DCR snipers. Or the bullets.

[02:03] * Keiru doesn't intend to do any harm to anyone along the way, but if she finds nothing, she just keeps travelling.

[02:09] <~BroadestPeak> Keiru must travel a long time, but being the timeframe... doesn't find them, slavers seem to have disappeared from the face of the continent.

[02:24] * Keiru shakes her head, "No. Don't deserve it anyway."
[02:24] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout nods. "Damn right you don't. But fuck, what are you doing here. Better yet, what the hell are we doing here?"
[02:25] * Keiru shrugs, "No idea why you're here. But I came here to get captured by slavers." She rambles, as if her thoughts are automatically becoming her words.
[02:26] <~BroadestPeak> "So... along with being a raider you want to become a captive to slavers. Do you remember what time in the future it is?" he says mockingly, this Blackout is much less proper than the real one, and not near as nice.
[02:27] <Keiru> "Twenty five past SnR, and? Raiders take what they want with little restriction, while slaves have total restriction with almost nothing they want. Sounds like a good balance to me, teaches gratitude."
[02:29] <~BroadestPeak> "You think that means shit? Others tried to teach you nicely, you think those fucks will have any more luck? You damn well drowned me with my own lifering I threw you, you'll think you'll feel worse when they kill you. And seriously, it's  only a year after SnR, get in the game."
[02:31] * Keiru blinks, "still. They'll do the one thing you always refused, physically beat it into me. You keep thinking that sheer mental damage will work on an already broken mind, Blackout. Newsflash, it won't help! Yes, I fucked up a lot, and I deserve death."
[02:33] * BroadestPeak snorts and laughs. "Yea ok Raider, dealer of pain, force will work real fuckin' great won't it? But go ahead, look around for slavers, so if it works. Or you could, oh I don't know, Soldier THE FUCK UP."
[02:37] <Keiru> "I'm not a soldier, Blackout. Raiders are also known cowards. And in case you never noticed, mares don't have any balls at all! I was the raider's damn hoar until I managed to get my hooves on drugs, did what I was told and got what I wanted. Once I was out of my mind, I managed to rule over my own band of raiders. So was getting me off of them really a change for the better?"
[02:38] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout growls. "If you are alive, you're a soldier, every day is a fight to survive. You think the high life is that, you pillaged ponies who were weaker, but you know what they had, the courage to do things fairly. To do them the right way. And you know what, that means something to me. What about you huh?"
[02:40] <Keiru> "Right way or Wrong way. A path is a path, if it leads to the same result, why should I care about a difference?"
[02:40] <~BroadestPeak> "Because how you got there probably made a big difference."
[02:41] <Keiru> "All the difference was how much effort was used and who was left behind."
[02:42] <~BroadestPeak> "Yea, well I promis you they put a dmaned better effort than you did, because you had to resort in taking what they earned, you didn't earn shit, you just took it."
[02:43] <~BroadestPeak> "Just like you try to take Rough, because it's a damn shiny."
[02:44] <Keiru> "In the end, if you have, why should I... why should I care..." She stops and looks at herself, "... really? Do I really think that?"

[02:45] <~BroadestPeak> "I don't know, I'm imagine-fucking-nary. But I can tell you this. You got a couple choices, quit runnin' like a scared bitch. Or tap-out. Let me know, because I can do either for you."
[02:49] * Keiru sighs, "I need... no... I want to care... this... I have to stop this. Rough is a friend and I'm hurting her with what I'm doing, and Antidote's suffering for it, and Blackout... damn. Just damn."
[02:51] <~BroadestPeak> Blackout scoffs. "Well, I'm your mind, and I can tell you that it ain't something anyone else can fix for you, your condition. Isn't a cure in a bottle of alcohol, a bottle of pills, or the barrel of a gun. And I do mean to be a dick, but if I was Blackout... yea I'd shoot you. In fact...." he draws a revolver and trots over to Keiru.
[02:54] * Keiru looks at Blackout, "The Barrel of the Gun solves everyone else's problems except my own, and that's the one thing I need to do before I die, solve my own damn problems. So if you want to shoot me, shoot me so I can get back to wherever reality is and continue fucking trying."
[02:56] <~BroadestPeak> "So eager. Well remember these two things then. The first is, look inward, not fuggin' outward for a solution. Anf the other is, if it sucks so much to live, why is it so hard to die? Because you asked Blackout that, and I don't think you had an answer." he cocks the revolver. "Showtime baby, time to wakey wakey." he puts it to her head and pulls the trigger. Lights out for Keiru before she likely jolts awake.
[03:01] * Keiru jolts awake as expected in the wastes. She shoos away some critters before standing and looking about. She sighs, then looks forward, "All right, time for some severe internal reworking." She thinks for a moment, "Now where am I going to get magically erasing paint?" She trots back in the general direction of Moosecow.
[03:02] <~BroadestPeak> Depending on how far Keiru walked, it could take a day or four to get back.
[03:04] * Keiru returns on the verge of passing out again, starved and thirsty, she makes her way back into the tavern.
